Dining area.

We've drove by this place for years and wondered how the food was. Sad to say, it was very disappointing. My husband ordered the chicken stuffed spud. I ordered the Indian curry. Of the two dishes, mine was better. Still, the curry left much to be desired. My husband's entree was so bad, he asked me to pour my curry over it. Luckily, it improved it. Neither one of us finished our food. Overall, the service was ok. The restaurant wasn't clean and had an open tub in the dining area where customers placed dirty dishes, which wasn't very hygienic. This place could be so much better. It's in a nice enough location, close to the beach. The dining area had some nice decor. We most likely won't be back.

We came here for a late lunch on a Sunday. So very many choices as a vegetarian. Great add ins or subtractions to make it fit your dietary needs. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and our food came fast. All I can say is yum!

A recent Saturday lunch here was nice! I ordered the Lotus Bowl, which was a tasty combination of mock chicken, black beans, spinach, carrots, broccoli, cabbage, and brown rice. The tahini-ginger sauce made all the difference! We had to hunt down utensils but it wasn't a big deal.

Kombucha Stuffed Avocado

This is my favorite restaurant. The consistency is legit. The soups melt in your mouth and taste so homemade. The falafel balls are crave-able at 11pm -that tahini sauce is the best thing I've ever tasted and That crispy crunch of fried falafel my go-to is the 1/2 avocado tuna cup. The lemon dressing is the freshest, punchiest more perfect pop and I add a little homemade ranch to make the tuna even creamier. The atmosphere is so private and chill and it's just the most perfect spot. I've eaten here twice a month for years. I always leave happy and feel like I have my body the good stuff.

Everything about this dish was great good quality. The presentation was beautiful, but the taste was even better. Perfectly grilled salmon, wonderful sauce, and colorful, fresh vegetable that was cooked just right. Perfect Dinner balanced and delicious meal.

What a little treasure in downtown Encinitas. I love visiting Lotus Cafe. The staff is always friendly with a menu that has something for everybody. The cafe has a unique decor and I love it. It's also clean with plenty of interior and exterior seating options. I got the curry veggie tempeh. It was just right and healthy. My friend got a chicken tahini bowl and it was soo good. We also ordered Papaya juice. It was tasty and nutritious!

Received a nice, calming but warm welcome from the gentleman. Wifey and I liked the nirvana vibe. Lots of healthy selections! Today, we enjoyed the Pineapple Express Smoothie and Ranchero Chicken Sandwich in Sourdough bread. The coconut flavor with plant-based whey protein was a perfect thirst-quencher for a Tuesday mid-day brunch. The sandwich hit the spot with the ranchero sauce and cheese. So much more to try on their menu! Gotta return.

CHAI

This is my FAVORITE place to eat, hang out, and study!!!!!!!! Everything on the menu is so healthy and fresh, they use the best ingredients, all organic and no seed oils. BEST CHAI in San Diego, so authentic. The owners and staff are so kind too. This place just has such a cute, happy and positive vibe. Also the menu is so vast, it's almost overwhelming you can get anything from smoothies, breakfast food(all day), healthy pastries and Mexican food! I am here almost everyday I like it that much

Açaí bowl
Mel M.

Really disappointed with this açaí bowl. It was overpriced for the quality, and by the time it arrived it was completely melted and watery. As you can see in the photo, the bowl had turned into a soupy consistency with chunks of ice instead of being thick and frozen like an açaí bowl should be. It seemed like it may have been sitting out in the kitchen for a while before being served or delivered. Definitely not fresh, and not what I expected for the price.

Acai Bowl
Trevor T.

Ordered the Açaí bowl that is blended with organic apple juice or almond or coconut or oat milk. I didn't choose. The cashier just gave me apple juice which is fine. Topped with blueberries and banana along with fresh fruit, coconut, organic granola and honey. They make the açaí sorbet in house which I feel is rare. Really peaceful ambiance with lots of ceiling fans. Wood booths filled with maroon cushions. It was SUPER busy, but my order arrived quickly since most people were ordering big meals. Little did I know that the açaí bowl would be MASSIVE. I couldn't finish it all. I needed to take it home and put it in the freezer to enjoy on a different day. Wow. Just thinking about that bowl I'm full. Ordered to go and was packaged really securely. While I waited I went to the bathroom which was clean and didn't require a code.

