I am writing to provide feedback regarding my recent experience at Boom Boom Crab located on National Pike, Baltimore on November 30, 2025, between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. Upon entering the establishment to pick up my order, I waited several minutes without being greeted by any staff members. I noticed two waitresses at the back of the restaurant engaged with their cell phones, which contributed to the delay. Eventually, a young African American female staff member came from the back with my order and placed it next to me without any verbal acknowledgment. When I sought clarification regarding my order, she did not respond or engage with my question. Instead, her gestures suggested that I should leave without further discussion. This lack of customer service and communication is concerning, particularly for disabled war veterans. Based on this experience, I am unlikely to return or recommend this location to others. Very disappointed that my dungeness crab boil came with one cluster! It didn't even come with any potatoes or corn. I had to pay extra to get corn and broccoli add on not realizing it wouldn't even be an addition to the one corn and potato they usually give. If I could give zero stars, that would be the rating. Arrived in my party of 7, and wasn't greeted by a waiter at a table until about 10 minutes later. Finally someone comes around to our tables, takes our food and drink orders. This place does not cater to mature or older clientele and it shows. Loud music from a DJ at 7pm while I'm trying to eat is not my thing, but if it is, please indulge. The one soda we ordered, came with something swimming inside the cup. The wine I ordered, never came out. The bathroom smelled like sewage and had a trash can spilled over. Clearly, this place is not clean and I'm surprised it's still in business. About 30 minutes later, waiter comes back out and informs us our order hasn't gone in because of a computer system. No manager, no apologies, no sorry for the inconvenience. If this was me out by myself with my husband, I wouldn't be wasting . When we have grandparents and grandkids in tow, when it takes extra time to get out of the house, and you treat customers like this...no thanks. First and last time. read more

I live very close to Boom Boom Crab Seafood and literally drove past the restaurant everyday when I went out for my early morning coffee. I remember when me and my husband first saw the sign and instantly became super excited! We've been waiting months for give them a try, finally, we got our chance this past Friday. There was formerly an Advanced Auto in this location and the structure sat vacant for many years, I am glad someone finally decided to do something with the space! I was very surprised by the size of the venue, I definitely didn't expect for it to be so roomy. The owners really did an awesome job with the decor. The seats were very comfortable, the tables were large and there were literally TVs everywhere, so you didn't have to break your neck to watch what was playing. It was also very clean, which is a must during times of COVID. Our waiter, who was a nice gentleman from Jamaica, provided us with awesome customer service. He was very knowledgeable when it came to the menu. He offered us suggestions and explained any menu items we had a question about. We decided on the create your own seafood boil, while my husband enjoyed a rum punch and I had a side salad. The crab boil was the perfect size for the both of us. The boom! seasonings was very tasty and married all of the seafood, corn and potatoes together masterfully. All of the food was very fresh and cooked perfectly. The boil did get a little salty at the bottom, but literally every crab boil I've had ends that way. All and all, I had a really great experience! A breath of fresh air in what I like to call a good dessert. On 40, there's not many non-chain restaurants to partake in unless you're in the mood for Asian, so I was happy to find that Boom Boom Crab is black owned and offers excellent customer service and great food. I picked up a special that incl king crab legs, shrimp, sausage, and corn last night and not only was it extremely fresh but also very tasty and on point w the spice level I ordered (the Boom sauce was great). I noticed a poster for 1/2 price drinks all day this weekend, so I'm planning to go there w a friend on Saturday evening for dinner and drinks. Should be nice, per the other reviewers, the interior is noiice and clean. Like a said, a breath of post pandemic, masked up air! I'm a fan! read more

I'm so disappointed at the continued decline of Boom Boom Crab & Seafood. We haven't dined in since they started having DJ nights. It's impossible to have a relaxing meal when your eardrums are being blasted at what feels like full volume. We got carry out tonight - both of us ordered 1 lb of headless shrimp, with all corn, and no potatoes. Firstly, neither of us received 1 lb of shrimp; it looked like a regular 1/2 lb order we've receive with other combo boils. Also, "all corn" apparently means that they just remove the potatoes, and don't replace those with two more pieces of corn. I guess that I'll just need to start making my own boils again. Convenience, with less food, isn't worth the extra cost. read more

