Their soup is just boiled vegetables in water. It's begging for seasoning

My coworkers and I really tried to give this place so many chances... my coworker ordered the curry bowl to go and when we got back to work, the lentils were... crunchy and starchy. Like, just warm but uncooked. After taking one bite, we went back to ask for something different- and the woman working (Alma E on the receipt) yelled at us and stuck her bare hand in the lentils and rubbed them together in our faces saying the lentils were fine and delicious and we should know better. She eventually gave us a refund (half the amount) and we wasted our lunch break hungry and disappointed. I wouldn't mind bad food, but this was inedible and the woman was so rude to us. Btw the free veggie soup they give you is watery broth with steamed veggies...

Blue collagen açaí bowl

Situated in a busy street but easily accessible with parking is a cute little healthy spot to grab some breakfast or lunch. When entering no greeting and most of the workers (there were about 5, done changing shifts) are teens so we waited about 7 min to get help. We were the only ones in line. However, once someone else helped us, they were really friendly. The açaí bowl with blue collagen and their granola with the many choices of drizzle & fruit were a nice surprise. Most açaí bowls are limited with choices of toppings. This is one of the best smoothie bowls we have had. I would definitely return for because the food was delicious.

Baja Bro bowl

I had an hour before my train back home so I decided to stop in for a healthy dinner. I loved how clean and open this place was and it had all fresh ingredients behind the glass. I was so thrilled to have stumbled upon this place! I wanted to do the Thai bowl, it sounded amazing but I wasn't in the mood for a cold dish, so I decided to go with the Baja bro bowl. I wasn't sure what the concept was preparing the food. They have a huge bowl and mixed together all the ingredients! There was fresh white chicken chunks, basmati rice, cilantro, black beans, fresh salsa, jalapenos, and a lime squeeze and dressing mixed all together. I was happily satisfied that it lived up to my expectations! Even more so! The flavor was great, the portion size was really good, everything was so fresh, and the gal behind the counter was so friendly and nice! They were offering free soup, but that would have been messy on the train so I just got my chicken and rice bowl and left. It is amazing! I will have to see if there is one in Long Beach. But I always come down to San Diego by train and since it's right across the train station I know where I'm going to be stopping in for lunches and dinners when I come into town!

Endless Summer

Local Greens is a fantastic find for anyone seeking delicious healthy food. The menu is diverse and inventive, featuring fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. I loved the cobb and endless summer salad. Service was outstanding--warm, attentive, and knowledgeable about the dishes. Local Greens offers great food, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I can't wait to return!

Pesto chicken sandwich

Wanted to try something different for lunch and found this place. It looked very healthy and they had a very unique menu. I tried the pesto chicken sandwich, it was great but the filling kept coming out so it was a little hard to eat. All the ingredients were so fresh though and they loaded it with chicken. They even gave me a free veggie soup to go with my meal. I'll be back to try their different bowls!

Great vegan options here. I will be coming back. No line and service was great. Went around 4:00pm ate my food at the beach after catching some 10 foot waves. The place look nice if you wanted to eat inside. I will be taking my dates here

The salmon salad is delicious. The chicken salad has zero flavor. The ahi salad is okay, lacks interest and flavor to me.

We waited about 30 minutes (Sunday afternoon rush), but it gave me plenty of time to explore the menu. I usually stick to a simple order, but with so many base options, I decided to "do it all," and I'm so glad I did. My son loved the pitaya and mango bases (and so did I). The blue coconut and classic açaí were excellent, and the blue chia topping was a fun and tasty surprise. All the fruit was extra fresh, and the granola added the perfect crunch. We absolutely loved everything and will definitely be back soon!

BLUE BOWL @ UCSD LA JOLLA…read more Parking is available, but I believe you have to pay if you park in the garage. I decided to just park along Gilman Drive, which is free, and walked about 20 minutes. Honestly, it wasn't bad at all -- it was a sunny day and there's plenty of street parking if you're willing to walk a bit. I've always loved Blue Bowl Superfoods in Oceanside. It's SO good and easily one of my favorite açaí spots, I could literally eat it every single day. I love all the customizations they offer, the variety of bases, and just how many ingredients they have. This time, I decided to visit their UCSD location, which is right in the middle of University of California San Diego's campus. They open around 10 AM on Saturdays (and typically around 8 AM on weekdays), and even right at opening there were already a lot of people waiting. My friend and I were still able to get in and out pretty quickly around 10. I ended up getting their mango passion base along with açaí. For toppings, I loaded it up strawberries, bananas, apples, blackberries, blueberries they truly have so many options. I also love their variety of nuts, seeds, and different types of nut butters. They really don't skimp on choices. Overall, I would highly recommend stopping by. I was SO full after, and honestly, you could even split a bowl with a friend because they pack it generously. It's about $12 for a normal medium-sized bowl, which I think is worth it for the portion and quality. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated. The ambiance is nice it's more of a grab-your-bowl and then sit outside type of vibe, but there is indoor seating as well. Definitely one of my favorite açaí spots, and this location did not disappoint.

We started with cocktails, including the Prickly Lady, which was watery and completely tasteless. I then ordered the trio of dips, which were equally underwhelming--nothing memorable or distinctive, and no better than what you could buy at Trader Joe's or throw together in a blender in a couple of minutes. While we were trying our best to enjoy the drinks and appetizers, we also couldn't help but notice the very blah ambiance around us. It was quiet, cold, and insincere. There was truly nothing charming about the place and the whole vibe felt off. That should have been our first red flag, but we tried to ignore it to make the most of our rare date night. For my entrée, I ordered the branzino piccata. This was especially disappointing because branzino is one of my favorite dishes, and when you commit to a whole fish, there's no turning back. While I'm used to navigating bones, I found a bone in nearly every other bite, which made the dish unpleasant to eat. Worse, the fish itself was incredibly dry and completely lacking in flavor, accompanied by nothing more than a few warm cherry tomatoes. There was no cohesive sauce or flavor profile to speak of. Dessert followed the same theme. The s'mores cake was also dry, with a barely-there chocolate ganache center and a marshmallow topping that was honestly laughable. Unfortunately, the food wasn't even the worst part of the evening. At the end of the meal, we were told we could not use a gift card despite having called 24 hours in advance to confirm it would be accepted when we made our reservation. This led to an interaction with the owner and chef that was shocking and completely unprofessional. He caused a scene, raised his voice, and yelled at my husband and me, the paying customers. He repeatedly cut me off mid-sentence while allowing my husband to finish speaking, which felt blatantly disrespectful. When I calmly asked if there was anything he could do for us, given that he's in the hospitality business, his response was simply: "No. You can pay the whole bill and leave." I have truly never been treated this way at any restaurant in my life. Between the consistently dry, flavorless food and the hostile, misogynistic behavior from the owner, I am genuinely shocked this place is still in business. Sadly, the restaurant seems to be run exactly the way the food is cooked--poorly.