$70 for 4 meals. Not busy on a Saturday morning. Friendly staff and food comes out quick. Food is healthy and delicious!

Stopped in for late lunch last weekend, managed to time it accidentally the same time as the street festival. No wait for service, food came out quickly, and was delicious and fresh. We like it for the vegan options, but it's great for a mixed group.

The best!

Came for a leisurely Sunday lunch and will definitely come again!…read more Thanks to Jessica and team for an amazing experience. We had a diverse mix of people across multiple age groups at our table and she was nothing short of fantastic. Questions were answered, recommendations were given, and drinks were never empty. The food matched Jessica's attentiveness. Our crew's meal ranged from the poke bowl to the loaded Cardiff Crack fries (a must, especially for tourists) to kids eats. Everything came out perfect.

We ended up grabbing seats at the bar, which was a great choice. We ordered the: *Fig Burger with Brussels Sprouts: the Brussels sprouts were phenomenal. They had what tasted like pecans, some kind of glaze, and cheese... seriously so good. The Fig Burger itself was just as impressive with such a unique combo and absolutely delicious. *Steak Sandwich with Onion Rings: this was also a standout. Perfectly cooked, super flavorful, and came with a great dipping sauce that really tied it all together. The onion rings were crispy and on point too. First off, I love that they offer a variety of sides (sweet potato fries, truffle fries, mac & cheese, Brussels sprouts, etc.), though most come with a small upcharge. We had a few drinks and even grabbed a bottle of wine from the bar to take back to our Airbnb, which was a nice bonus. The vibe was relaxed with TVs playing highlights from a basketball game, and the bartender/server was awesome. Parking was easy with free street parking, though that might've been because it was late and a holiday. Only heads up: definitely call ahead about kitchen and closing times, especially on holidays. Online said they close at midnight, but they were actually closing at 11 PM. We were told over the phone the kitchen closed at 9:45 PM, but when we arrived at 9:30 PM, it had just switched to last call. Thankfully, they were kind enough to still get our order in. Overall, phenomenal food, great service, and a solid spot worth checking out. Would definitely come back.

We came during lunch, the Italian sub was skimpy on meat and fillings, the falafel burger was just okay, and only the garlic fries were amazing. What really infuriated us: a sneaky 3.95% surcharge fee that popped up out of nowhere on the bill, that was not listed anywhere on the lunch menu. Why insult your guests? If costs are rising, just update the menu prices transparently like a respectable place. Hiding behind a vague surcharge feels deceptive and cheap--it ruined the whole experience. Later we found the surcharge listed at the bottom of the dinner menu. But not on our lunch menu. Are we supposed to scour the menu looking for nonsense fees? My wife was pissed she didn't make a stink about the bill, and will never return. Plenty of better options without these gimmicks. I can't fathom how The Roxy thinks the public likes getting ripped off and feeling foolish. Thanks, Yelp for letting us vent!

As noted by its name, this place served a fusion of Chinese and Korean cuisines. Their Encinitas location took over what used to be a roadside diner along N Coast Hwy 101. The seating capacity was less than 40 people which included a few high-top counter spots. At my last visit, I came for a late dinner before their closing time. A large menu was posted on the wall behind the service counter that listed about two dozen food offerings. The items seemed to be comfort food like pot stickers, spring rolls, fried rice, and chicken wings but flavored with unique combinations of seasonings and spices. I started my meal with the Marinated Beef Tri-Tip Skewers which came as a set of three and a Chinese mustard for dipping. The meat was very tender and well-seasoned. I also ordered the Cumin Lamb Stir Fry which the cashier said was medium spicy. After tasting a couple of bites of the noodles from the serving bowl, I agreed that the heat level was moderate, even for my palate. I thought the portion size should have been more for the price. That was my main criticism for both items, otherwise the food was solid for an Asian fusion eatery.
