I saw a sign for this place as I was passing Tehachapi on the highway to Bakersfield and immediately had to pull over to check it out. I arrived nearly an hour early but decided to just wait til' they opened since I was already there. I had a flight of four tasters. Mostly darker beers, that's my thing. The beers were ok, but the pecan stout was like WOW! Nice job on that one! The interior is a large open warehouse which is kinda cool. The lady bartender was not very friendly with me which was offputting so I kept to myself and did not strike up conversation. Cool place with lot of beer choices. The owner took the time to give us a little crash course about the making of beer and what he uses as well as his mistakes which is how he came up with his creations. Atmosphere is very casual, allows you to bring friendly pets, WiFi and has a cater selling a specialty of the night bbq style food. Prices are reasonable and I would suggest if it's your first time there order the flight. It has four 2oz of their sampler beers. My favorite beers from their choices are their Coconut Brown and El Hefe Beer. It is a little difficult to find especially at night. My buddy and I sampled about 10 beers and found all but one to be very well done. Even grab a couple of cans to take home each. The hazy's were my favorite, followed by the stouts. We came to Tehachapi with a friend who grew up there and had not yet been back to see/ visit Honey Wagon Brewing, so, as San Diego beer snobs, we were pretty pumped. Visited on a Friday night and it was fairy busy, but still easy to get the bartender's attention/ order more beer. We ordered three flights of tasters, having decided that we should try all before we make the very serious commitment of buying a full beer. We really enjoyed most of the beers we tried, especially the Natalie Porter, Quaker Shaker, and S&M Blonde. It's pretty great to try a flight of beers and like nearly all of them. The bartenders were friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the brewery itself was clean and well-maintained. We'll definitely be back. read more

The beers here is great and under the new owner, Tyson, the options have grown. The new Triple IPA is fucking unbelievable ( don't have more than one if your driving). So glad my wife and I decided to finally pay honey wagon brewery a visit today! Very easy to find and the place was clean and spacious! Very cool vibe and great service....oh yeah and BEER! We both got a flight of beer both with different types of brew! Mine were a mix of ipa's and pale and a coffee stout and my wife's where a mix of reds and porters. The beers were all great and we will be paying the honeywagonbrewery several visits in the future! read more

A bar, tv and a few tables that's about it. -Nothing fancy or formal about it. -This place is all about the beer. This is not a place to bring a date to get your grub on. They do have snacks but my suggestion would either be eat before you go or have a couple beers and go eat some place else. - if you never been here, if it were any closer you could throw a rock and hit Home Depot. - My only suggestion would be that this place could benefit from some sort of bar activity. Such as a pool table or darts. I didn't hear any music or see any jukebox so that could be a plus as well. - The beer is amazing and the other customers and bartender seems friendly. Stop I'm here passing throw Tehachapi, only place open for a cold one on easter. Even if this was not the only place open I would go back. The beer is great! I had a ruthless red And the coconut brown both amazing. I took a crawler 32 ounce beer home of the ruthless. I will be stop here on my way home to try a few more for sure! I don't remember the two girls names that where working but one of the girl was a little rude and short, I was trying to ask her some questions about the beer and I felt more annoying to her then anything. It was not busy at all so I feel like she could've taken the time. But in her defense I realized after getting there she was getting off within about 20 to 30 minutes, and it was Easter so I'm sure she was ready to be home so I have kind of mixed feelings about it, but still feel like she should've answered my questions. The second girl that came in was amazing, I can't remember her name all I know is she's five months pregnant she said. We talked about her kids and she answered all my questions about the different beers and I didn't feel annoying at all. I went here the first time Sunday. I was told to come here by some of my fellow beer lovers for a friends birthday. I had ordered a flight so I could sample the main eye catchers! First off, I'm an out of towner to Tehachapi but have been working out here for the past few months on a weekly basis. So why is it I am just now finding this hidden gem of a brewery?! It is located off the beaten path but that's a good thing and I can walk here in 5 minutes from where I lodge. The layout has a nice wraparound bar along with table seating both inside and outside, Cherie happened to be my server for the evening and she was very courteous and offered a bunch of mixtures of the great craft beers they had to offer. My favorite was the Red and Blonde mix, I believe it was called the stepchild but could be wrong. Pints were $6 Growlers were $20 and between $12-$14 to fill Samplers (4 servings) were $8 your choice or $6 for their pick of pours. Steve the owner happened to be there and on this particular day he was grilling free hot dogs for his patrons since they do not serve food, he did state he has been granted permission to start serving soon and is working on a food truck. You can order delivery there or bring something to grill on their BBQ which is awesome!!! It is also dog friendly, which too me is my only gripe about this establishment but the beer made me forget about all of that. Definitely will be back when I'm in town! read more

They don't serve food but have arrangements with local places to deliver there. We've been here a few times now and I can't say enough good about it. The atmosphere alone is so welcoming. The patrons are all so welcoming. The staff are so happy and helpful. There's a nice large taproom a bar and a great outdoor area. The beer is great and there's 10 different kinds to choose from as well as some amazing Blends. This is a great place to grab a beer in Tehachapi... maybe the only place too! Great bartenders and really good beers.

I've been here twice and can say, they make damn fine beer. I'm a hop head and these folks deliver. There is also a nice selection of stouts and a couple of sours as well as other styles, that also deliver great balance and flavor. Be forewarned, they don't have a kitchen to serve, but you can bring in your own food and all is well. Perhaps do your own beer and food pairing. The staff there is friendly and helpful in guiding you through the descriptions of the different beers. I will return, thirsty for more. read more

Beers are really good but their cans loose their pressure when held for a little while didn't really help keep the beer fresh.
