Ate here for 1st time tonight. We were greeted quickly by our waitress & she brought our drinks & took our order fairly quickly (contrary to what others have experienced). We started with the fried basket (both pickles & jalapenos with ranch dipping sauce). Very tasty. I had the buffalo burger with onion rings & hubby had the patty melt with tots. Both were pretty good altho if his had cheese on it we sure couldn't tell. Don't recall if it was supposed to, but I thought all patty melts do. Their online menu doesn't even list the patty melt as an option so I can't be sure. And it didn't have much of the sauce on it at all. I ordered my burger medium since many places overcook but it was definitely a medium burger. The bottom bun had some blood on it. Bleeecch (& my bad for ordering that way) for me... The tots (twice-fried I think) & onion rings were both very good. Even better dipped in the ranch sauce. If in the area again, we'd give them another shot. I'd likely try the cuban or reuben based on other reviews & hubby would get the french dip sandwich. Very casual place, maybe even a bit divey. Good place to watch a game during football season. This family friendly bar is located by my job and after driving by several times, and after a long day I stopped in for a beer, or two, or three. I decided to get something to eat and tried the Chicharones which were great. I stayed basic with my entree and tried the steak and fries and the steak was marinated and cooked perfectly. I now have a new hangout when work gets late and I need a great meal and adult beverage. Local #7 is my new go to and I can't wait to try the tater tots everyone has been raving about! read more

Local No. 7 is more of a bar than a restaurant though some of the items we tried were pretty good. I liked the beer selection and the appetizer of onion rings was really good. At our table we tried the reuben sandwich which may have been better if it was grilled rather than served on just toasted bread. The steak sandwich had nice flavor but was a challenge to eat on the ciabatta bread with thick slices of stead. The best item we tried was the hamburger so I would definitely recommend sticking to the basics if you are going to enjoy a dinner with some drinks. read more

Ordinarily I would say this place is pretty good. As far as the food goes outstanding however the customer service could use some work. Unfortunately the manager was bothered when I explained to her the portion size differences during lunch vs dinner. This would not have been a problem if I resisted to pay but she was so focused on telling me that the cup size was the right portion that she didn't bother to ask if I'd like to up my size. Discovered this place about a month ago and have been drawn back weekend after weekend. New, clean, cool spot by the tracks. Good beer, good food. The Burgers are spectactular, especially with some of their homemade sauces (No 7, smoky spicy goodness). Service can lag a little, but hey, why be in a hurry as long as you have a good beverage? This is a solid spot. We had the Buffalo Chicharrones! Loved it how they came out still popping fresh with the sauce and blue cheese all over. Chicken tender breading was seasoned really well, and the Siracha garlic chicken wings are hot w tons of flavor. They keep getting hotter, but the sweetness gets you picking up one after another. I didn't like this place the first time I was there and ended up back there and hated it even more. It's 20 something frat boys, lonely heavy set girls and nerdy 40 something men. They have trivia on Friday nights and these people get all excited to win the big green egg grill Enough said. The dorky trivia announcer couldn't even pronounce the names of Grammy award-winning bands in his trivia questions. The wings were just okay and the service was so-so. It's not my kind of crowd. This crowd doesn't seem to get out much. Just a note for bar owners, trivia must be great for those who are into it, but being at a bar on trivia night (not knowing ahead of time) is a miserable experience for those who don't like it. read more

I actually really like the local 7. The food is good and the atmosphere is nice. I have tried a lot of stuff here. Great chicken strips, fried pickles, boiled peanuts (no longer on the menu), and Philly cheese steak. The chilli dog is bad, tried to order nachos once and the server told me not to, the fish is mediocre (tastes frozen). Drinks are very overpriced. read more

My husband and I were very hesitant to visit this place after reading the negative reviews but decided to give it a try anyway. We were pleasantly surprised. The fried pickles were really good. They're made with homemade pickles and served with homemade ranch. We both had a Little Lenny which was pretty good as well. I'd recommend the tots over the fries. The service was attentive and the food came out in a timely manner. It was a Friday night and the place was pretty full. All in all, it wasn't the best food I've ever had, but we both agreed we'd be back. read more

We have been here a few times and each time we have been very pleased with our food and the service. We've tried the pork "wings", scrumptious. I've never had anything quite like these; they were so tender and the Carolina BBQ sauce is yummy. The steak and fries, delicious. The chimichuri served with it is tasty. The french dip is awesome with a great au jus. The wings are pretty good; buffalo is not mild for sure. This place is awesome clean cool atmosphere and the service is fast and the food is HOT! We were on lunch from work so being fast helps. They have pretty good prices and there portions are very generous. For starters we ordered the fried mushrooms&artichokes this came with a chipotle ranch dipping sauce 1 thing I would like to point out is the mushrooms were fresh and you could tell they had not been frozen but made on premises the batter was crunchy and delicious . When you think of bar food you automatically assume most of the fried foods like fried mushrooms are frozen bagged food that is not the case here. For an entree I got the Salmon BLT the (Salmon was cooked perfectly) with the tater tots w/brunswick stew cheese red onions and bbq sauces (I had to try it after seeing every1s reviews on it) what was awesome is that every tater tot was sooo crunchy. I have to give these people 5 stars Now, but I will admit that it took them a bit to get there. In the beginning, they had some awesome dishes, like the filet medallions, but now they are off the menu. However, they now have wraps and their tacos, burgers, and brunswick stew remain is the staple dishes. I like the garlic greens as well. Since there is not much selection in Tucker, this is hands-down the best place to go in the area. The interior brick, garage door than can be opened (like Leons in Decatur) are very nice touches. I hope business owners follow the successful format and investment they have made into this location. I would like to see Main Street in tucker thrive. read more

