Always always a treat when getting coffee from Local Joe. The service never disappoints, the coffee is bomb and strong, and I absolutely love the gyros!!! My usual order is the Audrey Hepburn, so so good!! The coffee shop can get really busy but the workers manage to still deliver the best drinks and food. Their pastries are delicious too, I've tried the banana bread and wow, so soft and the moisture, so yummy!! Love that they offer merch, support local, and have a good amount of outdoor seating!
SOOOO GOOD!! Came here for a quick caffeine kick and a place to study, and with my large Thai tea containing 4 espresso shots, I was on a roll!! My sister got an Audrey Hepburn which tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Our total for both coffees was only 13 bucks, which in this economy, I found quite amazing. Overall, it had a nice ambience, sweet workers, and great coffee.
Grateful to have a local coffee shop right in Ho'opili! This time around my wife and I went and a jog around our neighborhood and last minute decided to stop by Local Joe's for a quick bite to eat. Fortunately, we stopped by Local Joe's to have their burrito and a latte. The staff was kind and friendly, as always. Of course, I recognize faces in the area while there. After getting our food and drinks, we sat down and enjoyed our time together. We had our daughter and goldendoodle with us, but it didn't seem to be a bother to anyone. Local Joe's has a great ambiance to enjoy your coffee. Thank you, Local Joe's. Let's support local!

Was looking for a late morning caffeine pick me up and I have been lifted up in so many ways. High ceilings, local art lining them and great service. Thanks Ola! This is a super cute coffee cafe, that have a bunch of fun flavor combinations and are reasonably priced. I got the French toast ice latte with cold foam. The best part of the drink was they offer fun pics to put on the foam. You scan the WR code, pick any pic from your phone. You will get a number. Before picking up your drink let the barista know the number and it goes in a cool machine and you end up with such a cute detail! I only gave 4 stars as I felt the coffee was a little biter. I also wish they had a low fat milk options as I cannot drink milk substitutes.
Local Joe is such a cozy little coffee spot tucked away in a residential area of Hopili. It's not a huge chain like Starbucks and because of that it feels much more personal and welcoming. The space is small but clean and has very comfortable vibe. I usually stop by for a drink (sometimes with a salmon bagel) and then take it over to the nearby playground where my kid can play. They have a latte art printer what could print any picture on your latte. They once did it for me for free, and it was such a cool surprise. The staff is friendly and helpful. I asked about the pumpkin latte and they were honest enough to say it was on the sweeter side, so I skipped it. I ended up with a chai latte instead, and appreciated that they offered the option to make it less sweet. They also have milk alternatives if you need them. There are a few tables inside if you want to sit down, plus a couple outside. The outside ones are cozy, but since they're right by the road, it's not the best option if you have a little one running around. There is no official parking and technically there are "no parking" signs nearby, but everyone just stops quickly to grab their coffee. Overall, a friendly local spot with good drinks, thoughtful staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
The best coffee I have tried on the island... white chocolate mocha with oat milk. The flavor is delish and not bitter. I add an extra shot because I like my coffee strong! Service was great and quick. Seems like a local shop, but small with some outside seating (approx. six tables). I try to support local coffee shops always! Cheers!
The free wifi gives it 5 stars. I looked on Yelp and it said the popular drink was the Toast latte? I didn't care for it unfortunately - it just tasted like a burnt coffee.... But I sampled another drink (White Chocolate Mocha) and this was really good! Since this is definitely farther from where I usually traverse too I also sampled the Strawberry Matcha Latte and that was delicious as well. I would definitely come back, the seating area outdoors was very relaxing. This was a very nice place to relax and chill. I am a fan. If I'm ever in the area again I'll make it a point to stop by again. Service was fast and kind, and it seemed to get pretty packed with lots of people lining up. This is the place to go for drinks in Ewa!
It's time for a review update! ***If you order hot food, expect a wait, or best to order ahead online!*** Local Joe West's kitchen is small as it shares spaces with their espresso machine and drink ingredients. There tends to be a bottleneck if customers order food at the same time. Keep that in mind if you're in a hurry. Even a simple slice of banana or mango bread may require a wait as they require oven time too. The slices are made so you have to heat them in the oven. Drinks alone come out in a reasonable amount of time. Even with the wait times, I still enjoy grabbing coffee or a light breakfast from here. Their iced vanilla lattes still have that simple goodness I've enjoyed at their flagship Chinatown location. Many of the drinks are reasonably priced. Don't sleep on their monthly special of coffee, matcha, non-caffeinated drinks, and food items! What really compelled me to update my Yelp review was the amazing customer service my husband and I received last week. We ordered one of their July specials, their Palms Meets Pines. I posted the drink on my Instagram and tagged Local Joe's. About a couple hours later and after we left the shop, the owners saw that the drink seemed to be missed espresso, so they refunded us! The owners didn't have to do that, knowing that small businesses aren't easy or inexpensive to run, but they did! I really enjoyed the other July special we ordered, the Island Gold. You can try to order past special drinks, but they may require extra time and additional fees. Support your local Ho'opili coffee shop and coffee roaster!

