The owner has redone the space in a soothing pallet of white end, green with beige and wood accents. It provides a calming space to enjoy a breakfast, lunch, pastry, coffee/tea while reading or visiting with friends or working. The coffee shop is immaculately, clean and spacious. We were greeted kindly upon entry and they also are wonderful about bringing your items out to you which offers a nice touch of service. I had a London fog with cinnamon and honey and my husband had a hot latte and a cheese/raspberry danish. They also offered gluten-free pastries, which I appreciated, but I did not have at that time. Our drinks were good quality, and my husband enjoyed his pastry. The playlist is upbeat without being too loud to concentrate. It really was a lovely café and we would definitely go back if we were in this area again.

*MUST VISIT FALL ACTIVITY*…read more Louisberg Cider Mill is such a gem and a charming little place to visit! Just 25-30 minutes away from Overland Park and surrounding areas. The parking is easy, and during fall they have a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and family activities - currently they have opened up their activities space from 12th Sept. The parking area to the left is geared towards the fall activity and on the right you will find the country store itself along with hard cider booth, Food truck and a tiny Mill itself. Since it was 90° outside, I skipped the activities and went into the store directly. The rest of the year, the country store and mill are open I believe. It was my very first cider mill experience. And I couldn't have picked up a better place than this one - absolutely fell in love!! The store feels like walking straight into fall ... the smell inside the store will make you nostalgic instantly. The store shelves were stocked with everything from fruit butters,BBQ sauces, Loose Teas, Jams ,Preserves to pancake/donut/cake mixes, ciders, and wines along with seasonal decor and kids stuff. I couldn't help but feel like a kid again lol. I left with strawberry rhubarb preserve, Dutch apple preserve, apple butter, orchard blend hard cider, and the donuts off course. NOTE - Since I am a diabetic, I'm always searching for food items which has no extra sugar added, and I found that many of the preserves butters had no extra sugar added ... it was a win-win situation for me. The donuts are warm, golden, dusted with Sugar, and extremely soft inside. It 100% answered the question like if fall had a flavor then this could be it - very cinnamony and cider like. The Dutch apple preserves were full of crisp apple chunks huge ones, the strawberry rhubarb preserve was also perfectly made and the apple butter had a deep caramelized flavor and my husband loved the hard cider for being crisp and slight sweetness. Right next door is the mill itself, with displays of cider-making equipment and baskets of fresh apples. There's also outdoor seating to eat the purchased food. I'll definitely going to be back when the temperature cools down to explore the pumpkin patch and the corn maze. If you're anywhere near Kansas City, this place is a MUST fall activity. Even if you just go for the donuts, it's worth the trip.

My littles are 5 and under and they loved the corn kernel pit, the hay ride, and all the animals! And of course we ended our trip with an apple cider donut! We went early in the morning so there weren't too many people yet, which was nice! It was also a pretty hot day, so we got an apple cider slushy to cool us down!

We were in yesterday (Sat around 8:15 AM). The girl working the order register was a snot from the get go. I find it hard to believe that other customers didnt have complaints about her either. We attempted to order food which she rang up nit than said we don't have biscuits and gravy so you can't have that or the savory crepe with gravy. Ok but you rang it up, didn't ask anyone so how's then did you know you didnt have two of the six things you have on the menu? We then ordered house coffee which she then began writing our name on plastic drink cups. When we told her, those are regular coffees right? She said no your ordered iced. My girlfriend said NO, I ordered coffee and I said, "I'll have a coffee too". I never said iced ether and she threw a fit. We said you know what, make it 2 Togo coffees. She gave my girlfriend that leaked the entire time and the bottom of the cup was saturated like it was going to fall apart anytime. She has no business being in a customer service role. Not sure what her issue was. Was it we weren't regulars? Because if so, as a small business-good luck growing your business catering only to your 20-30 regulars. I will say, it was a solid cup of coffee though.

Pretty good! Its a…read moresmall little coffee shop in Grandview. I love local mom and pop shops and this place doesn't disappoint. I always order a flat white, its my only drink so I like to compare them. That is unless I am in NOLA then I will do cafe au lait, but thats my other reviews. The foam was perfect. A nice microfoam that was smooth and silky and as it settled into the espresso it created a nice creamy smooth drink. The espresso was a touch on the bitter side for me. Maybe a few seconds quicker or a slightly less fine grind. It could have been the coffee beans themselves. I noticed they are using messenger, which is great, but tend to be a bit more bitter due to the roast. Of course, everyone's tastes are different and these are just mine. There was nothing wrong with anything. Overall the milk foam and coffee made for a tasty hot coffee drink to sip. The service was very good and helpful. The barista who made my coffee was very nice and guided us through some of the more interesting menu items, but I am a flat white guy and she nailed it. The place is very small. There are a few places outside to sit but it was hot so we sat inside. A couple of downsides. First, is my wife is a tea drinker and they really didn't have much hot tea. Second, when I order to drink it in the shop I like a real cup instead of paper. Lots of places cater to the take away so I get why they do it, but I really prefer a cup. That being said, if they would have had a great mix of tea drinks I could see this being a regular spot for us. Overall, good place to stop and sip some coffee.
