I started treatment with Oakwood Dental on September 11 and was referred by them for a root canal, which I had completed on December 2. After the root canal, I was told to return to Oakwood to have a crown placed about a month later. My crown appointment was scheduled for January 3, but the office canceled it and told me they were still waiting for insurance authorization. I was rescheduled again for February 5 and that appointment was also canceled for the same reason. After waiting months believing my authorization was still pending, I later spoke directly with my insurance company and was told my crown had actually been approved on February 13. When my appointment was rescheduled again for March, Oakwood informed me they no longer accept my insurance and that I would have to pay full cash price to complete the crown. This left me in a very difficult position after months of delays and multiple canceled appointments. I am now forced to find a new dentist and restart the authorization process for a crown after already completing the root canal. I hope the office improves communication and insurance coordination so other patients do not experience the same situation.

Since I refused, I had to sign a waiver and make them take a camera shot of my mouth. I felt so uncomfortable. Finally, the hygienist came in and spent 7 mins. on my cleaning. I have a photo showing the 7 minutes of text to my husband from when the cleaning started and ended. Also, this place was not clean and I now remain with a sore in my mouth. DON'T GO HERE!!!!!

He provides an excellent treatment for various dental problems. Unlike other dentists I had over many years Dr. Tkachuk thinks out of the box and hence can solve problems that otherwise would have no solution at all. Example: I've had a problem with very painful sensitivity to sweet, sour, and cold due to high bone loss on teeth necks. While other dentist couldn't do anything about it and just recommended Sensodyne toothpaste, Dr. Tkachuk came up with an idea of putting small filling on each front tooth neck and that solved a 20y+ old problem! That was absolutely amazing! Olga Gorokhovskiy, the dental hygienist attending in the office, is also amazing. She provided the most painless deep dental cleansing (scaling) I ever had. Thank you! The office itself is exemplary! It's super-clean, neat, and most importantly the maximum wait time we had so far was 5 min! On almost all visits we get admitted exactly at the time of the appointment. This is unbelievable! Overall, we highly recommend Dr. Igor Tkachuk and his office as they provide an outstanding dental care experience! It's hands down the best of all offices we tried for the past 25y!

Left there very upset. Told me that all my teeth need to be removed. And the cost of a full implant is over$64,000 I found a wonderful sympathetic doctor who cares about their patients and not money. This new dentist recommended me to go back to my periodontist and now working with both doctors to save my teeth. I see some sites recommending this doctor with a 4.9 star not sure who those patients are.

Starting from the front desk Tati has a great attitude to help you out. Susan, the hygienist ohhh myyy so professional and detailed. Annette is a great dental assistant. And the doctor takes his time with you in order to give you the best treatment possible. In my case Dr Genco will try to fix what a theft that call herself a dentist and professional left in the middle because I refused to pay more than 5K. Anyway not worth it to talk about that. The office it's clean and comfortable. I'm not afraid to go to the dentist, but for people who is, in my opinion this will be the office to go because it's human!!! But from the moment we walked into Dr. Napolitano's office, everything felt different. He greeted my son with such warmth and patience, never rushing or pressuring him. He explained everything in a calm, reassuring way and really took the time to earn his trust. You could tell that every step was intentional, from the way the staff interacted with us to how the room was set up to make things feel more comfortable. By the end of the appointment, my son -- who usually can't wait to leave -- was smiling. Smiling! I honestly never thought I'd see that happen at a dental office. Dr. Napolitano and his team went above and beyond to turn something scary into something manageable, and even positive. Well only one older strawberry blonde with a lack of common sense and knowledge of privacy rights. I needed an emergency root canal and they took me in the same day. I am pleased with the work that was done in a timely manner. I am livid that my receipt is in the name of a person that shares the name of my husband but lives 93 miles away. I requested a receipt with my own name and was rebuffed by the front desk person. Unfortunately from the experience of dental work I did not notice the mistake until I went to my car. To defend herself the front desk person announced my husbands full social security number and name out loud. She repeatedly asked me if I ever lived at this far away address. Essentially my credit cards were run under my name but my statement does not remotely match my identity. In addition extra charges were added onto my invoice when I believed I had paid in full on November 16th 2024. I don't care about the cost. Happy with the care I received. I care that I don't have a proper receipt and they have another persons personal identification commingled with that of my husband and I. Go to this dentist in an emergency but by all means check your records carefully before you hand over your credit card. I have no idea if this person living at this far away address has committed identity theft or attempted to get care under my husband's name. Nor could the lady at the front desk understand why I was upset to have my records and bill mixed up with a complete stranger. On top of that she said I needed two more fillings when the dentist said nothing of the sort and that I only needed to return yearly for x-rays and cleaning. Does the stranger she has me mixed up with need two filings? It's all a big mystery. Again the dentist and assistant were great. No complaints about them at all. I'm waiting to see if they fix the error in their system and give me a proper receipt.

