Amazing company! Dean Le and Ronnie Nguyen worked efficiently and helped me with my process!

We attempted a home refinance with Loan Factory and worked with Arton Chau as our loan officer and Ander David Herrera as our processor. Our refi did have some unique circumstances given I was on maternity leave at the time and I wanted to give some grace for that, but the issues we had went far beyond a complicated refi. Additionally, when we decided to go with another company, the process was so smooth that it proved the situation never should have been viewed as that complicated to begin with. The main issues were: 1) Information would be asked for, we would provide that information, nothing would happen, we would ask questions then they would share they needed information that we had already provided that was right there in the same email thread. 2) The information they claimed to need from my employer kept escalating. They asked for a letter verifying I was still employed despite being on leave, my employer provided it, nothing happened, we checked on progress and they said we needed more. They asked to speak with my manager to simply confirm my employment, they didn't contact her for over a week, then they asked HR type questions she couldn't possibly answer. Then they claimed they just needed HR to confirm verbally that they had issued the letter, then they finally talked to HR and asked a bunch more questions. It was bizarre and honestly, my employer was apologizing to me by the end of it while I was apologizing to them. 3) They didn't care about official loan deadlines, because it seemed to be their plan to keep asking for extensions. We initiated everything on 9/8 and as of 10/17, past the 30 day mark, they were still "gathering information." Working with the company we ended up going with, we started with them on 10/21 and everything was completely wrapped up by 11/14. 4) When working with other loan officers I've had experience with, they will do things periodically on weekends or in the evenings as necessary to hit deadlines. This team seemed to never work weekends and at one point Ander went MIA for over a week of the process and was supposedly on vacation with no back-up. This wouldn't be a big deal if it were a longer process, but over a week out of 30 days is pretty extreme. From what I can tell, these people just aren't that skilled. They clearly have a big company and Factory is an apt name for it as I think they just get as much business as they can get, turn and burn, and don't really care about the service they are providing. read more

Prefer ZERO STAR to this company. Erick Salmeron -loan officer is very rude , and unprofessional, he will argue or scold at and THREATEN client for no reason. He would even scold someone who wasn't his client. ALTHOUGH THE CLIENT DOES NOTHING WRONG! Erick Salmeron will still scold or being rude to the person. I would actually put this as no star, considering the outcome we encountered. Patty Portocarrero is her name!! SHE WAS EXTREMELY RUDE TO MY REALTOR AND THE BUYERS REALTOR, saying how she was annoyed with us advising that she would not return emails or phone calls, simply because she was annoyed!! I'm sorry but when you're in this seat you need to communicate regarding all aspects of the process and this is on a timeline!! We tried to email her and her email stated she was out until a certain timeframe. We emailed her other colleagues to ask for updates and " crickets"!! She and her team were very unprofessional, I can't imagine who else she treats like this!! I do not think this position is suitable for her as she did not help, we actually had to go with another lender of how ugly she was!! read more

Initially reached out to Loan Factory on yelp along with several other mortgage brokers to see who had the best rates. Their CEO Thuan Nguyen responded and his rate/offer was the most competitive. Decided to give him a call and let him know the situation we were in as we needed to make a rush switch and do everything possible to close in 2 weeks. Thuan assured me they could get it done and looped in his team. This was a very rush/urgent situation given the short timeline. Matt Hang was assigned as my loan officer handling my loan. He and the loan processor Sophie Pham worked diligently and professionally to get to the end goal of closing the loan. Although I probably wasn't the easiest client to work with given the urgency and my constant follow ups, Matt and Sophie remained professional and kept pressing forward to get this closed. We did have to extend two days past the expected close date, but there were several conditions to get through so this was still a solid success. My daughter's buyer used the Loan Factory and we had the worst experience possible. I have been in the industry and I know how loans should be processed. MATT HANG from the Loan Factory refused to allow a 10-day loan contingency to be removed for 25 days after the contract was signed. There were no issues with the loan, but the but the loan contingency was not removed until the loan was "cleared to close". Attempts to escalate this issue initially resulted in a few texts from Matt but he stopped being responsive. Calls to the office on Tully Road got nowhere, there was no escalation path. Calls to an East Coast office business rep indicated there was no problem with the loan and it shoudl have been approved. I have been involved in transactions with hundreds of lenders, this was BY FAR the worst experience ever. read more

Horrible experience with a broker named Patty Portocarrero who lacked communication skills. Instead of being well versed on how to handle situations she stopped answering emails and phone calls. She blew the buyers chance in being able to buy a home. When I called to make a complaint i was told i would get a call back and they never called back and this is why im writing a review. I have never worked with a lender who stopped answering emails and phone calls and left the buyer in the dark. Unprofessional and extremely unacceptable. This review is for Matt Hang, who was our loan officer who helped us with our first-time home purchase! I will happily refer anyone who is looking to buy their first home to him. Matt really went above and beyond in supporting us throughout the entire process. I think I've probably called him over 20 times, in addition to spontaneous emails - and every single time, Matt was very quick to respond and was very helpful in answering all of my questions. He made us feel secure through every step, taking the time to help educate us on the home buying process to make sure we fully understand what was going on. Additionally, our escrow company was impacted by a cybersecurity attack right before we were scheduled to close (you can imagine how stressed we were), and yet he was able to work some magic with our lender and title company and helped us find a way to still close and become homeowners! Worst experience ever. Loan processor messed up the file and I missed my closing date two times finally had to make my own arrangement for closing to avoid losing the earnest money. Stopped responding to my emails a day before closing. Poor coordination between loan officer and loan processor blaming each other for failure. Closing conditions were not communicated clearly leading to complete fallout at last minute. Also made me pay extra for appraisal because of their delays. Never trust this company for your mortgage needs. Never received an apology from them for making such blunders and causing unnecessary stress and inconvenience to me. read more

Please beware if your trying to do a multi unit property refinance. They don't know current guidelines. I had a loan that ran into issues and no one was able to successfully guide me to close on the refinance. The loan group in LA is one of the worse. Nam N. is a lead loan processor in LA. I was applied for rate 2.25/15 fixed then he called me to update my bank statement without an official to complete the loan and can get lower at rate 2.125 then now said that the rate lock at 2.25. This is unprofessional job and just want to get it done by "lied" to customer about the rate!!! Kept asking to lock at the higher rate!!! Same as Anh V. is a loan processor. She asked to have an official bank statement then later said no need to have official!!! Make sure don't ever work these two people, and who would want to work with Loanfactory in the future. Started my application with them and initially it was good. Received some calls and exchanged information. Eventually things slowed down to a halt. I was constantly emailing and calling to check up and the same problems and responses kept coming up. The people managing my case seemed to not really understand what was going on - perhaps inexperience. Over a month passed and my rate could not even be locked. I missed out on valuable opportunity costs of when the rates were much lower with low closing costs. Eventually I finally gave up on this company and chose to work with another. I was able to lock my rate and within 3 weeks, I am closing on my new refinance. Ngoc Ho saves the day again! I just refinanced with Loan Factory and Ngoc was incredibly helpful and unbelievably quick. I reached out to Ngoc on 6/12, locked in the rate on 6/15, and was signing with the Notary on 6/24! The loan funded on 6/29 and so this minimized my overpayment to the old lender. And I received an email from the new lender (Rocket Mortgage) on 7/2 to set my new account. So quick, easy, transparent, seamless, and a fantastic rate (2.125% for 15yr, no cost, and a nice credit as well!!). Ngoc was transparent with all communications (email and text), she helped facilitate all the documentation I needed to provide (using a secured google drive, docusign, etc), and she answered all my questions within the same day.
