What an experience. One random Thursday we decided to go and try this place out considering all the…read morehype and the vibe was less than impressive. To start when we walked up to the restaurant, there was a pretty lady wearing a club style red dress on the phone and didn't even bat an eye when we walked in, so we didn't think she was the hostess. When we walked into the actual restaurant, it looked cool however considering the owner is Alex de Gente de Zona, the music sounded like someone turned on 101.5 Lite FM. It took about a minute for the hostess to walk in and greet us (the lady in the red dress) and take us to the table. As we perused the menu, I got excited by the selections. The server Ashley (I think that was her name) was great. Extremely personable and loved her candor about our selections and making sure we ordered enough food. However she informed us that a few of the plates we were most excited for, were no longer available and they were redoing the menu. At the end of the night the food was mediocre for the price. I'm giving it 3 stars because I might consider having drinks there but may never go back for dinner. The music started changing slightly as we were paying our bill. could have been the night? Don't know but that doesn't excuse the food not being worth the price.

From the decor - crushed velvet OG To the service - very attentive - see Luisa. She is a great mixologist. Really First Class cocktails - all delicious. Try the Snowbird. Also had the Pablo Escobar -"plato o plomo" I hesitate leaving reviews of the coolest places. It was really disappointing and distasteful to see this post…read more I'm one of the regulars at karaoke night at 9 Feet Under, and I can honestly say karaoke has always been about bringing people together. My own birthday was celebrated there on karaoke night, and it was one of the most amazing and unforgettable nights. We also celebrated my niece's graduation on karaoke night, and it was another incredible evening filled with friends, family, laughter, and great memories. Seeing an employee post something so negative about an event that so many of us genuinely enjoy is disappointing. From the outside looking in, it seems like there's been a big shift in whoever is running these events. I recently attended both karaoke night and ladies' night, and the atmosphere was completely different from what many of us have come to love. FYI, karaoke night *brings people together*. I can't think of a single time we've gone and not had a great night. That's why this post doesn't reflect what 9 Feet Under has always represented to so many of us. If you work there and karaoke night is that terrible *for you*, maybe it's worth asking yourself why that is. Or perhaps this isn't the right environment for you. But please don't portray an event that has created so many positive memories for so many people as something negative, because that's simply not the experience the rest of us have had. Now you've lost customers!!

While the decor was nice, the lights were flickering on and off the whole time we were there. It had to be a wiring issue but it was definitely obnoxious. The staff was very nice, but SLOW! We got to the nearly empty restaurant and were sat quickly, however, with informing that we were still expecting two more were left completely unattended. Instead of placing drink and appetizer orders, we had to wait until the other two arrived which ended up being over half an hour. I could've used a drink or two or three. Once everyone was there, we had to flag down servers just to get a little attention. The drinks took a bit to come out and the appetizers took so long we scrambled to put food orders in the second we got the apps. The food itself was great. I have no complaints on the food as it tasted good. I'm not usually a chimichurri eater but I LOVED this one. Portions were good and the pricing wasn't bad. I just feel like with so much competition for restaurants in Miami, they need to step up their game. With El Centro Americano in the same shopping center and El Madroño across the street, this restaurant will never survive if left as is.