I said "oh no, I pay out of pocket after every visit and have been doing so for the last 10 years". The receptionist/office personnel insisted that I owed for services that I hadn't paid for. She said it was for a tooth extraction in February 2024. I said "WHAT??!! I never received a bill. ,have been coming to this office since 2010. The office clerk went to a file cabinet, took out what looked like a composition book and said, "Yes, right here, you didn't pay for the extraction." I said, "I pay my bill in full after every treatment." She said it was a billing error. They sent it to my insurance company and it wasn't paid, because I have preventive services only. I said I know that, that's why I pay out of pocket. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. The bill was $365! The office was full of people. It was highly embarrassing. I really felt humiliated, like I was being accused of theft. Rather than fighting with her further, I paid the bill. Which was never produced, even after paying it. I left there feeling like my pocket had been picked. It left a very bad taste in my mouth, and it wasn't from the cleaning. But rather feeling like I had been taken to the cleaners. BTW, the date was May 15, 2025. I don't know why it didn't show on the post before. I put it in.

I came back a week later about my tooth #12 (that was still bugging me because he didn't touch it the first visit), and he put me on penicillin and told me to come back in a week. I come back in a week and he asks "how is the tooth?", I then answered "It's perfect I feel fine", But however I am on medication, so what will we do about this tooth #12 once the medication wears off? He replied "Don't worry about it" I came in on December 2nd, 2022 for a fill in with Dr Flynn. While there i seen Dr.Beck and I mentioned to him that my tooth #12 was starting to hurt again. He passed me off and told me to just inform Dr. Flynn that my tooth #12 was still hurting. I then went downstairs to start my appointment with Dr. Flynn and I told him about my tooth #12. He was curious as to why Dr. Beck never even attempted to open up the festered tooth. Dr. Flynn then went to him and asked him some questions to clarify. Dr. Beck said that he gave me a referral for a Root canal on tooth #12 which is a COMPLETE LIE. When Dr. Flynn returned, he opened up the tooth and he even let me smell the decay that was building up in my tooth. It was a lot. Had this tooth been opened from before when I first came, the decay wouldn't have continued. Dr. Flynn only could start the root canal but couldn't finish. I called the office back because I no longer wanted to see Dr. Beck. AS I tried to change my appointment from him to any other doctor, the DA on the other line said "All of the dentists here are the same". I told her that they weren't and that I would like to see any other doctor. If I am expressing to you that I would rather see a different doctor, clearly it is for a reason. Why try and tell me that they are all the same and give me the impression that you just don't feel like doing your job? They finally set an appointment with Dr. B. I then started having horrible pains in the same tooth 12 a week later and went to the office to see Dr. B and to see if they were able to atleast finish the root canal for me being that I was in terrible pain. I let them know that if Dr.Beck had opened the tooth in the first place, that I wouldn't be in this predicament. I first showed up over a month ago to fix this tooth and it was to of no avail. They told me that another dentist from their Staten Island office would accommodate me in Brooklyn at her office. The next day I receive a call asking about my insurance and another call stating that in order to be seen I will have to pay out of pocket. I called Flynn Dental and let them know what was said, and they told me that "it is my responsibility to call Emblem health and get a list of endontist providers to go through. I told the DA, that I didn't have time to do that because I am so busy with school and I also let her know I was in pain and asked if she could help me. All she could mention was that it's my responsibility to get a list from 1199 and go through them on my own. I finally then was left with no option but to call Goldman and Levine endontics crying on the phone. I cried to them and I begged them to please take me any day and any time so that I would be relieved of pain. I feel as though leprechaun dental shut me out and left me to hang dry on my own. I feel like they atleast could've helped just a little more being that their OWN DENTIST put me in this predicament. Today I showed up for an appointment to get 2 fill ins and 2 posts added to my completed root canals. When I show up, that's when they decided to let me know that the provider took me off schedule and cancelled my appointment because I am not her regular patient. Is this how leprechaun Dental treats their other patients? WHY WOULDNT THEY CALL ME AND LET ME KNOW? IVE WASTED GAS, time and energy that I do not have anymore. I am still in pain right now and I am over the experience here. Dr Flynn is a great dentist himself, but he needs to do new hiring.
