Both benedict's were decent, but they came with sourdough toast instead of the classic english muffin, making it very hard to eat. There was not much pork belly to be honest also. The hollandaise sauce that is vital to eggs benedict was lacking in my opinion, but I did really enjoy the side salad it came with. The kale salad was not good at all. The dressing tasted artificial and we did not touch it at all.

Two food options were made, Hearty Monster Rice Balls, and Meat Pies. The rice balls were honestly pretty good, nothing fancy but good. The Meat Pies filling was good, but the entirety of it was pretty greasy and oily which was a little disappointing. I do hope they do another Zelda night and offer more food options. If they do that, we will definitely go again!

Local Burger truly is that local place with food so good that it makes you feel lucky to nearby. Many locals will say this about local eateries everywhere, but LB is truly excellent in everywhere. The staff is ok. Last time I went, a very young, pleasant girl was working who knew all about their beef and convinced me to try the Capn Crunch bbq chicken which was excellent. Certainly gave me the individual attention I look for in the truly great more casual restaurants. Man is that place good. Burgers are grass fed beef from local dealers and the difference in quality is clearly noticeable in comparison to the standard fast food burger. Fries are excellent, and I also love the aforementioned Capn Crunch barbecue chicken tenders. I live 25 minutes from it and still make the trip a couple times of month just to get something from their menu. Also, the place stays up late which is ideal if one is out late in Northampton. Prices are just right - they are not cheap, but it isn't expensive either. Wait time...the food can take a little while. That is, however, the price you pay for getting quality food which is freshly made. It isn't manufactured on an assembly line ala a fast food place, so it takes a bit longer but also tastes much better. In general, great place and one of the best burgers in western Mass. I love the general cool, relaxed, old-style diner-type vibe and atmosphere here. My review is less about the food (which my stomach finds to be a bit too greasy later on), but about the EXCELLENT customer service I experienced there recently! I ordered their chili and it was saltier than I can eat. The server came by with some more food for our table and asked if we needed anything. I said the chili was too salty for me, he apologized and suggested they try adding some cheese to dilute it. He took it away and brought it back ... still too salty. He said "let me ask the cook." When he came back, he said the cook had checked the recipe and the amount of salt was as they make it. He then offered to replace it with something else -- I got the veggie burger as a replacement, and he came back later on to make sure it was tasty and I was happy. I was extremely impressed by how hard he worked to make sure my relatively small meal was satisfactory, and also thought it reflected well on the policies of Local Burger. 5 star service, thank you! read more

Local Burger is a well-loved Northampton staple, offering both indoor and outdoor dining as well as operating a food truck alongside their brick-and-mortar location. We visited after a graduation celebration, and despite the restaurant being busy, the service was exceptional. The staff were friendly and efficient, quickly getting our food out while answering any questions we had about the menu. The burgers were delicious and well worth the price. While slightly on the higher end for a burger, the quality justifies it. The patties were juicy, the buns perfectly toasted, and the toppings added a great balance of flavors to each bite. If you're in Northampton, Local Burger is definitely worth a visit. I'd love to come back next time I'm in the area! read more

I came when they first opened - so excited and left more than bummed. Glad to see local beef available, but when I politely told them the burger was great and would it be possible to get local fries as an option, they first lied and tried to claim the potatoes "came from around the corner" which actually meant a local distributor, and then got mad that I asked more questions and practically ran me out of the store. I hope these guys get better, cause its a great idea. read more

Veggie burger was obviously cooked in meat fat, so smelled strongly of meat and was inedible to this vegetarian. It probably wasn't intentional -- I'm guessing they just use the same griddle and are not careful -- but come on. Fries were edible but not very crispy. Conclusion: MEH. Won't be returning. I tried the grass fed burger but it's too dry for me. Now I usually go for the angus burger. Local burger isn't an amazing place, but it's a nice place when you're craving a decent burger and don't want to spend a lot of money. I like their fries and although I'm usually a big sweet potato fry fan, Local's sweet fries just don't taste very good to me. They seem to lack the usual flavor of sweet potatoes.. read more

I have came here a bunch of times and they never fail to impress me with their burgers. The local burger as a classic to their menu is always made the way I want it. The beef is so tender that the whole burger just melts in your mouth regardless of how big it is. By far this is the best place to go to for burgers in western mass. read more

I agree with whoever said it was "good fast food." I am a sucker for the sweet potato fries and maple mayo. Great snack when I'm in town. Downside is that there are not a lot of tables, just a lot of empty space where there could/should be tables, so it's bad for groups or busy days. read more

Great burgers, especially the grass fed. They are a great stop, often fast and friendly. Just wish they'd use better bread - something local. You'd think that's the theme, but the buns are low-quality GMO style bread. So many good bakeries around, they should go local. read more
