Cute little place for beer. Sat outside under the covered patio. Plenty of space! Great selection of beer. Very friendly bartender!

The beers are delicious, and the variety and the creativity of styles make them unique. Plus the beertender was very friendly and helpful and friendly when picking up what to have from their menu. The place is very nice and got lucky again with the nice weather, they have outdoor seating where you can enjoy your drinks. They don't have food, but the place on the next corner would bring your order to you if you let them know you're at the brewery. What did I drink? - Lumina, West Coast Pilsner 6% ABV - Zissou, French Lager 5.5% ABV - Bridgid, Maibock 7.4% ABV - Syzygy, Schwarzbier 4.5% ABV

Cellarest Beer Project was a fun spot to grab a beer at. We decided to have two rounds, it was the apricate for me and the yatta for my husband. Both were great choices. They switch the beers that they brew up so I will have to visit again soon. Cheers!

Cute little spot! We went on a grand brewery crawl, and loved this stop! We enjoyed a few tasters since they did not do flights. They had a wide selection of interesting beers available, and some chips, no foot or restaurant. But had a beautiful outdoor patio and a cool indoor setting! Definitely a fun and tasty stop on our self made tour!

There are already like eleventy-thousand reviews on Asheville breweries asking where to go on their beer city tours (really, try the search; I counted). And, I've already shared that the best brewery in Asheville is not in Asheville (in my opinion that honor goes to Zebulon Artisan Ales in nearby Weaverville). So, now it's time to share a newer favorite of the locals that is actually within city boundaries. You'll still need to venture outside of central downtown a mile or so to eclectic West Asheville to find Cellarest Beer Project. When you grab some nearby street parking along Haywood Rd and stroll past their outdoor seating to enter via the large open garage doors don't squint too hard at their draft list trying to find a hazy DDHs or a Carmen Miranda hat's inspired smoothie sour. These guys focus on fermenting, lagering, and aging beer on various woods using locally sourced and foraged ingredients to produce delicate beers like a cherrywood fermented English ale, the latest "could-be-a-trend-but-probably-won't" Cold IPA, or the Acacia-fermented and Oak-aged dark lager pictured above. But, maybe the high-ABV saison, sessionable stout, or smoked lager they have on draft right now look more up your alley. Whatever you choose it'll be fragrant, complex, and most likely under 7% ABV, so try a couple.

Brand new beer garden in West Asheville. Hubby and I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and there was a good crowd. Most seating is outside picnic tables. They play excellent music and the crowd is a mix of everything- very dog friendly. The staff is really friendly. Started off with Izles, a fantastic Irish Dry Stout. They also offer wine. From the table you can order food from a nearby restaurant (WALK) and have it delivered. They don't have a parking lot so it's taking a chance on street parking.

Super cool spot in West Asheville. It is right in the same area of some other bars, breweries, and restaurants and has a very nice outside area. When we arrived they had a food truck and a band playing but you could easily escape inside to hang out with your friends. They also had a selection of games to play which I always am a fan of and their drink selection was pretty nice. I really liked this area because there were people of all ages and walks of life and plenty of families hanging out and enjoying the nice weather and a beverage.

Visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this gem. Now, I want to go every day, but I know I should explore--lol. Andrea was my bartender and she was so friendly and helpful. I settled on a tasty Blonde Ale. I also had a chance to talk to owner Mark about his business plan. Don't worry about food either. You can grab some at the on-site food truck (a different truck each day) or at the restaurant next door. They have cool gear for sale, too.

A homebrew club friend recommended I stop by while visiting Asheville. We did and now have another regular. There are so many breweries in the area yet Cellarest brings something special and new. We tried an IPA, dark lager, pale ale, and saison. All were fantastic. The atmosphere and service were outstanding too. We'll be back soon.

Awesome place but needs to step it up with their service. One bartender = 20+ minute wait to get a beer.

Kudos to Harrison Fahrer and his business partner, Matt, for creating a place that celebrates the arts while providing the best beer in West Asheville.

In the 1.5 years since, it's still the place I most often come back to in Hendersonville, despite sampling the food and beer at basically every place in town! I love the ambiance of the old converted gas station, the fact that you can sit inside or outside (and on chilly days, they don't skimp on the heaters) and the carousel of great food trucks that are always there. I love that you're not limited to one brewery's offerings, and instead have options from local NC establishments to interesting brews from all over the country. The bartenders know their regulars and are absolutely awesome, and I LOVE that I can take my pup, take my family, take my laptop---whatever the circumstances, Blue Ridge Beer Garden is the place to be. ALSO, it should be noted that in sleepy Hendo (where some restaurants close as early as 8 pm--why??), Blue Ridge Beer Garden is blessedly open till 10.

They are close to downtown Hendersonville without being right on the main road, which makes parking and access easier.

Once they opened we went right for the bar to order as it was getting busy with people already on a Tuesday morning! I ordered a flight and my boyfriend had a beer. The server was a little cold. Not necessarily unfriendly just a little curt which was fine maybe she was having a bad day. But I got a pre selected flight and she had me take a picture of the flight list so I knew which beer was which. Idk a lot of other breweries would have wrote it down but a picture works too. We sat outside on their covered patio and watched the river. It started to get really nice out so after that we sat at their turf area and chilled until we were done. We spent a good hour here and just really liked the vibe outside . People had their dogs so we were so watching and in generally very friendly . I took a picture beneath the sign with the bicycles. You can see that on a weekend this place would get crazy busy so it was nice for us to just relax and take in the atmosphere without it getting so crowded. Anyone who is in Asheville should check this place out.

We came on a Tuesday afternoon after hitting a couple breweries in the Mills River area . The area that the taproom in is really beautiful with mature trees and it's a huge facility . We parked and walked inside and headed to the bar. I got a flight and my boyfriend got an IPA. I thought the beers were really good and I liked that there was some that you couldn't find anywhere else . We also ordered some duck fries that were so dang good . As we waited for our food , we went to do a self tour of the brewery and that was great to see the history of Sierra Nevada and the different rooms that the processing occurred in. After our food we cashed out and took the remainder of our beers to their outdoor area . Once you pass by their amphitheater you went down this trail towards a little river and we went farther still and there was this whole field of yard games and tables that you could sit and enjoy right next to the rushing river (French Broad River) . All the staff that we encountered with was very nice and knowledgeable. Just a really fun atmosphere to be in where even the staff looked like they were enjoying themselves . I would highly highly recommend stopping in!
