Instead of saying something kind like "I'll be right back I need to grab a manager" she looked right at her and took off. I tell my husband "wow! She looked right at her and took off still. Some of these workers are so rude!" Because something similar happened to me in electronics the other day. So this Janne looks at me and says "she went to grab my manager!" As if I was even talking to her. I said, "the lady literally looked at her and walked away..." she repeated herself as if I'm deaf. I said she could have told her she'd be right back but she looked her in the face and ignored her. She looked at me like she wanted to fight me and said "I'm not going to argue with you!" I said huh? You run into displays of soda and chips as you walk in the door. You often have to go through all the processed foods before reaching the produce. Second, the plastic bags are overkill!!! I usually bring my own bags (wish more people did). They find every excuse to take something in its own plastic package and then wrap it up in plastic bags before placing in reusable bags. This drives me crazy! I usually offer higher tips if no plastic bags are used. I know the baggers wages are the tips and they depend on them. Wish the person who trains the baggers would ease up on the plastic bags.

The owner treated us like family and made sure we had enough rice with our entrees. The market may be small but it reminds me of home. The food takes me back to my grandma's cooking, and the times i would spend with family eating at other filipino restaurants. The flavors are very unique and you can tell how much effort and care the owner puts into her food! She's often with family and friends, as I would if my family and friends were with me.