For reference on how hidden it was, my friends and I who live in Ewa Beach didn't hear about this place until earlier this year! It's now slowly becoming my weekly breakfast/lunch spot, especially when I need a kick of caffeine to keep me awake during the weekday. I work within walking distance so it's awesome that this place is close by! Out of all the iced espresso drinks I've tried, I like the white chocolate mocha drink the best. I tried it both iced and blended, and I think I prefer it blended because maybe it reminds me of a frappuccino from Starbucks. Price wise, it's similar to other cafes and that includes Starbucks itself. Instead of hitting up Starbucks, just support local! They even have an order ahead system on their website that's very convenient to use. As a side note, know that parking is not just limited to what's in front of the cafe. Drive past the cafe and take an immediate right to see parking stalls that are specifically for Local Joe customers!
Ambiance- 5 stars Food and drink- 5 stars Service- 3.5 stars I visited this coffee shop yesterday after my morning workout and this made me want to habitually discover a new coffee shop every Wednesday ! First, this spot is located on the corner of Ho'omohala and Nana Hope street near the Ho'opili community. Btw, this area blew up! Such a family friendly and cute neighborhood! Second, there is no designated parking for this coffee shop so you will have to find somewhere on the street to park. Beware, there are nparking signs across the street that indicate "No parking " so be sure to pay attention to signs. They tow! Third, the service was slow because there are only two baristas who worked as efficiently as they could so I wouldn't come here if you're in a rush to go somewhere. I ordered a large, French toast hot latte and their breakfast burrito that came with a small container of salsa. Everything was delish and believe that nothing went to waste after the calories I burned at the gym. Hehe. The French Toast latte brought back memories and felt like I was holding the season of Fall in a cup of:) Definitely recommend that you check it out if you're a coffee fan. Local Joe West is located in the Ho'opili community in Ewa/Kapolei. They have a nice little shop nestled in the corner of The Element condo units. French toast latte, matcha latte, and mango bread are all great! I'd also recommend trying their weekly specials on the menu if you can. Also, if you order your hot latte or coffee for here they serve it to you in a nice mug which you'll return when you're done. 4-5 dedicated parking stalls marked for Local Joe's in the Element parking lot right next to the shop. Stopped in for coffee before a showing at Uluwehi. Got the caramel macchiato on ice. It taste good, but be warned. It's on the sweeter side. I love the vibe in this tiny little coffee shop and they have outdoor seating great place for little meetings or a little dates too. read more

Decided to make a last minute online order since we were near by. Easy to retrieve our order. Just walk in and tell them you have an online order and they will get it to you. They were really busy with walk-in customers, so they were still trying to make our order after the stated pick up time. I got the iced strawberry matcha, which I really enjoyed. It was just the right amount of matcha flavor which paired with the slight sweetness of the strawberry flavor. For me it was 10/10!!! My boyfriend got the Vietnamese cold brew, which he didn't really care for much 3/10. For him, there was not much sweetness to it even though there was sweetened condensed milk in it. I think it's because it's a cold brew, which made the flavor a little off. For breakfast we shared the breakfast burrito. It was very flavorful, and enough for us to share. It was about the length of an iPhone 14 Pro Max. It had the right amount of saltiness from the bacon and creaminess from the feta cheese , cheddar cheese and eggs. The tator tots made everything come together. We will definitely be back to try other drinks read more

Finished my walk around the neighborhood and walked on over to get my caffeine fix. As someone who has social anxiety it was refreshing that the staff was really friendly and social. I asked the cashier what her fav drink was and she recommended the French Toast Latte and thats exactly what I got. No regrets at all. This just might be my new post morning walk spot. read more

I ordered their seasonal drink, maple spiced matcha latte, and I enjoyed the fall flavor. The latte was crafted well; it didn't taste milky and the tea quality in the drink was strong enough but not too overpowering where it drowns out the rest of the flavor. I also got an apple crumble that was at the counter which I also enjoyed eating. This was my third visit there and I'm always satisfied with the lattes I get. Pumpkin pie latte is a regular menu item fyi for those who also enthuse about seasonal things! read more
Staying near home this sister-Saturday brunch since everywhere is gonna busy this last weekend before Xmas. From my home, Local Joes is just 3-miles away but it took us a little longer to get there because I made a mistake by driving past Kamakana Alii. Local Joes is located at the corner of The Elements apartment complex near the UH West parking lot for the Skyline. Love this location and making the turn onto Nana Hope St to see little bistro tables outside. Just what we wanted, a nice, quiet and shaded cafe to enjoy brunch. Turn into the parking lot for Elements and there will be four parking spaces allocated to Local Joes. If you can't find parking there. Street parking is available a half-block away and a quick walk. Upon entering the establishment, you'll be greeted by the helpful cashier. They have a great selection of coffees, lattes and teas both hot or iced. While waiting for your order to be completed, just relax and enjoy the quiet neighborhood, the cool quiet breeze outside, or enjoy looking at the art hanging in the cafe that you can purchase. Artwork is affordable and done by local artist kick starting off their career. Also, pet gear also for sale. I believe my sister got a mocha latte while I got an iced matcha drink. My sister enjoyed her lamb gyro. The portion was actually large. A server came out to see how we were doing and if we wanted water. We learned that she was the one that assembled the gyro and put only a little bit of the balsamic dressing but a lot of the feta cheese which was great because the pita didn't get soggy when she ate the rest for dinner. I enjoyed my turkey pesto on ciabatta. Both items came with a bag of chips. If you live in town and want to be a little adventurous, take the Skyline. Exit Station 2 - Keone'ae - UH West. Walk a city block towards the residential area. At the first intersection (no traffic light), go right on Nana Hope St. you can't miss Local Joes at the corner. Look forward to coming back before this area is fully developed and super congested. read more

