    Tuna Poke Bowl
    Danielle B.

I went to Rogue last night for a quick bite before a show and was really impressed with the quality of both the food and service, from when we arrived until we finished our meals. We arrived without a reservation but it wasn't needed as this place is huge and had quite a few tables available. We were seated quickly at a nice booth and proceeded to place our order. I had the Tuna Niçoise Salad and my friend had the Tuna Poke Bowl. I was actually torn between these two options so when the food arrived, we both tried each other's meal to see how the two compared. They were both really good but I really enjoyed my salad and much preferred it over the poke bowl. Ironically, the tuna in the poke bowl was much better seasoned than the tuna in the salad, but I just really loved all the other ingredients in the salad more. I think a sprinkle of some flaked salt would have made the salad perfect but there were a few salty components like the olives, to help offset the almost bland flavour of the tuna. It had a perfect sear and I loved the crust on it. The salad itself had a very nice light dressing on it, which surprisingly, I really liked. I'm not normally a fan of salad dressing but this one was really tasty. The restaurant was busy but not at capacity so even though there were a lot of people talking, it wasn't too loud so we could still have a conversation without having to shout at each other. Overall, I would absolutely return and order this dish again and would also order the poke bowl on a future visit.

Rogue bar and kitchen is an amazing restaurant right at waterfront station in downtown Vancouver. It has pretty high ceiling and chandeliers as part of its ambience and great seating and lightning. It gives you a bit of royal experience in a bar. Staff is very nice and accomodating for your order and they keep on checking on you after sometime which is great service. I ordered basil tomato soup with croutons here . It was pretty thick and more like a red pasta sauce with herbs. A few spoons and I was pretty full so it was dense and heavy. I have had lighter soups in the past at other places so this was pretty new to me. I really loved the ambience and service and next time I am going to order something different. It's definitely on the pricey end but not too much as well.

Grilled sirloin and KNIFE AND FORK ARTISAN CAESAR SALAD

Food and service were excellent. Great location! Awesome ambiance with really cool chandeliers and soft lighting. We got the artisanal Caesar salad with capers, garlic & shaved Parmesan and sirloin with asparagus & mashed potatoes. DIVINE from first bite to the last. We were tempted to lick the plates clean...it was THAT GOOD!!! Definitely coming back!!!

Dropped in for a quick lunch as its conveniently located at waterfront station and by gas town. Service was okay, as it took a while to get our bill even when there were only a couple tables seated... Fish and chips - Crispy and light batter on the fish. Chips were also nice and crispy. Portions were massive as well, so can't complain.

We came here for a quick snack after touring the city for the day. The poutine and the flatbread were nothing special but hit the spot for what we were looking for. The service was where everything went wrong. We got seated right away and the waitress took our order. And then after that - nothing. After waiting so long to even get our check, it ended up being another waitress that handled our bill.

Went to catered event. The restaurant was beautiful inside and the bartenders were attentive. The food that I tasted was nicely seasoned and delicious.

Saw the reviews, surprised with the result. I was walking around Gastown at night, got hungry and testing my luck by having my dinner here. Ambiance was unique kinda reminds me New York bars. Food? To be perfectly honest, pretty awesome. I love the bacon burger, the flatbread and the chicken tenders! Dumpling's pretty interesting too. Service was good enough, I think this place is really good for friends and family (not for kids though). Perfect pairing with BEER! The downside was the restroom was downstairs and there were teenagers smoking there. But overall I would still come back for their food.

One of my friends highly recommended coming here for the liquor pops. Well, they don't serve them anymore. We decided to share a salmon bowl because we have been in Vancouver and people talked about how great the salmon is here. We were highly disappointed and glad we only ordered one bowl to share. The salmon was extremely dry and did not taste good. The rice was good. Our drinks were very good and the servers were very nice. I would not come back.

The ambience of this place is very classy and beautiful. Perfect place to meet friends or even go on a date. Really liked the flatbread we ordered, it was really flavourful. The cauliflower was also well made. The drinks were decent, some were too sweet for my taste. Service can be slow during peak hours though.

My friend and I came here for a quick bite to eat after our first choice turned us away. Located inside the train station Rogue Kitchen was lovely. We were seated in the far back where there wasn't a lot of noise, which I appreciated. Our server was wonderful. She was cheery, upbeat, and attentive. While the cocktails were nothing of note the pizza was delightful. It was soft, doughy goodness with juicy tomatoes and a pleasant amount of cheese. I really found it had a great balance and was larger than I anticipated as well! It made me quite happy!

