First let me say that Kiy does a great job as a hair stylist (dreadlocks). I've always been happy with my hair. Unfortunately I won't be going back for her to do my hair. On multiple occasions I've had to sit in her shop (which is quite tiny) with other clients. And she would go back n forth on our hair. This may be a common practice, but for personal and spiritual reasons I wasn't comfortable with it. So I politely requested if my appointments can be just her working on my hair. At first I thought we had an understanding but apparently we didn't. I guess 2 yrs of being a loyal customer means nothing. I generally tip everyone who provide me service but I've held back from tipping Kiy for this reason and a few others. read more

I had an appointment this weekend with Kiy for loc extensions. This was my first visit with her. I am so pleased with her work! She was gentle with my hair, very focus on making sure my locs were installed correctly and I like how she explained her timing of when she thought she'd be finish. And to top it off she was friendly, easygoing and we laughed the entire time. I highly recommend her for great locs! I'll be back, after all she owes me brunch! Lol :-). read more
