This went on for 8 months saying they e Would fix it and reimburse me for expenses. (Rental, storage, etc) they backed out. They said they used a torque wrench and dont to tighten oil bolts. It fell out when in Fargo, January 3rd. They said they would pay to have it fixed and reimburse for a rental car. They backed out leaving me with the cost of storage, vehicle cost of engine being swaped. Stuck in a hotel, etc. They took responsibility. Had phone call recorded and had to take them to court to prove it. On the recording manager said he would have my car fixed. After recording played he said he mever said that, after listening to himself. Judge looked at him like he couldnt believe he said that. They lied to me a lot and put me through so much stress. They should of been thankful it wasnt on the highway as the storm prevented anyone from going on the roads. Lies from the shop, to court. On the phone they even admitted they would of tightned it to 13lbs max. Should be tightned at 29lbs for my car. (Not even halfway tight) The one on main kepty keys before and wouldnt give me my car unless I bought tires so had to get the police involved. All NW tires have caused me problems. 2 of my neighbors also had lose oil bolts but caught it before damage could be done from NW express oil changes.

I told them what it was doing and what I thought to be alternator light was on. Prior to this I had the night before unhooked my battery for the night when at hotel so it took any light on dash off and reset it so anyway when I got it towed I told the owner that picked me up what was wrong and what I had done that night with my battery anyway he wasn't very talkative actually seemed quit grumpy he said his boy could look at it see what was the problem. So as I waited in the lobby they never came out and told me what was wrong nothing so I waited 45 mins , now mind u I was desperate I did not plan on staying in hotel that night didn't have clean clothes no shower no pills ect so was a horrible morning anyway well 45 mins and my car was done still no one came and told me what was problem I saw the mechanic come out a few times another guy called me to the cash register to pay and my bill was 778.00 I asked what problem was and he said it was my alternator which I had just had checked a week prior to this from local mechanic at home. That's why sorry but being a woman that doesn't know much about cars thought that was problem and that was the light that was on. My mechanic at home said my alternator was fine before this and had a new battery put in he said my alternator was putting out the right amount of charge anyway they said it was that so with labor , tow , and parts and supposedly a diagnostic test this was amount of bill 778.00 I couldn't believe how much it was I used my Dads credit card paid for it , I got down the road after 40 mins of driving and car did same thing almost stalled on me I pull over to side of road called them they told me to go back a few miles to Ellendale and have them look at it that the alternator was on warranty so I did and when they hooked it up to diagnostic tester it said I had a bad sensor so all along that was the problem they didn't have the part to fix it till next day I didn't want to spend another day in hotel so he reset the sensir so I could at least make it home or to Aberdeen anyway. Well long story short I ended up getting what was really wrong with it fixed back home which costed me another 200.00 and two weeks later was in Jamestown again and revisited them to tell them it wasn't my alternator and what had happened the mechanic came out directly to talk to me didn't even look me in the eyes and said he tested it and ran it for awhile and alternator light came on which was total lie because it was my engine light that was on from begining. And they over charged me on labor I was only there 45 mins and was charged for almost two hours labor plus 175.00 for so called dianostic check which no way they could of done cause no light would of been on because I reset battery the night before. they were rude when I went back and questioned them and flat out lied about what was wrong. I believe what it all came down to was they saw a "woman" who was desperate to get home and just took my word that I thought it was the alternator and put a new one in and charged me a ongodly amount. I would never take my car there again to be fixed. They should be ashamed at what they did to me I believe they took advantage of my situation and it ended up costing me just about a 1000 dollar to fix a 50 dollar sensor that was right in front of motor that would of taken mayb 30 mins to fix shame on you!! Not only did Stacy check it out and fix it right away for us to get us quickly back onto the road, he even sent us with a spare fuse and instructions on how to replace it, should it happen again. Paid $400 to get it towed to Wilhelm's and then I'm told it is $600 repair for a shifting collar. Fast forward 3 weeks and I'm told that isn't what is wrong (mind you they charge $100 just to diagnose the problem!). I find out a few days later it's the valve body that needs to be replaced. A $2500 service between parts and labor. At this point I've been without a reliable vehicle for a month as a single mom to a 5 month old baby. I asked Rod Wanamaker to let me know when the part comes in and when it will be getting into the shop. Three weeks go by and not a word. It's couple weeks before Christmas, and I reach out again asking for an update and Rod tells me that it should be done on 12/29 and informs me they will take $400 off of the service. It's enough to cover the tow that I had done 6 weeks prior. I don't hear anything on 12/29 so I send Rod a message with no response. I call 12/30 to find out the vehicle still hasn't been started, and he couldn't give me a date to when it will be. Finally I call and talk to the sales manager, Rod Wilhelm. Rod gets me a loaner vehicle after having no dependable car for the entire months of November and December. Rod also stated that they will take more than $400 off with the issues I went through from the service department and the length of time. It's now January 15th (75 days since my original appointment for this issue) and my vehicle is finally finished. I request the receipt of labor and parts be emailed to me 3 different times between Rod Wanamaker and Mike Martell and never received it and was completely ignored. I spoke with Rod Wilhelm, and he informed me that $400 is all that they will take off of the service. I have never had worse experience with any other dealership. If you want to buy a vehicle from a dealership that backs their sales, go to Stoudt's!

They came with a wrecker, got us settled in their warm vehicle and towed us to their shop. My husband was coaching a chorus in Bismarck on Friday evening and all day Saturday, and we would be coming back through on Sunday. J&L assessed the problem and said they would have it fixed and ready for us on Sunday when we came back through, and they did! They went above and beyond to take care of us and get us back on the road in the frigid cold weather. just now NEW Great…read moreservice. Our 5th wheel had a bearing go bad and Josh was recommended to us. We called him and he came out 12 miles on the interstate East of Jamestown. of course our axle was nowhere in stock on Earth. He got a very rare spindle and repaired the axle and got us on our way in a few days. very nice guy and very competent.