Saw this place on tick-toc and my friends and I decided to give it a try Saturday night . For a Saturday night , it wasn't busy at all . We were able to be seated without any wait . Our waiter Avion was great . He had a great personality with good recommendations. Even the music selection was good. HOWEVER the food not so much . My friend ordered the fried oysters ... she had to return it because it was luke warm and the presentation alone wasn't what she expected . I ordered a garlic butter snow grab boil . Do yourself a favor and don't order from this place. Against my better judgment I gave this place a 2nd try which I rarely ever do. With my first visit the quality and quantity of the seafood boil was decent but the seasoning was not good. All oil with no flavor. My most recent visit the seasoning was better but the quality and quantity of the food was terrible. The corn was hard, old, and inedible basically. I received about 4 or 5 mussels, 8 or 9 medium shrimp and 2 small snow crabs. The person at the register was so rude. Everything about this place was ick. This place is close to home and convenient for good crab boil and a drink. I'm not big on the food menu I won't order food I just go for the crab boil. They are delicious but I do feel cheated. Other places I go I feel like I get more crawfish and mussels for the lb. And half my mussels were just shells. The atmosphere and bartender are great which is why I go back. And like I said it's close to home. They don't make the best drinks but he does try and they are strong so again I go back lol. The food is all fried and frozen. When I say I've rode past this spot hundreds of times & never paid it any mind. My cousin was in there & called me on a Monday night pull up for drinks. It's in the shopping center with Planet Fitness so parking isn't an issue. When I say the surprise that's as in store for me. First let me start with Lesa she was out bartender/server & she was amazing. Constantly making sure we were good plus my favorite & the key too a great bartender/server is you don't have to tell/ask them twice. Plus she had a dope sense of humor & kept the jokes coming. The food was good as well lots of Happy Hour, plus daily deals to choose from. I elected to go with the shrimp & chicken tender box for $17. My food was served nice & hot rather quickly too before I could finish my shots of Don Julio Lesa was setting my food down. Only thing I will warn you they have a boom boom sauce that's spicy as hell. So unless you're one of the ones that love spicy stuff steer clear of it. read more

I came in for happy hour last Friday. $5 drinks, so of course I wanted to try. I loved the atmosphere. The decor is cute and the music was great! The hush puppies were the perfect consistency. When this place first opened I was so excited to have it so close. The food was good and not overpriced the service was ok but you get what you pay for. It was always easy to get a table rarely ever a wait. Lately we I have gone however the food has been inconsistent. Not sure if they have changed cooks or what might be going on but I've been a bit disappointment in the flavor not to mention I usually get the hot and I used to get the extra hot and could handle it just fine but now it's like all it is is spice. Really it's way too hot to even consume. I really hope things change back because my family loves going here. The drinks are good the food was good my youngest loves the decorations and it was always a good time. My husband found this spot after an incident at a similar restaurant in which I didn't care to return. I have to say that I'm glad he found Boom Boom Crab. The food was great and the service was service. I was most impressed with the portion size. We ordered popcorn shrimp as an appetizer and the basket was so full, he and I decided it would make a great entree the next time we stopped in. We also got hush puppies, which were good, and the fried seafood combo. My husband got tilapia, shrimp and calamari, and I got catfish, calamari and oysters. It was wonderful that there was just a bit of breading because it didn't take away from the actual seafood. Everything was fresh and came out hot as it should. We both got Cajun fries with our combos, but I was so stuffed from what we did eat, that I never even touched the fries. The atmosphere was also good. I hate that this place is located across the street from my home. Hate it! Only because it's hard to stay away . My family and I love seafood boils. We could probably eat them everyday honestly. This is our 4th time here in the last 2 months and they have exceeded expectations. My sons can not get enough of the mussels and buffalo wings. Whenever we're trying to decide what to cook for dinner they always seem to slide in the fact that Boom Boom is "just a 3 minute walk a way.". This time we opted for a large boil to feed us. We got 2 lbs of snow crab legs, 2 lbs of mussels, 1 lb of sausage, 1 lb of scallops and 1lb of shrimp, with the Boom special sauce. That special sauce is so flavorful and addictive. You find yourself dipping everything back into it just for a little more saturation. I'm going to have to get a boil for myself one day because they aren't fans of spice and I want to give the spicy boom sauce a try. We were all full and content afterward. Oh the drinks!!!! That bartender is awesome because those drinks were strong and my wife and I were a little tipsy walking home lol. If they keep it up we will continue to patronize them frequently. read more

No ketchup was provided, and no napkins. Just left here with a really close friend. The atmosphere was laid-back and fun, our waitresses name was Corey and she was so nice and pleasant to deal with. I purchased daily seafood boil with mild CajunSeasoning with a side of boom boom sauce.I also purchased fried pickles. For a drink I ordered a tequila sunrise and a shot of Tito's. I've sat at this restaurant at least 20 times and while the service isn't always great, the food has always been delicious. Tonight I ordered take out and they completely ripped me off. I ordered a lb of snow crab legs, which usually has 4 clusters and received 2 small clusters. $50 for 2 clusters of snow crab legs. I called to request to speak to the manager and he was extremely disrespectful and told me it always came with two clusters. I was told there was no refund policy and the refused to give me what I paid for. Do not waste your money at this dump. read more
