Went on a Tuesday night for some good food and drinks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm told this place gets live and also has a dj. This night was a more chill vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Servers were nice and gave great suggestions because it was my first time there. Ended up with blackened Alfredo pasta. My friend got the snow crab legs. My pasta was actually really good. I was slightly surprised lol. The chicken was seasoned well. They definitely didn't skimp on the sauce either!

I have no idea why this spot is scoring so low!!! Loafers is an amazing seafood spot. There is ample parking, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambiance is comfy[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], the staff was friendly and attentive. The prices are fair , the food is quality and the quantities are fulfilling. I enjoyed the seafood quesadilla and their wings!!! The drinks were made to perfection. I cannot wait to come back here.

    Best bartender!

I visit here often because the food is really good with large portions. Brey is an amazing bar beauty, great energy and fast service. Zero complaints when it comes to her drinks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fridays would be the busiest and crowded but I still find seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music is always nice if you like R&B and hip hop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Been going to loafers for years It was better before the fire but they are finally fixing it. I like that they added outdoor patio this summer. My job had a holiday event and booked the bar closes to the door. The food was amazing that pasta wow it was so flavorful . the glazed salmon was good but the taste was flat. It needed some more twang.

Went here last night. I forgot that it was the night of the Tank Davis fight so there was a $20 cover charge to get in. 3 out of our party of four were here so, they kindly seated us. We ordered drinks and then food. It took some time for them to come out because it was pretty busy. Our server was friendly. I enjoyed my drinks and my appetizer sampler shown in my photos. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a nice mature crowd.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everyone was able to enjoy the fight while being able to eat and drink.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would like to return and try other food and drinks that they offer. Overall it was a nice night out.

This wasn't the first visit, but the first in a long time. As usual, my sidekick - husband was with me and we opted for this joint. Entering, only 1/2 of the place was open to guests as the other area that has a larger bar was closed. likely opening for the dinner/true Happy Hour crowd. We were offered the regular menu and the lunch menu. Lunch specials were of interest, but I was enamored with the crab pretzel, asking if what the menu stated was accurate before ordering. The bartender/waitress stated it had lump crab and cheese, however, upon receipt, it was more cheese than crab for $19. I didn't complain because it was still tasty - but I'm not sure $19 tasty. I ordered my usual cocktail - Appletini with cherries and before leaving, I had a second! The jumbo fried shrimp was well seasoned and fried a little hard, but it was delicious and edible. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was clean and well kept[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and [[HIGHLIGHT]]as with prior visits, I'll be back because it's usually a great vibe and time!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Been wanting to visit this restaurant for some time so decided to go there today. It's a seafood sport bar kind of place. So in addition to seafood they had typical sport bar food like burgers etc. I was hoping to order some fresh blue crabs that they offer year-round. But at $50 for just 6 "large" crabs, $90/dozen, it was simply too high to justify, as much as I like blue crabs. So I ordered fish and chips, which was more reasonably priced for my wallet. The service is friendly and courteous but very slow. When I was finally seated, my server handed me a menu and a glass of water but she never asked if I wanted to order anything else to drink. The fish and chips arrived, but then I had to wait 5 minutes in order to flag my server for a fork and tarter sauce. Food wise, the fish was good, no great, cut into fish sticks which are ok if I wanted to eat with my fingers or for dipping. The fries were good, natural, not coated fries. The cole slaw was very good, freshly made, crisp with just a hint of sweetness. Bottom line for me, the food was ok, not great, some items were out of my price range, service was friendly but not very good. The majority of the seating is high, bar height metal stools that, for me, was very uncomfortable after a while. Oh, and they automatically added 18% tip to your bill. I don't see any compelling reason to return.

1st time and definitely not my last time visiting this establishment. Hubby and I decided to stop here after a stressful evening of furniture shopping. I've been wanting to visit for awhile as I've heard great things about this place from hubby and gf's who have visited for game days, crabs and hh's. Parking lot was a fair size. Indoor bar areas were spacious and clean. There are 2 spacious bar areas. Very accommodating. Hot tops galore, options galore. Plenty of flat screen tv's to catch sports and viewable from any seat in the place. We were immediately greeted by Jason who was very pleasant. We ordered, he delivered. We ordered the Loafer's Peach Tea, Chicken Baltimore and Cajun Salmon. The food came out picture perfect and hot. Everything was so plentiful and good. The flavoring used on everything was everything. I'll be back for crabs sooner than later. I inquired about the MP for Large Male Crabs and they were $94/ Dozen. That's a darn great price these days. Job Well Done Loafer's!! You def live up to your hype !!