I've passed this place almost daily as it's right inside Waterfront Station. We went during late night Happy Hour. It wasn't busy, but seating was only available in the lounge. The Bartender took our drink orders, I had the Grand Margarita salted, it was 8.99$ - ( 2$ off as per HH ) It sounded much better then it actually was. It was just Meh. Only one oz... My Husband had a few beers. Nothing to write home about. The food itself was not too bad. I had the Thai beef salad. I liked it , but it really lacked dressing. It didn't come with any bread or anything which would of been nice. My husband had a Chicken Burger that had cheese bacon & pineapple on it. Instead of Fries he had the Seafood chowder. He liked his food as well, but the problem was after we were done, and $85 later we were still hungry.... Service was decent, but they were closing up so we saw a number of different people, we never knew exactly who our server was, thus I was unable to ask for extra dressing or order any additional food to take home, or even check out desert. Doubt we will return, but never say never !

Absolutely need to go restaurant if you're looking for something for everyone. They have all the options you could dream up and they do everything so well. Service was fabulous and food tastes fresh. There's plenty of seating options inside/outside/bar area. I had the fish and chips which was a huge portion, and the cauliflower which was unlike any other I've had yet absolutely Divine.

Nice little place right by the train station. We were able to grab a quick bite ands av local beer when we got to town. The server was friendly and helpful. They have a lot of indoor seating and a fairly good size patio. The ahi Tuna cups and Jackie Chan Bao were fantastic! They take reservations. RECOMMEND!

Sooo delicious!…read more Butternut squash ravioli with prawns is a must get. It is pretty heavy so would recommend getting it to share. Ravioli has a great slight chew texture, not mushy despite being a butternut squash puree inside, and HUGE juicy prawns on top. Green goddess salad was a nice balance to compliment the ravioli, super fresh ingredients and great ratio with good amount of avocado. The Bellini slush was basically like a peach ring but not sickingly sweet like peach rings and more refreshing like actual fruit. Can't really taste the alcohol in it but could feel it. The calamari was okay, it could be crispier and have more squid/less dough but the flavor with the slight kick and Sichuan flavor is nice. Just not my preference of texture. The wagyu beef carpaccio was fun to eat and assemble but I would say you're paying more for the experience of assembling the perfect little bite because once you put together everything the beef flavor is sort of masked but I do enjoy the slight tang from the greens and pickled veges in contrast to the buttered bread. The cactus burger was a pretty solid big burger with well seasoned mushrooms, not too salty or greasy. Enjoyed the sweet potato fries and the light fry on them. We also sat outside which has heaters so I definitely recommend as it was less noisy and chaotic compared to inside during dinner time. All the employees are very nice too. TLDR: Get the butternut squash ravioli with prawns to share. Get the bellini as a drink. Burger and fries were solid choices that can't miss.

Jam Cafe, Vancouver Jam Cafe is my favorite brunch spot. Anywhere. That sounds like an exaggeration. It isn't. I've been traveling to Vancouver for work for almost a decade, and every single trip includes a stop at Jam. If I'm lucky, two. I've also become that coworker who convinces everyone to meet outside at 7:45 in the morning so we can be part of the first seating at 8:00. Thankfully, we're all from the East Coast and have been awake since 5:00 anyway. Over the years I've successfully JAMfluenced more business travelers than I'd like to admit. And yes, it's still worth the wait even if you're not first in line. The restaurant itself is tiny. Cozy farmhouse vibes, mismatched decorations covering the walls, and maybe 15 tables between the dining room and patio. It feels more like someone's favorite neighborhood breakfast spot than one of Vancouver's brunch institutions. The menu is comfort food turned up to eleven. Everything is indulgent, creative, and somehow still balanced. You can tell the kitchen starts with great ingredients because every component tastes like it could stand on its own. I try to branch out every visit... and then usually end up ordering the Tater Tot Bowl anyway. Crispy tater tots, buffalo sauce, Mexican street corn relish, and ridiculously good pulled pork. It's the kind of dish that sounds like it shouldn't work, but every bite somehow gets better than the last. And then there are the cinnamon roll pancakes. They are enormous. They're also one of the best brunch dishes I've ever eaten. Birdfluencer Lorraine M. declared them the best pancakes she's ever had, and after several visits, I don't have much of an argument. Service is exactly what it needs to be. Friendly, efficient, and quick. The staff knows there's a line forming outside before the doors even open, but you never feel rushed. Overall, Jam Cafe has officially become part of my Vancouver tradition. At this point, a work trip to the city doesn't really start until I've had breakfast here. If you're visiting Vancouver and only have time for one brunch, this would be my pick without a second thought.
