Vanilla latte with espresso whip cream made in house.
    Henry S.

Great coffee spot hidden in Tehachapi definitely would recommend it if in the area or just driving past on the 58. The place is warm cozy and welcoming. The menu is great and the coffee is even more delicious. I have to say it's in my top two coffee places in kern county. I went with a Americano which was great! It had a smooth mellow flavor and not bitter at all. My wife went with a vanilla latte with Espresso whip cream made in house, she loved it. My daughter had a "Love Potion" sparkling dragon fruit lemonade which she loved as well. They offer food and pastries and the selection is abundant. I went with a slice of coffee cake and I really enjoyed it. Overall a great experience and great coffee, I really wish they had one in Bakersfield but I don't mind making the drive or making a quick pit stop on the way to Vegas.

    Seraphina's Bloom, delightful!

I'm visiting from out of the area and needed a GOOD iced coffee! A quick Yelp search lead me Mountain Coffee House. I ordered the Seraphina's Bloom. Salted honey lavender with lemon cold foam. I'm usually not a fruity coffee fan, but this particular combination is perfect! The lemon cold foam really compliments the honey lavender. My new favorite drink! I might have to drive into town every day to get this drink while I'm here! An old house has been renovated into this charming coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu has an array of drinks and lunch options. Service with luv from the owner and baristas. Highly recommend!

I love this place. My friend introduced it to me a while back and I come here as often as I can. My favorite drink is the Blackberry daydream. It's desert in a cup! I have tried the spinach and feta pretzel, the regular chai and a sip of my mom's honey bunny. My husband tried the petals and cream and loved it. Honestly I can't wait to try something new here, I haven't been disappointed at all. The service is good, everyone is friendly and the place is cozy and inviting.

Cute little coffee house not far off the highway with a very welcoming, cozy modern cabin ambience. Large menu, featuring tons of coffee options as well as teas and other fun beverages. They offer a good variety of creative bagels and sandwiches, as well as fun pastries. I ordered the birdy bagel and an iced latte with vanilla and hazelnut syrup. Both were quite delicious and well executed. Staff was friendly and focused taking orders correctly. I'll definitely be returning when I am in this area again!

    The flowers we bought

Had a lil breakfast date with my sister, it's a cute lil space to grab a small bite and a drink. I had a lavender latte and it was delicious. For food I had a blt, it was good but ended up being pretty messy with grease running down my hands. It was very fulfilling. We definitely enjoyed our time here and on the way out there's some flowers from another local business that you can pick a fresh bouquet. Super cute idea.

    Breakfast bagel and caramel macchiato

This place is SO cute!! We came the Saturday before Mother's Day and they had a little sign that said they were understaffed and to be patient. However, they were super quick and we got our coffee and food rather quickly! So I can only imagine how fast they are when they've got everyone working :) I ordered the caramel macchiato and asked if they could make it on the sweeter side, as I like my coffee sweeter. They said no problem and made it perfect!! It was so good! After getting home to Bakersfield I found myself craving another! I also ordered the breakfast bagel with sausage. Delicious! Their sausage was so good! Slightly spicy but very juicy. My friend tried it and said it was really good too! They also had farm fresh eggs available on the counter for purchase from a farm in the area! I would absolutely be back if I'm in Tehachapi again. Love this spot!

Nutella Mocha and Spinach & Feta Stuffed Pretzel

Solid drink, well made, tastes not overly sweet. The stuffed pretzel is really tasty, but I would love it if it came out a tab bit hotter

    Hair in grapes

11/10/2025 ~10:30am Around this time last year, we met one of the owners (or the owner's husband) of this coffee shop at another spot in Tehachapi. He was super nice and welcoming, especially since we were new to the area, and told us to check this place out. Since then, I've come by a few times and always had great experiences, friendly employees, amazing food, and good vibes all around. It's even become my go to spot to bring friends and family when they visit. Unfortunately, today's visit was really disappointing and honestly kind of embarrassing. When we walked in, we took a minute to look at the menu and decided to try something from the fall specials. As we went up to order, the employee at the register (Leah) rolled her eyes at us. My friend asked a few questions about drinks and milk alternatives, and the employee's attitude was so off-putting that my friend decided to skip the drink altogether and just order food. Watching the interaction was uncomfortable. Leah came across as annoyed and aggressive, like she didn't want to be there. When it was my turn to order, I tried to keep it quick, but after everything I said she'd respond with, "What else, guys?" in a really dismissive tone, like we were bothering her or taking too long. The food itself actually tasted really good, just like it always does, but it was hard to enjoy it after the experience we had ordering. We ended up spending around $60, and to top it off, there was a hair wrapped around the grapes that came with our food and my friend's sandwich wasn't what the menu described. I've never seen this employee before, so maybe she was having a bad day, but it completely changed the experience for us. I normally don't leave reviews, but this one really needed to be addressed because it was so different from the great service I've had here in the past.

Love it. Got the turkey ciabatta. Nice and hot when it came out. Full of flavor. Got a Frappuccino with rose and lavender. Also good! The girls were very friendly. Place was clean and nice in the inside. Will be back.

Great stop for some hometown charm.

Great local stop. One of my most favorite home town pop ins. The coffee is great the presentation even better. We had the Campfire Mocha today and it is so dang cute!!!! Taste is ooff the charts. Service is exceptional. I am having a grilled cheese today and we got a ham ciabata. The food is top notch. The only downside is if you don't come check it out yourself!!

After driving in to town from Los Angeles, I told my husband I wanted to grab a couple of coffees before going to his office, but I wanted to support a small shop instead of going in the the grocery store where they have a coffee chain kiosk inside. I believe in supporting small business! We had tried to visit Old Isabella Coffee twice before, but it was later in the afternoon and they were closed. I decided to give them a pass and try again since it's earlier. But today, we arrived before 1pm and parked. I went up the stairs to their entry door and it seemed very dark inside. The door was locked, and only then did I realize the blinds were closed. I checked the posted hours and they close at 1pm daily, but apparently they closed early on this day. A Friday, in a town that often leans on "weekenders" for increased business volume. While looking for the posted hours I saw the very friendly sign which shows a revolver pointing forward so you can look down the barrel of the gun and they proudly announce that there's nothing inside worth dying for. How warm and inviting! Well I, for one, was really looking forward to an amazing coffee beverage "to die for".. but now I know this won't be my place locally. I've tried 3 times and found myself alone at their place of business. In retrospect, the 3 ladies at the Starbucks inside the Vons store had a LINE of people waiting to buy coffee, snacks and lunch. As I joined the line, I casually said "I guess this is the place for great coffees in town!" and two of the guys in line said "they're reliably open, the service is great and have decent hours during the day". They were wearing yellow vests, maybe guys working on the street improvements or employees from SCE? If i owned a small business in a small town, i would definitely be pandering to just this type of customer. Extend operating hours, offer discounts to these contractors to bring them in daily! The guys said they're at Starbucks more than once a day, every day. That's a lot of opportunity lost to the little, local guy. So while I'm not usually a Starbucks person, when in KRV apparently they will be my go-to from now on. I tried to support local, but wasn't getting the support in return.