Came for a quick bite, right before happy hour with a friend of mine . The place had just opened up and was completely empty . Music was very low. We sat at the bar . The bartender /server was very stand-offish . Not only did he have ear pods in his here , but he failed to check on us throughout our stay . I ordered the fish and chips which was pretty good . The drinks we had were definitely on point .

*Updated Review!! And they're back! Not sure when they re-opened but I'm glad they are! The place looks brighter and fresh! Was here last Friday for happy hour. The drinks are still strong, the prices are still good. $6 drinks and in a big glass! I'll take two. Seriously, two drink max here! The food is ok. Service was good! I wish they had outdoor seating. I had a good time and I'll be back!

They only have chicken wings , 10 for $16 Not even offered on menu but I asked for half order. Tiny baby wings 5 for $8

Arrived a little bit after 11 on a Friday night. One of the only restaurants still open at this time. No cover. Got a table with no wait. Our waitresses' personality was great but we didn't see her for longgg periods of time. Perhaps they are short staffed but we were nearly falling asleep waiting for basic things (blue cheese, utensils, and even my friends food that was never ordered) My friend ordered a Shrimp Imperial along with her appetizer. We waited over half hour for it and when we finally got the waitresses attention she said "oh shit" and then only asked my friend what sides she wanted. So clearly, she never put her order in. Another 35+ mins go by and we just wanted everything to go They have chicken wings that are not advertised on the menu because of a misspelling or something. Anyway, they are 10 wings for $16. I wasn't hungry but wanted wings so she said I could do 5 for $8. Those wings were TINY AF and the celery and carrots were hot. sigh. They automatically add in 18% gratuity to bills so know this before hand! We only found out after I sent the receipt to my phone. Even with the slowwwwwwwwwwwwww ass service we tipped, but had I of known it was automatic I would not have.

This is a familiar place that updates the look and menu now and then, yet still feels like home. We often get a beet salad when it's available. Matthew's is scrumptious, with tender sweet juicy roasted beets, tasty grilled chicken, red onion slices and fresh spinach, tangy crumbled bleu cheese, and delightful candied walnuts, complimented by tart raspberry vinaigrette. By the way, it's gluten-free. We loved the rich cream of crab soup du jour, full of crab lumps and full of flavor, with a little spice from good old Old Bay. Delicious and dreamy. Their quesadillas were served a la carte as an appetizer, loaded with savory roasted chicken, heavy with a mild cheese and a lightly spicy flavorful thick red sauce, rolled in tender lightly seared flour tortillas. Generous and satisfying. Matthew's building dates from around 1862 as a station and hotel at the end of a horse-car line, before electricity! It's been through around 5 names over the years, and has been the Parsons family's Matthew's 1600 since 2004. We've felt comfortable and welcomed here for decades. It has plenty of free parking in their own lot. By the way, many of their already reasonable prices are discounted a little if you pay cash. That's a endearing way of keeping it real in Catonsville, only charging when it costs them.

