I would give it one star, but the beer is cold and there's a good selection. I've been here twice, so I'm fairly sure I can speak to my experience not being a one off. The sausage is awful. Our server said that she was confused when we ordered our sauce/toppings on the side. We wanted to tasted the wurst without drowning it in extras. We each took one bite and couldn't eat any more. It's just so bad. Bad quality, bad taste, and bad cooking. The pretzel is fine. Nothing special. I'd take the Progression Brewing pretzel from a few blocks away before this one. At $13, it's really not worth the money. For a small order of fries? $7. By my math, we paid about $0.20 per single potato spear. It's a small basket that isn't even halfway full? For proclaiming to be a German place, almost none of the food is actually German. Flammkuchen, bratwurst, a pretzel are the German foods on offer. Of the three mustards they have, not one of them is German mustard!! The beer cheese is obviously jarred queso too. The place is clean enough, the beer is cold. Service is okay. But damn, everything else is doing it's best to be terrible. Northampton is truly special in its ability to facilitate the survival of bad restaurants. read more

Nothing but good things to say about Wurst Haus. They graciously agreed to reserve an area for our after party to our wedding. When we arrived they had put up adorable decorations, kept the kitchen open an hour later for us and all of the staff were nothing but attentive, friendly and celebratory. We were looking for a spot to gather after the wedding but Wurst Haus completely blew it out of the water. Thank you!! read more

Good beer selection but the sausage is bad. It's not German sausage and they just taste off. Pretty sure they are microwaved also. This place calling themselves the wurst haus is offensive to sausages everywhere. I now call it the worst Haus. Also 10 bucks for a pretty small serving of fries is just bonkers. All in all I wouldn't eat here again or recommend it to anyone. If all you want is a $9 pint of beer it's ok for that. read more

We sat there for almost a half hour waiting to get some service. All we got was weird stares and snarky looks from the servers. I had to go over and ask if we could put an order in. The bartender didn't wanna be there at all. She straight up refused to serve us and some other girl came over and said "I am not the bartender, she is, but I will serve you drinks". The service was just downright awful. The beer wasn't all that great. The place did not seem welcoming at all. We were the only non-white people there and I don't wanna believe that had anything to do with the extremely poor service but it cannot be entirely ruled out either. THIS IS THE WORST PLACE for customer service. I would've given this place a ZERO if I could. The bartender hates her job and is extremely rude to customers. The bar is big and it seems like she has a hard time getting from one end to the other without issue. She made drinks that were awful and when we asked to fix them she had a major attitude. She would slide our drinks to us rather than nicely placing them on the counter. At the end, she messed up our bar tab -- charging a friend of ours the entire tab. When we told her it was wrong, she glared at us and grabbed the receipt. She then assumed we were trying to steal a credit card from a friend of ours. She assumed that he was a stranger when in fact we knew him. This girl was more consumed in our conversations than making sure she was taking care of her customers. The food sucks and the beer is ok. Its not hard to find a brewery in Northampton or in nearing towns so beware. This is a dump - plain and simple. This is where most of the hipsters go and the whole idea of this being a cool german sausage haus has gotten lost with their awful service and horrible bands that play there. read more

Far from the "wurst" haus around. This is one of the newest german flair spots in the area. It replaces Mcladden's which was run dow from poor management. Stopped in for a beer and brat and was not disappointed. read more

Just had lunch here. I understand that it's called the Wurst Haus and sausage or the like are the featured menu items but it seems like its more about the bar than food. I ordered the cheddar bacon bratwurst with sauerkraut. I couldn't taste any bacon and the sauerkraut was straight out of a can. If you want a nice selection of beers and an appetizer to go with then go with the brussel sprouts because they didnt have any pretzels. My guess is food is an after thought here but a nice place to have a drink. read more

Absolutely, terribly, and disgustingly rude staff, takes so much to just to get a drink, and if they ask it's in a sarcastic way. Also sky high over priced Drinks. The Bar Tender also accused me of "walking out on my tab" which was totally untrue. I was a regular and no longer am long story short. Not the place to go if you just want a simple "normally" And "fair" priced drink, let alone actually getting it. Heaven sakes. read more
