Now, Fountain can celebrate a hidden gem of their very own with Sliced Bagels & More! My husband and I love breakfast so we decided to hunt a new adventure today. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tucked into the square of Fountain is this space, it is a historic building from 1926 and they kept the theme going with a clean rustic decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They bring in bagels from New York so the bagel itself gives you the authenticity of a chewy, delicious, well made bagel but they make their own fresh cream cheeses, sandwiches and drinks to go along with their bagels. The team behind the counter was super busy but didn't allow that to stop them from greeting everyone who came in. We were served quickly and the team was so friendly. We chose the Plain Blane, a jalapeño bagel with elote cream cheese, and a jalapeño bagel with bacon cheddar cream cheese. I have to admit, as an absolute maniac for elote, I was skeptical. I mean, elote is something magic-the pop of the lime, the crunch of the corn, the creaminess of the queso fresco and the slight heat from the red pepper paired with the creaminess of the mayo, in a cream cheese?! Could they do it? YES! They did! This cream cheese was absolutely everything that a perfect elote should be but on a chewy, crunchy, deliciously made bagel! The plain Blane is a buttered egg bagel piled high with bacon, fried egg and cheddar. We decided on this one to allow for us to taste the bagel itself without the added flavor of cream cheese. The cheese was melty, the bacon was plenty and this was another home run for us. The last but not least was the bacon cheddar cream cheese which we absolutely loved. So very disappointed in my experience today. I used to come here often to eat the gluten free bagels. They'd use a deviated toaster for the gluten free and were conscious of cross contamination. Today my son who was recently told to go gluten free went to order and when asked about the toaster it was very quickly said nope we use the same toaster. When Is aid it was an allergy so I didn't want the cross contamination it was very quickly dismissed as a problem. The food is great, the service friendly. I only ever get the lox sandwich, and it's better than other bagel shops' versions. It's full of smoked salmon, cream cheese, avocado, and capers. They have a decent amount of drinks, but possibly need more low-sugar options besides water. Unsweetened tea? Also, more hot coffee options to warm you up on a cold day. read more

The owners are always present and active and not only conversation but getting the orders together. It's always fresh the egg bagel with strawberry cream cheese absolutely a must any of their homemade cream cheese is actually a must make it a note to try all of the sandwiches and homemade cream cheeses. They offer two different monthly sandwiches that in a way represent that specific state. This is definitely a must try if you haven't. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When you walk in you order, they have basic seating off to the side and then they have when you first walk in to the left a little room that you can have a meeting and/or family get together in there. It's not huge, but it's a little quaint area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Recently they opened another bagel place not too far from this one, but that is just one of your basic CORPORATE Restaurants. Place looks great, nice vibe and spacious.. I am trying to be patient with the fact they've been closed a couple times now due to not having enough inventory... but today we finally went in.. First they don't have any meat free options for breakfast, no big deal I can have them take the meat off.. but I was still charged 10.50 for a super thin piece of egg and jelly and cream cheese on a plain bagel. Even with the bacon that wouldn't have been worth the price unless the bacon was piled high. The guy in there who's probably the owner was very friendly.. the lady who may also be an owner didn't make eye contact with anyone or greet anyone.. the young lady working the register was nice as well. No meat, you should discount or at least offer more of something else.. and the thin egg is just not ok. The bagel, cream cheese and jelly were all very good. I'm writing this in hopes the owners see it and take the advice and address the issues.. I will eventually try them again and will absolutely change my review if that has happened read more

We were so excited to finally have a local spot super close to our house. Food is kind of low quality at a high price. But the main reason we are leaving this review is for the fact that they have a bagel called "the cleaning lady" with chorizo & salsa.... that is super racist & we were shocked to see that on the menu.