Shrimp were good no wow factor, wings were good just plain but would have been better if they had a sauce and the burnt ends had more of a smoked bbq flavor which was different than usual but very tender and tasty. It was served with mixed vegetables and coleslaw. Veggies were ok and seasoned and coleslaw was to be desired. Not burnt ends is an entree on the menu. For entrees: crispy chicken sandwich with fries and chicken Mishkaki. Can I say, wow the portion required stretch pants! The sandwich; meat to bun is 20% more chicken than bread. It was seasoned and fried to perfection. The fries are in house cut and seasoned well too. The chicken Mishkaki is dish never tried before but reminds you of Nazan Halal's chicken with more of a rich tomato stew flavor with peppers, onions. It was about 8 to 10 skinless thin thighs seasoned and fork tenderness served in its own plate, then another plate with rice and the fixings. I almost didn't though, once you dig past social media, you'll see a mix of good and bad reviews, and for a split second that gave me pause. Glad I ignored that feeling. We came on a Saturday around noon for lunch with the family. Addy's sits on the edge of a larger shopping center, nothing flashy, but easy enough to find. When you walk in, the counter is right there and the dining area is pretty small, maybe 8-10 tables total. We were greeted right away by the woman at the register, let her know we were dining in, and she handed us menus to take to our table. I had seen reviews mentioning clutter or stacked plates inside, but that wasn't the case at all during our visit. Everything was clean and in order. They had some jazz playing over the speakers, which gave the place a chill, quiet-to-moderate vibe. Lighting was average, not dim, not bright. Seating is a mix of booths and tables with chairs. I started in a chair, then slid over to the booth side of the table for more leg room. I was never uncomfortable either way. There was one person waiting on food when we arrived. We ordered at the counter and had our food in about 8 minutes, which felt quick. The same woman who took our order also brought the food out, smiled, and checked on us after. No complaints at all on service. It wasn't busy while we were there, but on our way out there was a line of about six people, so it clearly picked up. What we ordered: * Brisket Quesadilla - Shredded brisket with melted cheese in a tortilla, served with sour cream and salsa. The brisket was tender, well-seasoned, and had a light smokiness that came through nicely. * Beef Ribs - Fall-off-the-bone, smoky, saucy beef ribs with fries and cornbread. The cornbread came drizzled with honey, which honestly threw me off at first. I was like, this is either about to be really bad or really good, and it was definitely the latter. Almost cake-like, moist, and flavorful. I usually skip cornbread at BBQ spots, but this one hit. I can see how someone might feel the rib portion is a little light for the price, but not enough to stop me from ordering it again. * Mixed Mishkaki (Beef & Shrimp) - This might've been the standout. East African-style kebabs in a sweet and spicy marinade, served with rice and salad. The beef was insanely tender, I could've cut it with a cheap plastic fork. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and full of flavor, mixed with peppers and onions. It came out sizzling on a hot plate, fajita-style, which surprised us in the best way. Best bang for your buck for sure. This plate could feed two regular people... or one big back. I'm big back...lol * Cajun Chicken Tenders - I usually expect cajun to be dry-rubbed, but these were saucy, and still really good. Definitely coming back to try other flavors. Price-wise, meals range roughly from $9.99 to $24.99, and overall I thought the value was solid for what you get. Maybe some room for debate on the beef ribs, but everything else made up for it easily. Honestly, there wasn't anything on the menu I didn't want to try, and I don't even feel like I've found my go-to item yet, which is a good problem to have. As for the negative reviews I saw beforehand? I don't know. Maybe wrong day, wrong time, or they caught the place during a rough moment. Our experience was smooth, the food was fire, and the restaurant was well kept. Out of a few spots I've tried because of social media hype, this one was probably the most accurate to the hype. It made a big impression on both my wife and me. I live about 40 minutes away, and I'll definitely be back to dine-in or takeout, though I'd probably dine in so the food's hot. Great spot for a lunch date or grabbing takeout. If you've been on the fence like I was, go check it out.

Let me start with the wings because... wow. I've been on a mission to find a honey lemon pepper wing that actually has flavor, and these finally hit the mark. Sweet, tangy, peppery, and bold -- not that faint "maybe there's lemon in here" situation most places give. These had real personality. The smash burger was another surprise. I don't eat cheese, so I was a little intimidated ordering a smash burger without it, but no cheese, no problem. The meat itself tasted different -- richer, cleaner, and higher quality than your typical burger spot. The edges had that perfect crispy smash, and the inside stayed juicy. When the meat is that good, you don't need anything extra. Service was quick, ambiance was fitting and the food came out hot, and everything looked good enough that I had to grab pics before diving in. This spot is definitely going into my rotation.

We started with Potato Cakes with crème fraiche, they had a nice crunch, a tender interior with subtle flavor. I'd never had them with crème fraiche, it was a nice change and the mild tanginess with the creamy texture complimented the Cakes well. I ordered the Main Street with Weisswurst, a Pretzel and plain Spätzle. It was my first, the veal's flavor is understated in comparison to Bratwurst or Knackwurst (not on the menu) and was a pleasant changeup. The Pretzel was little disappointing while it was a decent pretzel, it lacked the crisp crust and distinctive flavor I expected. As evident by the rating while worthy of note, it's not a game changer. I'd ordered a large plain Spätzle, which was two regular portions, but was served Spätzle with cheese I tasted it and it wasn't my thing, which is not to say it was bad, I just don't care for cheese in dishes like that. Our server swapped one cheese for plain (my wife had happily stolen the other) and enjoyed the replacement. I found that the grilled onions gave it a nice homey flavor. Mistakes happen and it turned out to be a win in the end. We shared a couple of desserts and by far, my favorite was the Black Forest Cupcake. It's on the large side, they might be able to cut on the weighty crème icing, the chocolate cake and soaked cherries were a delight. The cherries are a significant improvement over the Marchinos I had before, if only there were more.
