The correct look of clear broth chowder

the clear broth chowder was gray it shouldn't be gray! it's as if they don't rinse the clams and you're eating dirt.. The picture I added is what it should look like...

Fried shrimp and fried scallops with French fries - the 2-way. Comes with Cole slaw.

Greatest fried seafood in Connecticut, hands down. I ordered the 2-way fried combo of shrimp and scallops, with fries and cole slaw and brought it home. 15 mins in a 350° oven and we're good to go. Great dinner for a beautiful Saturday evening

Casual seafood spot to grab a lobster roll. We both had hot butter rolls with slaw. Solid portion of sweet lobster but my bun split on the bottom after second bite. We also shared fried pickles with a tangy ranch dipping sauce. The server informed us we could grab a drink from the cooler in the car so BYOB. There's also a cute ice cream shop outside with a carousel for the kids. All around a pleasant dining experience on the way back to NY.

Lobster roll and piping hot fries

We came in on a late Friday afternoon just before 5:00 and it wasn't busy at all and we were seated right away. Our service all night was off the charts good - 6 stars out of 5, that good! Always checking in and bringing our food out hot. We started with 1/2 dozen oysters. 5 were really good and 1 was gross. Weird look abd texture. But it with a knife, tasted it and quickly spit it out. Not worth getting sick! I had shrimp and scallop casserole with crabmeat stuffing (extra charge for special stuffing). My wife had the lobster roll. Lobster was amazon fresh and cooked to perfection. Price was good. Closer to home we get these stuffed with more lobster but it was very good and nothing to be embarrassed about here! Fries were abundant and hot!!! We love our fries hot yet so many restaurants, even expensive ones, serve them cold or soggy. Not here! My shrimp & scallops were very good. The stuffing not so much. I paid extra so it wasn't just crumbled corn flakes but it was only a little better. Very dry and nothing much crab or "excitement " in the stuffing. I added drawn butter and it helped a little. Food was 3 - 3.5 and service 5 stars. 4 stars overall and worth a visit. Wish we trued the lobster bisque as it's a favorite. We liked the casual feel of the restaurant and family like atmosphere.

The service was wonderful and our waitress was pleasant the interior had a seafarer's theme. We started our meal with a nice warm homemade loaf of wheat bread. I started my meal with the Shrimp Cocktail which was 4 huge shrimp with cocktail sauce. The shrimp was served with the entire shell on not just the tail but the entire shrimp, which I thought was a lazy way to serve shrimp cocktail as most places remove the shell, except for on the tail. I had the baked stuffed sole, the fish was flaky and fresh but the stuffing was supposed to be ritz cracker crumbs with crab meat, instead it was greasy buttered seasoned bread crumbs, not a bit of crabmeat or even ritz crackers in sight. The fish was served with mixed vegetables and boiled potatoes. My boyfriend had a cheeseburger, as doesn't eat seafood. The burger was generous in size and juicy, cooked to perfection, not dried out.

The food is the freshest seafood around. They give you sizable portions. The shrimp roll is loaded with shrimp. The service at the bar is a guy who has been here for over 20 years- he remembers your name and is very jovial. I've been eating here for years.

Stopped in with my parents after shopping at the outlets. It was our first time here in 15 years and it didn't disappoint! I had the shrimp scampi with onion rings and mixed veggies. The scampi sauce was delicious, so buttery and flavorful and came with about 12 shrimp (I started eating before I took the photo). The onion rings are made daily in house and were crispy and greasy, some of the best I've ever had! Mixed veggies were bland. My dad had the salmon lunch special and loved it. Mom had the fried shrimp roll and enjoyed that too!

Very tasty. Clam chowder was loaded with potatoes, and tasted like ocean, mix between Rhode Island and New England chowder. Lobster bisque is smooth and creamy and the lobster roll is delicious. Clam strips weren't soggy, cooked to perfection! Cute carousel for anyone that wants to ride, proceeds are donated to charity!

Great service! Very friendly staff. Portions are enormous! Atmosphere was very casual. Kids friendly restaurant. Delicious seafood! Would recommend!

