I tried the tabouli salad with chicken shawarma. The salad was fresh and had a good amount of chicken. I appreciated that the garbanzo beans are not canned. The hummus is quite creamy. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. This is a quick order type of restaurant where you order at the counter and sit wherever you like. It seems to get busy around lunch. Parking was easy in a shared plaza. Service was okay, but they forgot to add hummus in one of the orders. I came back for it and they did not hesitate to give me hummus. read more

MPH serves quality, authentic Mediterranean food with quite a few vegetarian and vegan options. Most of the menu items are build your own style. I ordered The Wrap with falafel, classic hummus, tahini, and all of the toppings (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, sumac onion, red cabbage, and dill pickles). Wowowow. I really love this place. I could eat the chicken kabob rice bowl every day it is absolutely FIRE. Everything seems really fresh - They throw the side pita back in a rotating oven before giving it to you, sometimes they regrill the chicken too - but even when they dont it's super fresh. I personally have never been able to make chicken taste like that. For walk in take out you get your food pretty quick, usually only 1-2 people in line max. Restaurant isnt really a place you sit down for a nice dinner, definitely more of a takeout restaurant in my opinion (or a quick lunch spot). The portions are almost always massive (one single time I got a bad portion) but its 99% of the time INCREDIBLE portions. I really love this place, the customer service is not very good. The same staff responses give the impression like you a bothering them every time. Their Del Mar location is completely different. I spoke owner about this and had a good conversation about additional training and the challenges of keeping good and friendly face to face good staff. There is just a bitterness that comes across with these two. It is really unfortunate, because the food is good and I really enjoy it. Micheline's is one of my favorite fast service restaurants. It's a pretty casual spot and you can't really go wrong with anything. My go to is usually the fries bowl with beef shawarma. If I'm trying to be healthier, I'll swap the fries for lentils The steak is reheated on the grill just before serving and has a really great flavor. The fries are crispy and hold up really well to all the sauces. The hummus is top notch and there are three flavors to choose from. The toppings and sauces are all great and fresh tasting. Food was delicious -- My low rating is because of the service. I went in on a Saturday evening about 2 weeks ago and the guy preparing our order seemed annoyed with us. It ruined the entire experience. At the beginning of the order, I changed my order from beef to chicken shawarma (before they even started cooking) and he seemed annoyed. His coworker came and asked how she could help with our order and he complained in Spanish (thinking we didn't speak Spanish, but we did..) about how I changed my order from beef to chicken. My husband and I asked to add fries in our wrap. Then when he was packing our orders, he only added the fries to my husband's order and not mine. I didn't even bother pointing this out to him because I didn't want to aggravate him further. Honestly it was so awkward and uncomfortable, we ate there and I couldn't wait to finish and leave. I would understand if he was upset if this was right before closing and we barged in-- but it was not (there were 3 more hours before close). Idk if he is burnt out and there needs to be more staff? But really recommend that the customer service be improved. I am not going to go back to place that made me feel like I was a bother. I can take my business elsewhere. read more

The food was AMAZING. We loved everything we ordered. We could Not get one menu item due to there being a 20 minute wait, but what we did get was terrific (steak instead of kebab meat). Prices were mid range. The food was ready quickly. Only real "complaint" was the single sex restroom that had no soap, which concerned me about other sanitary issues at the stop. Wow! This place was off the beaten path and I did not expect it to be so delicious. We are on vacation in the area and are not familiar with any restaurants. We were heading from Del Mar back to Encinitas where we are staying and stopped at Michelin's Pita House today 4/18. Wow it was so delicious and the two ladies working there were so helpful since we really didn't know what we wanted and I kinda tweaked my order a little bit. I didn't want my Greek salad made with spring mix and she was happy to oblige by adding Romain hearts and iceberg for my request. That salad was huge and loaded with cucumbers, olives, red peppers, tomatoes, onions and feta cheese. It also came with pita chips which I did not eat. I also ordered a chicken kebab on the side and the chicken was amazing so tasty and not dry at all. My husband got the ground beef kebab with a chicken kebab and he loved his sides which were rice, hummus and grilled vegetables. We also split a side of Greek fries. Everything was amazing. Maybe the fresh gyro carving would have been warm and not as dry. The steak was warmed up but was a little over done. The falafels were deep fried on the spot and had a nice outer crunch. I was a bit thrown off by the beans on rice for a Mediterranean spot. It took a while for people to get their orders. There were other staff members but mainly one guy handling a majority of the orders. Been coming here for years, the food is the highest quality and so fresh. I usually get the rice bowl and alternate between gyro and chicken kabob, but lately have been trying the Greek salad and I'm addicted. The kabobs are so flavorful and tender, I love their red cabbage it's a bit pickled in flavor and adds such a good bite. Tzatziki is my go to. I've had the pita sandwich which is delicious as well. I have been to Micheline's on several occasions, and for the most part it serves reasonably good Mediterranean-style food. I have always found staff friendly and even willing to give a bit extra of this or that on the side. Last time I was there, for example, I asked about getting a bit of baba ganoush on my wrap, and the woman serving it added it without charging me. Small things like this make this spot worthy of my patronage. As a place to actually sit and eat, it's a bit basic and loud, but I've enjoyed pleasant and leisurely lunches at this spot. Where I would like to see it improve, however, is in the food offerings themselves. As this kind of cuisine goes, it is competent. The ingredients are good, so no complaint there. That said, the sauces and sides are OK, but a bit coarse. The meats that go into pitas, wraps and plates might be better seasoned; they are occasionally a bit dry. Both my wife and I, when eating here, agree: almost, but not quite. In sum, while I like Micheline's, I think I would characterize it as a "beginner's" eastern Mediterranean locale. It's a good place to go if you are unfamiliar with these tastes and flavors. But for someone more accustomed to these dishes, I think he or she would wonder why it couldn't be a bit better? read more

I've been to the La Jolla location a few times, but this one is more conveniently on the way home from work for me so I decided to stop by. It definitely didn't disappoint. Parking is abundant so you don't ever have to worry about that and there's plenty of tables and seating inside as well. I ordered my usual gyros sandwich with a side of fries and it was as good as always. The meats were well seasoned and the woman helping me made sure that she packed my sandwich with all of the toppings that my heart desired. This is the second location I've frequented. I usuall go to the La Jolla location when I go into the office. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant was clean. I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Salad which is my favorite and it did not disappoint one bit. I also ordered a side of pita to go along with it.
