I had taken it to the store that it was purchased from and gotten their price. I just wanted to see how Accent compared. I've never done business with them before, as I am not in the habit of selling jewelry. My diamond was $10K when it was purchased in 2006. Platinum band, ~1 carat natural diamond with excellent clarity. I have the receipt from its purchase, but didn't provide it to Accent - I wanted to see what they'd say. Their offer? ** $575 ** $575 for a $10K ring? How in God's name does a piece of jewelry deteriorate in value that much? I am baffled. And how is it that the jeweler that sold it recently offered me $5K? I understand people need to make a profit - I do. I was not expecting Accent to offer me $10,000. But $575?!?!?! You done lost your mind. I will, of course, be going to my jeweler. Claudia Barr would be so ashamed of you, Accent Jewelers. Tsk, tsk.

She said if any price tags were missing g that she would not sell the item. She kept yelling and carrying on about not letting anyone else into the room. It was appalling behavior and made me not want to purchase anything. The person taking the money has a scowl on her face and was very rude. I am sure the owners of this beautiful home would not have hired them if they knew this. Shameful.

I popped in and asked to have the battery replaced. $12 and 5 minutes later I was set. Tony, the proprietor, is knowledgeable, expedient, and fair. He diagnosed another watch just by my description of it and quoted a rate to repair for less than anything else I've heard of in the past few months. Whatever your needs, I can't recommend him enough. And yes, it does smell like an old cigar shop (probably because it was an old cigar shop). Does this in anyway speak to the value, professionalism, or quality of it being a jewelry store and watch repair shop? No. Credit where merit earns it. Merit well deserved, at least in my opinion.

Sure- But if you…read morehave a vintage actual CLOCK, I'd recommend you go elsewhere- Here's my experience: I have a Fashion clock from 1869 that has been in my family since its initial purchase- It was left to me explicitly by my Grandmother, who told me when I was a child a bit morbidly that she was going to "be in the clock" for me after she died- It has kept time for my whole 53 years with no issues, other than the clapper on the bell losing some of its strength- A couple months ago, it would stop working after 5-10 minutes of being started/wound- I contacted Memphis Mean Time and was assured it was definitely in their wheelhouse to repair- Just driving it there gave me a bit of anxiety because it had not left my possesion EVER- I dropped it off and was explained that the bench fee just for diagnosing it was 50$ and repair could easily run over 500$- As this was a family piece of more sentimental value than ANYthing in my possesion, including my house, of course I agreed to the terms, which were confirmed multiple times upon me (I guess I should have dressed nicer)- So, after a week or so, I get a voicemail informing me that the clock is "not fixable" and I could come pick it up- Hearing it was "not fixable" was extremely distressing, as it had worked non-stop for my family since the Civil War- So I went to pick it up, and a different gentleman was behind the counter- He told me his tech was out on a job and was unaware of my work order, and I could "look around" for my clock- It was on the floor behind me on its back with its middle spire missing- He gave me a blank look when asked about the spire, so I wrote a note to the tech about said missing spire and left with my clock- As I drove home I noticed the second hand post was touching the clock face and wondered if that could be causing the malfunction- I got home, adjusted the face so it wasn't up against the post, and the clock started working again, and has solidly for the past 3 weeks- So it was NOT "unfixable"- I didn't get a call back about my missing spire so I sent a text to the tech- After sending photos of me in the with the clock en route to their shop with a red arrow to the spire, he told me he'd look for it- No contact back, so the next day, I contacted him and was sent a picture of a brass spire that of course wasn't mine and was nothing like my clock's missing piece- So, after a week of back and forth communications, always initialized by me, Im without the center spire on my clock- Despite multiple family moves over the past century and a half, this clock has remained intact and working- Until I took it to Memphis Mean Time, handed them 50$, and was told it was "not fixable"- So if you have a watch needing a battery, go for it- Otherwise, I'd recommend you look elsewhere until these guys get their act together

I took a diamond tennis bracelet (that I just inherited from grandmother) in to get some links taken out. I had the 5 diamonds from the links mounted on a cross for my daughter. I went to pick up everything and they didn't give me my gold links from the bracelet. When I asked about the links, the guy went to back and came back with a bag of misc. gold pieces in a bag?! I asked where were my gold links (incase I ever needed them put back in) and he said "oh I probably melted them down". What...who does that?! And, without asking me??!!! I told him I didn't want the bag of misc gold pieces so he offered to take a whopping $25 off my bill!! I could not and still can not believe someone would do something like this. And, act as if it was the norm at their store to melt the gold down and not return it to the owner. But mainly upsetting because they took the liniks to my bracelet that was given to me by grandmother in her willl just broke my heart! I will never return nor will I ever recommend anyone go there! In fact, I tell this story to everyone I know because I don't won't it to happen to them.