Total gem! Great pub atmosphere, relaxed, and friendly. The staff gets to know the regulars. The food is really tasty and there's a lot of variety. Picky eaters will have no problem here! I really enjoyed my half cuban and half brunswick stew lunch combo last week. I also ordered a peach bellini and my bill was $14 including the alcohol. I was impressed with the variety of mixed drinks on the menu and the reasonably priced beers. The service was on point and our waiter came to our table several times to check on us. We stopped in for a late lunch based on reviews on Yelp. My husband had Buffalo wings which he said were excellent. My daughter had BBQ tacos and sweet potato fries. She said the tacos were wonderful but she wished she had ordered tater tots like me-though I tasted her fries and they were good. I found the tots to taste just like every other tot I've ever had-nothing special which I was expecting since the tots were highlighted on the menu. However,I ordered the Angus beef sliders that were smothered with grilled onions, mushrooms and cheese-excellent choice on my part. My daughter was happy to see that Bell's Hopslam draft beer on the menu and enjoyed a glass. Service was slow and food could have been warmer-it was obvious it had sat waiting to be served for a while. The room was busy- no empty tables on a Sat. afternoon, so more staff would have been helpful. Our server was extremely busy. All in all, food was great, service slow but a delightful lunch when all was said and done! read more

Grew up in Tucker still live in Tucker, i stop by the Local #7 on my way home from Brookhaven to have a drink and relax sometimes. So when i decided to meet friends there on Saturday to watch the Florida vs TA&M i expected the service and atmosphere to be good as usual, couldn't have been more wrong. The boys got there a few min before me and posted up at one of the high top Tables by the bar. They asked the bartender to turn on the game and he did No problem yet... about 7:30 the other bartender came over and told us the table that had just sat down wanted to watch the Nebraska game and basically oh well we didn't matter, his overall attitude was very rude.... this is not how you act as a bartender and treat your patrons, TV's are first come first serve and btw we are in SEC country... they lost a table that would have been there for at least 3hrs and tipped very well... so if you're looking for a good spot on Saturday to watch CFB head over to Hudson's grill by the target on lavista. I've visited a couple times now and have really enjoyed myself both times. This place definitely fills a niche in Tucker. There's a decent beer list. Prices aren't great, but they also aren't exorbitant. I've only had beer when I've visited, but I've heard some of the mixed drinks are pretty good. The food is very solid for a bar and for the price. The first time I went I had the basic burger, which was very good. Most recently I had the French Dip, which was also very solid. My wife has ordered the Garden Sandwich both times and tells me it's good (I prefer to stick meat-based sandwiches). We enjoyed the fried artichoke hearts as a starter. I wouldn't really call this place a gastropub. More like a traditional bar/grill with good food. Certainly worth checking out if you're in the area. read more

Had a couple of Abita Jockamos here last night to go along with a jalapeno topped burger and some tater tots. Yay tater tots, the superior fried potato format. Although, I have to say that the shoe string fries were also a refreshing choice. Kids liked the slider and hot dog. Wifey had a salad that was pretty decent. Laid back atmosphere and no, it wasn't weird being there with a 4yo and a 1yo. Friendly staff, and they have an old multi-game arcade down the hallway toward the bathrooms. read more

I usually go to the Local 7 for trivia. It's OK. Drinks are reasonably priced and food is decent. Service can be a little slow at times and the building itself is kind of small. But it's a good place to hangout if you're bored and looking for something to do on a Friday night. read more

Local 7 gets 4 stars because most everything I've had has been very good, and I just like going there! My only change would that it was open later, but hey, can't blame them! I also wish the seats had cushions, I guess I'm getting older, but its like they built the seats in a garage. Hey, maybe they did! I started my own business once and saving money every way possibly is hard to do, and necessary to make it! And I'm glad they are still around! Tucker's main street needs 6 more places like it! Their burgers are excellent and always cooked right! Last time I went, the bacon was crisp and broken up with the cheese on top holding it all in place, exactly how a bacon cheeseburger should be! And greasy down to the bottom bun, excellent! And their fries are very good, too! Cooked crispy and thorough, not starchy like the trend seems to be these days. And on the second Saturday evening of each month all summer, there is an excellent car show right in front of it on Tuckers main street! Can't go wrong! read more
