A local bar on the little Main Street in Tucker. Service is fine, not great. I came for drinks and some appetizers with friends. They have a pretty good beer selection with many local taps and some in bottles. The outstanding snacks of the night were the buffalo pimento cheese dip and the tater tots! The pimento tasted great but clearly hadn't been brought out when it was fresh because it was luke warm. Nothing great, nothing awful. Had lunch here today with my husband and we enjoyed it. We're vegetarians, so it was nice to see a variety of vegetarian options on the menu (including buffalo cauliflower wings and the Impossible Burger). We split an appetizer order of the buffalo cauliflower wings and the veggie wrap. The cauliflower wings were really good and honestly a treat for any vegetarian. The veggie wrap was just okay. Overall the vibe in the restaurant was comfortable and fun but it gets crowded fast. Would definitely visit again if we're on this side of town. read more

I had chicken fingers and they were juicy and delicious. My co- lunch partners enjoyed their burgers. The server resembled a skateboarder with skull cap and tattoo's, but the hat covered up his head hence his hygiene was questionable. I've been to Local 7 many times and always loved the food. Tonight my husband ordered the French dip, the meal he always gets. The sandwich came out cold and with half the meat it normally has. The aujus and fries were cold as well. We watched the line cook place his hand on the food when our waiter handed it back. Two minutes later, here comes the EXACT SAME TRAY. DISGUSTING. We will never be back. Sad to see how much they do not care. We had been excited about their new BBQ place when it opens but will mark that off the list as well. read more

I love Local 7 and the added vitality that it brings to Main Street. The atmosphere is great, and the food rarely disappoints. The service has always been great and nothing but friendly and attentive. The only reason I did not give five stars is that I feel it is a tad pricey drinkwise for Tucker. Yes, comparable to in town restaurants, but we're not in town. Also, kids meals do not come with a drink, which is rare for a restaurant. For a $5 kids meal and then add a drink, it almost adds up to an adult entree. read more

Had dinner with friends last night at 7pm and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. They've been there before, this was my first time. I had the Fried Green Beans, which were great with the Tempura batter and dipping sauce, and Fish and Chips. The food is mainly bar food and I enjoyed what I ate. The service was attentive and friendly which is better than I can say for where I had lunch earlier in the day. Have eaten here about 5 times and every time has been right on the money! I usually get the Build Your Own Burger with fries and it's been delicious every time. That garlic aioli!!! My husband raves about the smoked wings with white BBQ sauce. I've also had the chicken salad sandwich and it was the best I've had anywhere. I usually order a takeout order and they've always been very friendly and upfront about the wait time on busy Friday nights. I don't mind waiting as long as I am informed upfront. I have been coming to Local 7 for years. I've written positive reviews previously because I've considered this my hometown place. My kids love it, enough said. So.. tonight I headed there to see a football game. I asked and the game was put on. Yay. 15 minutes later, the bartender comes to me and tells me that another table sat down and requested another game and too bad, we're changing it. Now, he could have been the slightest apologetic. It's always a toss up going to a bar as a vegetarian because usually you're stuck with a frozen veggie burger or a salad. BUT the local 7 has a delicious veggie panini which roasted veggies and mozzarella to die for. I'm also a fan of their veggie wrap and tator tots. I always get the Boiler Maker, which is a great price for a pint of yueng ling and a shot. Service is really good 95% of the time, and trivia nights are always fun! read more

I dropped in on a Saturday evening around seven and was disappointed. While not packed like some of the midtown bars, I wasn't the only person there. I was seated immediately but waited fifteen minutes for a menu. After another ten minutes, the waitress came back and took my order of a beer and wings. The beer came after another ten minutes and was certainly not cold. The wings came another five minutes later. After the food was quite literally dropped off, a member of the wait staff was never to be seen again. In fact, I had to go outside and walk around before a check showed up. In short, the atmosphere, location, and food and drink selection are good but, the management needs to address basic service before I'll be back. read more

Great Tucker local spot. The food is good but the service is fast. The menu is lacking in healthy alternatives but mostly normal pub food. I had a garden salad which was really good. I was super excited to get a new lunch place in Tucker, since I work there and have exhausted all the surrounding restaurants - Their menu although simple is quite boring for those of us who planned on stopping by on a weekly basis. There are no daily "specials"... On another note - I went in for lunch with 4 other people around 1 pm - we all ordered very simple meals and at 45 minutes we were still waiting on our food. A place that is wanting to serve a business lunch crowd needs to be able to move customers in and out. Not to mention, no manager stopped by our booth to apologize or offer us a little appetizer while we waited...nor did anyone offer to do a little discount to our bill for the wait. From start to finish we were there for an hour and 15 mins and our bill was chicken fingers, a BLT, Burger, and 2 French dips... after eating the food I know there is NO way that it took that long to cook our order. So disappointing. and I second the review about the root beer floats. FILL UP THE CUP WITH ICE CREAM! I can go right down the street to sheridans where their floats are cheaper and have more ice cream! read more

