Great stop off of the highway for lunch! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The views were picturesque while waiting in line.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The line snaked down the sidewalk on Labor Day, but moved quickly. After ordering, our food was bagged and ready to go in no time. The lobster roll was very meaty and buttery-- probably one of the best I had on my weekend trip through CT/RI/MA. The surprisingly tasty item was the sausage and peppers sandwich. For a place known for lobster, this sausage sandwich was very flavorful and loaded with peppers and

Nestled nearly 2 hours away from NYC in the quiet sleepy town of Clinton is probably the best lobster roll I've ever had. Does it get better if you keep venturing deep into New England territory? [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of parking, it's outdoor seating but there's a covering in case it rains, it sits close to the harbor if you like that sea air.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bathrooms are porta potties but they were super clean, had tissue and hand wash.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now to the nitty gritty! We shared a NE chowder that was to die for. I had the double and it was worth it, they weren't stingy with the meat, flavor and butter ratio was just right. Staff was friendly and expeditious, no complaints there. Would definitely stop again, perfect lunch break spot on the way to the city or further into New England.

Delicious lobster rolls! My friend took us here because this was her favorite place for lobster rolls. We ordered them to go this time but I'll have to enjoy them there next time. Lots of lobster meat and butter. We also ordered the lobster bisque with a few lobster chunks. It was also delicious but I wish there was more meat. We also had coleslaw but I thought they were ok.

We stopped at Lobster Landing for one of their famous lobster rolls, often voted among the best in Connecticut -- and it did not disappoint. The regular 4-ounce roll was $29 (coleslaw is extra), and it was fresh, buttery, and well worth it. It's a BYOB spot, so we brought a couple of beers along, which paired perfectly with the meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The setup is casual: you place your order at the shack, grab a seat, and wait for your name to be called. Seating options include picnic tables by the ordering area or tables overlooking the water -- both with a relaxed, seaside vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking was easy when we arrived, but as we left, spaces were filling up and people were waiting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The porta-potties were surprisingly clean (about as good as porta-potties get).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food-wise, everything was satisfying. My husband had the sausage with peppers and onions -- hearty, flavorful, and generous. The New England clam chowder was excellent: creamy, loaded with clams and potatoes, and even better once we added a little pepper and some oyster crackers. Overall, it was a classic New England seafood shack experience -- casual, delicious, and memorable.

Lobster roll, corn and lobster bisque

Lobster roll was decent. The roll wasnt really crisp or as buttery as I'd like. Lobster bisque was really nice. My disappointment was the corn on the cob. It was soggy and had no flavor. It should still be in season. I think it was over-boiled. The staff lady who rung us up was very friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful view and half seating is under a canopy, which is appreciated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

1/4lb lobster roll and clam chowder. Both were excellent!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Awesome little shack style restaurant in a super cute little town.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd actually consider doing a 2-3 night rental and take a little vaca here. The lobster was sweet and buttery. The clam chowder was not overly creamy or too thick. It was perfect! The staff was super friendly too!

This is hands down the best lobster roll I've ever had! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's an adorable little seafood shack in a marina and trust me when I say you will not regret going here![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend it and the clam chowder was fantastic as well! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a few picnic tables if you want to eat there on the water, or you can take it and go becuase it comes wrapped to go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Loved coming here after a day at the beach! It was so delicious and the service is great. We came around 5:30 on a Sunday evening near the end of August. There was hardly even a line and it was a gorgeous day. Cannot wait to return

All I have to say is delicious lobster roll and great customer service!! I would definitely recommend!

The sausage and peppers sandwich was very good and well priced. The lobster roll was tasty as well but it has a disproportionate amount of meat from the tips of the claws which I don't care for. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a bunch of outdoor tables set up in shade and sun to eat at.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We go to this wildly popular spot every year. It's the best of all the lobster places in my opinion, just ahead of the Lobster Pound in Guilford. Tender, buttery lobster in generous amounts on a special roll they get from VT in order to have one that tastes great and doesn't fall apart. Owner Enea Bacci is friendly, colorful and often on site. We've chatted with him a time or two. There's a great article about him here: http://tellnewengland.com/lobsterlanding.

The fried cod was some of the best I've ever had. Fish tacos were very good - love the red pepper remoulade it comes with. French fries and fried clam strips are both excellent - though I agree with another reviewer who mentioned that the clams could be a bit crispier. The two times we've gotten them, they needed just a touch more crunch and golden brown color. Still very good and the best around!!! But feels like they would benefit from a bit more time in the fryer. Glad you're back, Clam Castle!!

The service was quick, friendly, and attentive, and the restaurant had a casual atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to our expectations. The soft-shell crabs tasted good, but the portions were extremely disappointing. The crab itself was so small that it was dwarfed by the romaine lettuce and standard tomato slices on the sandwich. For a dish that's supposed to be the star of the meal, it felt underwhelming. We also ordered the whole belly clams. They were good, but not exceptional, especially considering the price. I personally prefer them a bit crispier, and the batter lacked that crunch. The portion size was average. Our bill for two soft-shell crab sandwiches, one order of fried whole belly clams, and two Diet Cokes came to about $80. I understand that dining out is expensive these days, but the value simply wasn't there for us--particularly when it came to the size of the soft-shell crabs. Overall, the service and atmosphere were positives, but based on the portion sizes and price, I'm not sure we'd return.

The lobster rolls were ok, they didn't have much flavor even with the butter, but we were served good sized chunks so that was nice. The lobster nachos were more impressive to look at than to eat because it was basically cold lobster, a corn salsa, and dry tortilla chips. There's nothing else served other than a spritz of lime so the dish is pretty dry on its own. I would probably come again because it's a pretty view and it's BYOB, maybe get the lobster rolls, but I'd definitely come back for the jumbo shrimp!