Lenny and Joe's Fish tale has had consistent quality for years. Their seafood is fresh and delicious. The menu is extensive with fried, broiled, and baked seafood options. Like everywhere else, the prices have gone up, and the portion sizes have decreased significantly. The restaurant was clean and organized. Isabella, our waitress was professional, friendly, efficient and wonderful. It is the perfect place on a summer afternoon to have a delicious lunch. We started with the lobster bisque, and had clam strips, a lobster roll, and was even treated to a beautiful rainbow as we were leaving the restaurant.

An amazing dinner as always! I realized when here that I have been coming with my family for 55 years to Lenny and Joes! The food is just as good! The difference is now the indoor seating they bring you to your table and have a menu that they serve you from. The outside you can order from the booths and they will bring the food to you The ice cream shack and the carousel rides cost but all goes to charity! This is a must if you are on the shore-- COME AND ENJOY!!!

Love love coming here as it never disappoints and always great quality. Very roomy location as it is very large and authentic ocean atmosphere. Always come here during the summer. Service is always great- nice and quick as we ordered lobster roll, crab cakes, and halibut. Rather large portion sizes and priced appropriately (lunch deals run great). Loved my crab cake as it is extremely fresh plus the side are delicious too. Overall Defs have to come here as it is a classic- really recommend

I've been coming here for more years than I care to count, since I was a kid. Multiple years upon multiple. They're located right by the whistling bridge for those of you who know the bridge is called that. There's a large lengthy parking lot which is usually close to full. There's am ice cream place in the same parking lot which you can pass on. Please trust me in this. You're not missing anything. I've tried a few times. Not sure why I keep trying it. Anywho, Bill's Seafood is spot on. There's a very large outdoor deck with lots of tables. There's also indoor seating and a bar to sit at. Much easier to get a table a lot quicker if you opt to eat inside. I switch every now and then, depending on our preferences at any given day. The restaurant is plainly decorated. Nothing stands out. The majority of time I've been here the place is usually very busy and just about full. I've never had to wait long anytime for my food. They really whip out the food pretty quickly in the years I've been coming here. You will be pleasantly surprised at the time it takes you to get your food when you see how busy it is if you stop here. Very surprised. The restaurant is a clean as most places. They clean up well after the tables are turned. The service has never been anything remarkable as in awesome over the top and very hospitable. It's just solid, regular, good, quick service with receiving your food quickly. They must have a good amount of cooks in back. Seafood is ALWAYS fresh. I must repeat this. Never has this ever been an issue. Do yourself a favor and take a trip up here. You won't be disappointed. I truly recommend this place. A for sure, repeat spot.

We ordered two lobster rolls, a chicken sandwich, fried clam strips, fried shrimp, and lobster nachos. This wasn't cheap (I didn't see the total as someone else paid). The chicken sandwich was basic but no one's there for the chicken haha. The fries were crispy, the clams were fresh and the shrimp was deliciously jumbo and lightly battered. The lobster rolls were ok, they didn't have much flavor even with the butter, but we were served good sized chunks so that was nice. The lobster nachos were more impressive to look at than to eat because it was basically cold lobster, a corn salsa, and dry tortilla chips. There's nothing else served other than a spritz of lime so the dish is pretty dry on its own. I would probably come again because it's a pretty view and it's BYOB, maybe get the lobster rolls, but I'd definitely come back for the jumbo shrimp!

The fried cod was some of the best I've ever had. Fish tacos were very good - love the red pepper remoulade it comes with. French fries and fried clam strips are both excellent - though I agree with another reviewer who mentioned that the clams could be a bit crispier. The two times we've gotten them, they needed just a touch more crunch and golden brown color. Still very good and the best around!!! The service was quick, friendly, and attentive, and the restaurant had a casual atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to our expectations. The soft-shell crabs tasted good, but the portions were extremely disappointing. The crab itself was so small that it was dwarfed by the romaine lettuce and standard tomato slices on the sandwich. For a dish that's supposed to be the star of the meal, it felt underwhelming. We also ordered the whole belly clams. They were good, but not exceptional, especially considering the price. I personally prefer them a bit crispier, and the batter lacked that crunch. The portion size was average. Our bill for two soft-shell crab sandwiches, one order of fried whole belly clams, and two Diet Cokes came to about $80. I understand that dining out is expensive these days, but the value simply wasn't there for us--particularly when it came to the size of the soft-shell crabs. Overall, the service and atmosphere were positives, but based on the portion sizes and price, I'm not sure we'd return.