Heard from several folks who like the restaurant. We were not impressed at all. Chicken was overcooked & dry (hard to swallow). Steaks were not cooked as ordered. Tater tots were mushy and not crisp. A great place for American pub fare in downtown Tucker. Cuban sandwich is one of the best in Atlanta. Would also recommend the sweet potato fries. The fried basket appetizer with a mix of jalapeños and pickles is very good. Nice outdoor seating. They have an arcade game to keep the kids occupied. Service has always been prompt. read more

Went again on a Thursday night and it was unexpectedly packed! The staff said the farmers market down the street had brought in a lot more folks than usual. We had to wait for about 20 minutes to sit at a table inside which is much more interesting that the seating outside. The outside seating on the side of the building is on wood picnic tables and under fans and is not inviting. It does afford you a front seat to the passing trains. The bar is nice. The staff was hurried and sparse that night but the bartender has eyes in the back of his head and took our orders at our table that we had to claim for ourselves. The staff was looking out for us but there should be an official waiting list when the restaurant is busy. The fried artichoke hearts were fantastic and are recommended! I had the yummy sliders and my table mates enjoyed their tacos. The bartender really saved the day with his service! read more

A fun local spot with a rotating beer selection. Most of the food is typical bar food but done just a bit better than similar bars. When they have a special from the smoker, I recommend giving that a try (brisket, ribs), otherwise the patty melt, burger, and BLT&A (avocado) are our sandwiches of choice (with tots as the side). Wow, so glad I stopped into this place! We live less than a mile away, and we always drive by wishing we could stop in. Finally we had time to give it a go. Very pleased that we did. The interior of the establishment is very hometown, local bar feel - like a delightfully downgraded TacoMac if that makes sense. It had all of the pleasures that a large sports bar can afford, with a personal feel. You can seat yourself in any of the large booths or tables. The place is well lit but cozy. You can see the bartender greeting and chatting with regulars, and that was quite wonderful. Made me want to continue coming here. Beer selection wasn't too bad - definitely not what I would consider top notch, but there were a few crafts beers for decent prices and a couple on tap. Food selection was also pretty good - your standard bar and pub food - burgers, wings, salads, chicken sandwiches, and apparently they have some of the meanest tater tots around. (Can't believe I just said that) I ordered wings and fries, and was told that the wings were jumbo... definitely weren't jumbo in my opinion. To me they seemed a standard size and they only had like three sauce selections. I just got the Buffalo because I don't believe in BBQ or Lemon Pepper on wings, but I couldn't choose mild, medium, hot, etc. It was just one flavor. I was a little disappointed in them because they felt overcooked and crunchy and the sauce was a little boring. The fries were delicious but tricky, they are string fries so in order to feel like you are taking a legit bite, you have to stuff about 12 in your mouth. By the end of five minutes, they are gone. Though the food wasn't my favorite, it seemed like there was enough options left to try that I didn't leave feeling like I wasted my time. I will definitely come back and try other things like the burgers. Too bad the prices are a little high - for the same price I could easily find better tasting wings and a side of fries. You had to add three bucks for fries here. Service was so-so. Our waitress was really nice and helpful, but it wasn't anything super special. I got the feeling that these people really want to create a local (hence Local 7) feel to the place, so maybe will recurrent visits I could develop a better relationship with the location. read more

I really want to love this place. I have been there a handful of times because I live around the corner and like that they have a more varied beer selection. Every time I have been there, it seems whatever I order, they are out of some crucial ingredient of the dish. This has happened more than once...for instance I ordered the tacos and they were out of taco shells. Ok. Kroger is 2 blocks away, go buy some. I went with my parents once, they are vegetarian and was glad to see they had some options for them. Until they were out of those dishes. I will be the first to admit first time I came not impressed at all but the more I come the more I am in love. Moved to Tucker in Nov and was eager to fund a new bar with true local flavor. So far my husband and I have met several amazing locals and became friends with he bartenders. Sundays are great for $10 bottomless mimosas, love coming during the week for the smoked wings or Chipotle barbecue wings. To be honest we have only sat at the bar. read more

We keep going back hoping that things will improve, god knows they have had plenty of time to sort things out. Kitchen and cooks are utterly incapable of preparing orders in an acceptable amount of time. If you have plenty of time, and willing to accept overpriced mediocre food than this is you place. This evening there were only two wait staff on duty. One lady was doing her best, the other was, well lets just say to kind, not effective. Really trying to like this place but came in yesterday with a small group of people and the service was pretty bad. Had to wait for around 2 hours to get our food and the waitress was apparently too swamped to check on us or even update us on our food order. The only saving grace was that the manager comped our food and thoroughly apologized but I didn't plan on spending my entire evening here. I'll definitely be back but it looks like they're going through some growing pains....which is a good problem to have I guess....they just need to adjust a little better for it. read more

This place serves well as a neighborhood pub and restaurant. The friendly wait staff was very efficient and the portions were generous.

Service is good. Booze is good. Food was so so. Air conditioning is not working well on a 101 degree day in the ATL.

Great burgers, a but pricey though. Overall it was a great experience. We sat at the bar, the bartender was very knowledgeable and answered any and all questions we had for him. It's a small restaurant but is usually busy. We will definitely be back for those burgers, they also had a fairly good beer selections. But they also had a huge selection of whiskey! read more
