Lively ambiance, mood lighting, and billiards available to play. Anna was personable and provided great service. Express Train was AMAZING -- imagine an espresso martini made love with a sweet cinnamon tincture. Perhaps I'm biased, but it's the most enjoyable (and sweetest) espresso martini I've had. Plenty of beers on tap and a variety of unique cocktails. Will be back!

It was dark and noisy, just one of those typical, ordinary bars. I ordered an ale. Just a casual place I'd recommend for a quick drink.

the cutest bar loved the pink lighting inside and all the decor. kinda smelled a little like BO but thats not unusual for a bar/pub. i got a cosmo which was super yummy and my bf got a whisky highball and enjoyed it as well. i also got their miso caramel sticky toffee pudding which was soooo good. wish we tried their other food it looked great like their pizza.

Negroni in the after noon. A must. 5/5!

After a whole day of walking and observing at the Stanley Park and Vancouver Aquarium, a little pick me up and a bite was so in need. We passed the Ballyhoo and decided to give them a try. We were happy with our choice. Drinks were well made and tasty. Chicken wing was standard, on the smaller side, nothing special. Service was prompt and to the point. Since we were there off the pick hour, dinning room was not the busy. There was lots of dark wood that gives warmth and coziness. All and all this place was worth the visit.

We weren't planning on going here but saw the chill vibe from the street and decided to give it a try. Food came out fast and was decent but the fries were overcooked and tasted bland. Vintage wallpaper and pinkish lighting added to the retro decor of the bar. Our server was pretty lazy and slow. Acted like she had something better to do on a Saturday night. This is pretty typical in the younger areas of Vancouver where workers are usually college students and have no idea what's going on.

Pancetta & pineapple pizza. Touch sweet & the salt from the Pancetta balances it out.

Tasty, hits the spot after a long day sightseeing around the city. Friendly staff, sat & watched pool, had a drink & took in the people watching inside & out on the streets. Pizza was served hot, with a crispy, chewy crust. Was the perfect mix of sweet & salty.

Imagine this.... This place is something in between a buddy's basement you're at where there is some seriously tasty grub with homemade drinks and a satin faded purple worn-out couch in the back.....and you're just chillin' with your bestie bringing you hot, tasty food....AND....your local random corner pub the regulars are at on a Friday eve. That kinda vibe. The Personal meets the Professional Vibe....they have a baby...and wuala this place is born on the corner of Burrard & Smithe. Loved the personalized, super chill, friendly service and the space was mood lit with a view directly onto a busy Friday evening stunningly beautiful Autumn night....(see pic.) The Pepperoni pizza was surprisingly tasty. Super Fresh and cooked perfectly. The Hot Wings....oh ....the Hot Wings....they were hot (in temperature and spicing) and super juicy & chubby....what do I mean by chubby?....meat on on the bone! :)......let's just say....I was talking about them wings 5 days later. The Margaritas were really very good. It tasted like Margaritas you make for yourself at home. Nothing fancy. Just a well-handled, hearty, bold drink served proper. Interesting visit. If you ever find yourself not knowing whether you wanna go out or stay home. Maybe give this place a whirl, because the going out and staying home experience are infused with this place. Yeah..kinda unique. I know.

This was our first night dinner while visiting Vancouver and it was an excellent choice. We were seated immediately though it was a Friday evening around 7pm. Disappointingly they were out of the first drink I ordered, but the replacement Paloma was excellent. They were very welcoming to kids - my daughter ordered the prawn tacos and ate EVERY.LAST.BIT. The next table had a young kid as well, so we didn't feel out of place. I had a great short rib sandwich that was excellent the next day as leftovers. It's a small, cute, quirky place downtown. Highly recommend!

This is an excellent place for casual food and a catch-up conversation. We tried the pizza, which was definitely big enough for two people to eat. The service here was great! The server was attentive to us, even during the busy, chaotic night they were having.

We had a great time dining here. The food is good and the drinks were great. Definitely would come back here again soon. The kimchi grilled cheese was so good.

Enjoying a pilsner on the outdoor patio before going to our table inside.

My wife and I ate here on a Friday night and really enjoyed it - outstanding service, good cold beer, and a great pepperoni pizza. Reasonable pricing for this tourist and right near our hotel, and I would definitely recommend it and come here again.

Our server suggested that, because it was happy hour, a pitcher would be cheaper and save us money. I specifically asked how many ounces the pitcher was and was told 32 oz, which sounded reasonable since we planned to get 15 oz beers. When the pitcher arrived, it was clearly 64 oz. The server apologized for the mistake, and I let it go, thinking we didn't have to drink it all. However, when the bill arrived, the price didn't match the quote. We were charged $25, not the $20 we were originally told when the 64-oz pitcher showed up, with the explanation that the regular price was $35 and that we had "saved" money. In the end, we were served twice the beer we wanted and paid twice what we intended, based on information that kept changing. Whether this was incompetence or intentional, it left me feeling frustrated and uncomfortable. The food and atmosphere really were great -- but the experience was overshadowed by feeling manipulated. Enjoy the food and beer, but pay close attention to what the wait staff tells you and what ends up on the bill.

Food (Drinks): 1/3 Service: 0/1…read moreAmbience: 0/1 For being a pub on Granville Street it really is absolutely not up to par with any of the other options in the area. Firstly when we arrived nobody greeted us for I would say about 10 minutes even though the place was quite empty when we arrived, and when we finally received a table we were seated at a table that was wobbly, and the menus we received were stained and sticky, which got me immediately on edge about hygiene and made me uncomfortable. For drinks selection - nothing special that you can't get anywhere else, and the place being quite empty the vibe was quite boring too. I just felt uncomfortable being there and there isn't anything special about this pub that you can't get better anywhere else. We finished the one drink that we got and headed elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend this spot.

Features bar seating, booths, comfy chairs with fireplace, and an upper level with large table seating for big groups. Had many a great night here over many years as it provided a nice respite from all the crazy nightclub activity on Granville St. Sadly, they will be closing soon and will be dearly missed. The memories of the Morrissey Pub will live on in those who frequented it, and I will cherish mine.
