Dang cha is my new favorite place for a sweet drink pick me up during work lol. I've been here a couple times now and have enjoyed my experiences as well as the drinks I've tried. First, it's a little hard to find. You can't see it from the hwy and need to drive slowly around a building to get to the second row of warehouses, where dang cha is on the second floor. There is a large parking lot, but it's pretty full and a little confusing. The ordering system is also a little different, but it keeps the walkway more clear I guess. I also didn't particularly like that I had to hunch over to talk to the cashier through the little window, but that's minor. The first time I came, I got the mango matcha which was excellent. It had mango bits and wasn't too sweet. The second time I got a sandwich and a coffee drink. I like that they offer some food options and the banh mi I ordered was surprisingly good!! I got it with the house sauce which I think had mushrooms in it. It was like no other banh mi I've ever had. In a good way. Inside they have like 2 small tables. It's cute inside but I think id rather take my drinks to go since it's a little cramped inside. The best part about this place is that the owner /cashier is so nice! However, I have food sensitivities and when I asked about the ingredients, the worker taking my order didn't give confident answers and didn't bother to verify them in any way. I was looking forward to trying Dang Cha by Couture and ordered the pandan lotus tea. The flavor itself was actually really nice and tasteful, but the drink was a major letdown because of the ice. More than half the cup was filled with ice, so after only about four sips the drink was basically gone. It felt like I paid for mostly ice instead of actual tea. I really really want to looooooove this place but like many of the other reviewers, there's just too much ice and whenever I order a coffee drink, it's not filled to the top. The flavors of the drinks are indeed amazing - I enjoy the peanut butter coffee because it's not too sweet. But if you're gonna use that much ice, maybe do smaller chunks of ice like Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf so it melts faster and gives a bit of an illusion that our drinks are lasting even a minute longer? I wish I could gatekeep this place but they deserve the recognition. Dang cha by couture nails opened up above their nail salon and I'm impressed! Service is all friendly faces and drinks are made well. If other reviews haven't stated, you order at the window and then grab your drink inside on the right. There are a few seats inside if you want to enjoy it there. The wicked matcha was good, very strong!! None of the white green matches you might get at other places. Although it was pretty thick and I'm pretty sure I could've finished it in like 3 sips. My friend enjoyed her milk tea and it was pretty reasonable at that price. Best Coffee on the island! Been trying local spot every visit to Oahu, all were pretty good but the Coconut coffee and peanut butter coffee I had were spectacular. You order thru an outside window and they have a little seating seat where you pick up the drinks inside. There was an about 3 parties ahead of us while ordering. The vietnamese coffee is delicious and the coconut took it even further. My wife ordered the peanut butter coffee. We never had peanut butter coffee and we are glad to we tried it at Dang Cha. Stopped by Dang Cha around 4:15 PM on a Saturday and there was already a line going down the stairs to order at the window. It looked like there were only two people working -- one taking orders and also running orders to neighboring businesses, while the other was making the food and drinks. It took about 20-25 minutes to get through the line, but my drink itself was ready within just a few minutes of ordering. I think the longer wait was mainly because there were a few large parties ahead of me, plus the employee was making deliveries to nearby businesses. They would deliver an order, come back to the register for change, and then head back out, so it definitely slowed things down. I ordered the Couture Special in a medium, which came out to $9.70 with tax. The drink was really good! One helpful thing to know is that the menu lists the price for the 12 oz/small size, and when it says there's a $2 upgrade, they're referring to the size upgrade. There is a parking lot, although the area can be a little busy. The shop itself has a cozy waiting area with a few chairs and stools where you can sit while waiting for your drink. Overall, I enjoyed my drink. Just be prepared for a potentially longer wait during busy times, especially if there are large groups ahead of you. read more

Saw a story on Instagram and found out is just up the road from my place. Their matcha is consistent good and I end up finishing it before I can get back to my place. You order at the outside window then go inside to wait for your drink/food. There's not much seating. There two, two seat tables and two seats by the window. It s small space so if you want to stay there, hopefully there's open seats. The Cro-mi is a MUST! It's basically a banh-mi in a croissant. It is definitely my go to. I have tried their strawberry matcha and the mango matcha. I prefer strawberry matcha but the mango is just as good. Will be back to try their other matchas. read more