Local Joe hit the spot. I've been wanting to try a good coffee spot other than Island Vintage near Ko Olina. I ordered an Iced French Toast latte with 1 xtra shot + Half/Half ($8). Price was very reasonable compared to what I pay out in Cali. The espresso was strong, just the way I like it! I liked the flavor, but want to definitely try another next time. I will definitely be coming here more than once. read more

Great Spot for coffee, the drinks are amazing and the service is kind and friendly. The spot is on the corner and located in the Element housing complex. It's so good we have been back 3 times in a week. I love fresh roasted coffee and you can taste it. Better than the tasteless other coffee shops not gonna mention any names. Local Joes is a Must stop by and get excellent and Quality coffee, Tea and a bite to eat. Great Service and Quality Coffee. Located in Kapolei across the Street from UH West Oahu campus. They also have outdoor seating where you can sip on great coffee and pastry's and breakfast and lunch bites. read more

Super disappointed in this matcha latte that I ordered. It is literally all milk and no matcha. Mine tasted like milk with condensed milk inside. I was so excited to try this place out to be let down. My finance also got a strawberry matcha that tasted just like strawberry milk. Paid $13 for two drinks... could've went to Walmart to buy a gallon of milk for $6 instead, if I knew I was just getting milk for a drink. I wanted matcha so bad today that we just drove over to Sage Creamery to satisfy my matcha and coffee craving instead. Sorry I would not come back. read more

Awesome little coffee shop! The roast and brew their own stuff which is awesome because we could taste the quality. It was slightly busy on a Thursday morning but the line moves fast. There's not much parking so we double parked outside and it wasn't an issue. Service was friendly and the coffee was strong. We were on our way to brunch so we did not get to try the house made bagels! Seriously, they make them one by one and look so good. Decided to make a quick coffee run to start our day. I had a hard time deciding between the Royal Hawaiian mocha and the pumpkin pie latte. The lady helping me had suggested the Royal Hawaiian Mocha. The coffee flavor came through still strong in the background of all the sweetness of the chocolate and caramel flavors. It was a little too sweet for my taste but still enjoyable. I got my son a keikiccino. This was perfect for him as he wanted a drink just like mom. It was a steamed milk and you can add different syrup flavors to it. We went with white chocolate and macadamia nut. He was so excited to have his own fancy drink. The flow of people was constant but they were great at getting orders out as quickly as possible. There isn't much seating inside but there were some tables right outside to enjoy your beverages. There was a couple parking stalls in the Element specifically for Local Joe customers also. read more

Good service, but kind of a confusing coffee menu explanation. And the coffee pour over itself was pretty weak surprisingly. Not the best if you like actual coffee. In terms of flavored iced coffee, it's decent. Prices are a bit higher than expected but ok. Few indoor seating tables and about five tables outside. Good parking lot and street parking. read more

While visiting town, a group of us were on the search for the best Matcha Lattes (Iced) and stumbled upon this spot. It was one of my favorites of the trip but the real reason I am writing this review is because of the service. We were greeted right when we walked in and enjoyed the conversation with Jessica and the others working there. We went back another time! First time trying local joe for breakfast which was just a short 5 minute walk from our house. We ordered the french toast latte and breakfast burrito, which were both pretty good. The latte was good and had notes of maple and cinnamon which made it taste just like a french toast. The burrito took 30 mins to make, which they informed us about when we ordered but we didn't mind the wait. It was a good size and was shareable between me and my fiancé. We both thought it was good but nothing really special- the bacon wasn't crispy and there was barely any tater tots in it. Overall it was a pretty good breakfast with lots of dog friendly patio seating, and we would probably return to try something else next time. read more

I love Local Joe in Hoopili. Honestly, much better than the Downtown location. It's cleaner and newer and much more relaxing. The staff at Hoopili are much more friendly and bubblier. The coffee is good and strong just like how I prefer. read more

Pastries were delicious. I love Guava and the guava strudel was delicious !! Breakfast croissants with bacon, egg and cheese was also delicious. The Hawaiian mamaki tea was as one I've never tried before. But it takes about 4 minutes to brew. I believe all of their teas are brewed upon order so keep that in mind if u are in a hurry for your order. Come in at her special times and get discount on your order m-f from 12-2!!! Parking is just going to be parallel on the street for me. In and out!! read more

I love the ambiance. The inside was beautiful. It was my first to try the place. Me and my friend got lost the GPS giving me a different route. So we called and she explained it to us.
