Thai noodle salad with crispy tofu

Stopped by for brunch and to watch the World Cup match. Service was pretty good for being so busy. I got the eggs benny and it was not bad. On the smaller side with the eggs on a single slice of toast, but the potatoes were very good.

This place is great. It's loud and noisy but it's a fun upbeat environment. There is outdoor seating. They even have rain guards and heaters for those rainy days. They had hockey and basketball games on. Full bar. Lots of drink options. The food was delicious. Not one compliant. The Sriracha chicken was spicy but that's exactly what we wanted. The service was amazing. She was on it and answered allll our questions and was so sweet and kind and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Second visit happy hour was great.

The space is big and clean. We were seated quickly both times we visited. The drinks were delicious and the food was great. The edamame I will dream of forever the sauce is 10/10 I even asked if they sell it. Sadly no. My husband got a burger and enjoyed it. My sister got the dumplings they were good. We will definitely have to come back when we visit the area again. The next day we came for happy hour. Again the food was great service was friendly the crispy potato bits were delicious.

We came here for dinner and drinks during a weekend getaway. Night one we loved it so much we returned for Happy Hour the next night. The star of the show, you ask? The Beermosa with pineapple and the Casamigos margarita were amazing! But the tru showstopper is the smoky chili edamame! This app was so good we had to come for round two! We also loved the potstickers and layered potato bites. The Happy Hour menu is the way to go because all our favs were available at discount. Wait staff is fantastic and the ambiance is such a fine vibe.

Amazing spot on a sunny day because the patio is huge and always busy. I ordered a curry rice with prawns and the taste was good, but the rice could be better.

Peral Couscous Salad with blackened chicken

The waitress was great. Very personable and attentive. The ambiance was upbeat with music playing and loud enough for bop to it but low enough to have a conversation. The salad was light but filling and packed with flavors.

Amazing. Sexy. Hygge. Relevant. Fun music. Hockey on TV. Great menu options. Friendly staff. Loved it.

I've been to LOCAL twice and sadly both times the service was EXTREMELY slow and I don't think I'll be going to this restaurant again. At the door it says they open at 10am on weekends, we got there at 10:20am. The restaurant was open but we weren't allowed in because they were waiting for their servers to come in. They had empty tables and had multiple people waiting in line outside. They could have at least let us take a seat and offer some water. We were finally seated after 30 mins (this whole time those tables were empty.) We still had to wait 20 mins for the server to come take our order. Then after another 30 mins of wait our food finally came. Nobody came to check on us after the food was served. The food & drinks are good but is it worth the wait? No. Both times when we visited this restaurant, it looked like they had so many empty tables and we thought we were going to get seated & served right away. It was such a disappointing experience.

We were lucky to get a seat right in front of the tv to watch a Canuck's playoff game after work during the 3rd period. The room was buzzing with Canucks fans. We ordered nachos which were made perfectly and a refreshing sassy sangria crush. Although it was busy, the service did not disappoint. We enjoyed our time here so much that we came back a couple days later for the 2 for 1 Local burger special. Again, it was busy and service was top notch.

The minute and I walked in I knew everything was gonna be better. Had a really rough day at work, and I just wanted to unleash and unravel from the day....I knew the only thing that could make my day right would be to have a delicious cocktail. He gently put the napkin down and i immediately knew my day was about to change. My day went from bleak to on fleek. Not one napkin was dampened in my experience... to know I wasn't a fan of a wet napkin, well done. I could not imagine the attention he gives to anyone else, but if you know Nick, you know he's quick.

    Shrimp, tempura, super delicious!

Barely cooked pastry with a minimal amount of beyond beef, bulked up with black beans of all things. My husband said the roast beef was ok, but the Yorkshire puddings were more like bread. Both our dinners were served lukewarm. Everything was undercooked and under seasoned. I gave 2 stars because the service was good, but I won't be returning. The chef has to know this food is crap.

Their "brunch burger" is a major missed opportunity though... this really should have a fried egg on it. You could possibly add an egg from the ala carte section of the menu, but those cost $3, so you'd be looking at $27 for a burger and a half a cup of fried potatoes. That's insanely expensive. Currently the brunch burger has two small patties which have a tendency to overcook and become dry. My patties were well-done despite me asking for medium - don't even ask if the kitchen can't deliver. Not sure what makes that a brunch burger, but it would be much better if those two patties were combined into one, and a fried egg was added, while staying below a $24 price point expensive burgers in Vancouver. Other restaurants can do it.... Oh, the other disappointing thing is that the card reader defaults to tips at 18, 25, and 28%. Not cool - we already pay servers high wages in BC, tipping should be 10% if not eliminated altogether. 28%? No thanks!