It's Matcha time... Dang Cha by Couture keeps popping up on my feed and since I was in the area I'd thought to check it out though navigational was going its best to guide me I was completely lost as it took me to building (Stuart Plaza) that didn't have any such biz listed so I continued to drive down the driveway which had another building in the back and there it was on the second floor Dang Cha by Couture. Now I understand the concept as Couture is the nail salon on the ground floor which opened Dang Cha upstairs so they also cater to their guest who wants tea and delivers it to them downstairs which is so very cool to have. When you walk upstairs I was instantly greeted that they will be with me at the takeout window only to realize that you're able to order inside as well and have a seat on a few tables they have set up inside is nice to see as well. With obvious clients at the salon as well it seems to keep them quite busy which is nice and after a short wait I decided to order their Strawberry Matcha which they make the strawberry sauce themselves is nice to hear but what a generous scoop of strawberries versus matcha but it was nice and not too sweet but wished I had more matcha though I did enjoy the flavor as it did pair well together. They do have such a massive menu but luckily I stuck to my favorite item and they didn't disappoint is nice to have the option on this side of the island now that I know where it is and yes it's worth the visit with lots of free parking it's a easy place to find your usual and many other to enjoy as well. Tried Dang Cha by Couture after seeing it on Instagram! My boyfriend ordered the Peanut Butter Coffee, which he enjoyed and in his words, "hits like a truck" in a good way, as they used Vietnamese coffee. I ordered the Peachy-Peach which is basically a Peach Iced Tea, and it was very refreshing, perfect for the warm weather. They added slices of calamansi in there too which added to the flavor depth: sweet (peach), sour (calamansi) and a bit bitter (tea). Service was fast and accurate. Ambiance was quiet and chill. If you're a Vietnamese coffee lover then you need to try Dang Cha! For some reason I got lost getting here using maps but when you see the building, drive down into the parking lot. There's tons of parking which is nice. It's above the Couture Nails & Spa and if you get your nails done, they bring the drinks to you which sounds amazing. I went for the Couture special which is their Vietnamese coffee and cold foam on top. It's different from your typical Vietnamese coffee but it was really good and strong. The cafe has a few seating available and the interior is cutely decorated. They offer other drinks like smoothies and matcha. I'll have to go back to try their matcha but I'm a bit picky so we'll see how it is. If you're in the Aiea/Pearl City area, this is a great addition to the area for your coffee/matcha fix! read more

Hearing that Dang Cha was a dupe for Phin Smith in Las Vegas, it was a no brainer to check this place out while we were on Pearl City side. They have an ample parking lot that's shared with other businesses. They're located on the 2nd floor and you can either order outside or inside but they'll tell you to wait inside for your drinks. We got the Matcha Tofu and the Peanut Butter Coffee and enjoyed both very much! The Matcha Tofu kind of reminded me of 豆腐花 (Chinese tofu pudding) and I 100% would get this one again! I hate to give a subpar review because I loved their coffee and I love supporting small local businesses. I've tried their coconut coffee, Signature, strawberry smoothie, and white coffee. It's the most authentic phin-type Vietnamese coffee I've had like in the mainland and it's strong! The taste and quality is 5/5 Ive just noticed out of the three times I've gone, the amount I've gotten has been less and less. In the pic was when my husband picked up my white coffee while I waited in the car with the kids. He said he asked if this was the right amount (and he is not at all an assertive/aggressive type) and all he was told was "that's the correct amount" and just walked away with it. But for a $8.75 16oz coffee.. as a customer that's not satisfactory to me and is a huge turn off in terms of service. It was so good but I finished it pretty quickly when I hardly ever order/finish a Starbucks grande which is also 16 oz. The previous time I went I was with my kids and I ordered a white coffee and strawberry milk. When I received my order I got a strawberry milkshake. It was good but not what I ordered.. I'm not even sure if I got charged more/less but decided not to say anything just because it didn't want to make a big deal about an innocent mistake. read more

I wanted to see what the whole hype was about and I've been on a really crazy strawberry Matcha crave. Sadly, this one was the most disliked one of all. I mean, I hate to say it because the workers are so friendly and try to move so fast but I'm trying to rate the flavor of it all. The strawberry - feels like a natural strawberry purée, but not sweet enough yet. I feel like for a small cup. They put way too much. The cup is filled with a lot a lot a lot of ice, and I'm given a small amount of oat milk with a strong amount of Matcha. With that much ice in there, it was so hard to stir because when I sipped my drink, I was getting everything in its own layers without being able to drink it combined. I also ordered a blueberry bagel with cream cheese, and when I took it downstairs to enjoy in my vehicle, it was already hard and inedible. The ambience of the whole place was very cute and pretty however when they told us to wait inside, I feel like there was something wrong with the AC because it was really hot and everybody in there was fanning themselves. read more

This is a cute little hole in the wall and coffee shop. It is located upstairs in a little marketplace right in the bottom of Pearl City. They are amazing and knowledgeable about your menu and the staff is very friendly. We tried the Vietnamese coffee and the strawberry matcha and they both were delicious. We just recently went back for the banana matcha and it was just as good. We definitely love this hole in the wall and recommend anyone looking for a new place in Pearl City to come check it out. I've been coming here since they opened and have always loved their Vietnamese coffee. Unfortunately, the last two times I've ordered a medium, the cup has been noticeably underfilled. I assumed the first time was a mistake, but after it happened again, it seems to be a recurring issue. I ordered a peanut butter coffee and strawberry matcha. She said to come into the cafe and relax while I wait for my drinks. Walked in and it was beautifully decorated and colorful! It's the perfect size and absolutely delicious! The char siu, mayo, pickled carrots and daikon, fresh jalapeños, cucumber, and cilantro all come together perfectly inside that buttery croissant. Every bite is so satisfying. I even grabbed my daughter the ham and cheese croissant, and she loved it too. It was warm, savory, and just as delicious. They also have an awesome menu with something for everyone, including a variety of matcha drinks, teas, milk teas, smoothies, and fun sodas with jelly, so even if coffee isn't your thing, you'll definitely find something you'll love. What really makes this place special, though, is the people. Every time I've gone in, they've been so friendly and welcoming, and they actually remembered me.
