I cannot say enough AMAZING things about Quickie and Don Juan!!! From easiness of booking to quick response times and an amazing day filled with site seeing, I was truly blown away. This isn't your average boring tour. Quickie brings the passion and fun on your adventure. We started off our morning by getting picked up by Don Juan and Quickie. While the tour time might seem early, it's 100% worth it because it allows you to skip out on lines and crowds. We headed to Tulum to see the Mayan ruins. During our ride Quickie gave us a brief bio on himself and then provided us a lot of historical context for the ruins. When we arrived he dropped us off and let us do a self-guided tour which was nice because he wasn't being overbearing like a normal tour guide would be. Once we were ready to leave Quickie met us back at the entrance and took us to a hole in the wall spot that had amazingggg tacos. Next up on our list was visiting a cenote in Tulum. Quickie and Don Juan had all of our equipment ready for us which made the process nice and easy. Quickie picked a cenote for us that was breathtaking but not swamped with people (very important!!!). We snorkeled in the cenote with Quickie while Don Juan watched all of our belongings. Quickie provided us with knowledge on the cenote and even took pics for us. After the cenote we went snorkeling with turtles, stingrays, fix, and squids. It was a great time. Following snorkeling, Quickie took us to another hole in the wall restaurant where we had more amazing food and drinks. Our tummies felt very satisfied! We then visited another cenote where we had it all to ourselves. It was AMAZING!!! Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. To say Quickie is a wonderful guide would be an understatement. Both Quickie and Don Juan treat you like family. When we first met up in the morning Quickie said we would just be hanging with friends who happened to be locals. I didn't understand what he meant at first but once our time together came to an end it all made sense. Quickie goes out of his way to make sure your comfortable and well taken care of. I cannot recommend Quickie and Don Juan enough. The tour is well worth the money and time. You would be doing yourself a disservice by not booking this tour. I left as one happy camper and look forward to booking with Quickie again on my next visit. 10/10 recommend! read more

Quickie's excursion was an absolute joy. From beginning to end the entire experience was enjoyable. There were not any unpleasant parts. The amount of time spent on each activity was perfect. Long enough to enjoy everything and short enough to not feel as though it was dragging on. Quickie has extensive knowledge about the history of the tulum area and gives you excellent history and current states of the local environment. The cenotes were gorgeous and pristine. The zip lining was fun and safe. At every stage we were met with quick assistance and service. We went to quickies favorite taco place which was amazing. Hand made tortillas and a large selection of different meats. Surprisingly they put rice and beans on the tacos, if desired. The catamaran was huge and the ocean was gorgeous. We went snorkeling and saw sting rays and several turtles. There is a generous amount of drinks available to unwind with on the ocean at the end of the excursion. Quickie is a fun funny and knowledgeable guy. He is extremely thoughtful of all your needs. Not one time was I uncomfortable or needed to ask for something. My family just got off the boat with Captain Quickie. I don't post often, when I do it's important. This was one of the best days our family has spent together thanks to the decision we made to choose Captain Quickie. First of all his staff is amazing. Friendly and personable guides explain and lead us through an amazing array of new adventures. "Gil" in particular was like an old friend by the end of the day. He patiently worked with my teenagers during the snorkeling experience and made the BEST guacamole we have EVER had on the boat. That brings me to the boat. Are you kidding me? A boat built for racing and "could" hold a capacity of 100 instead is offered up to a cozy small group where every crew member tends to you and your family. It was amazing and I don't often shower praise like this on businesses in Mexico. Captain Quickie personally tended to my daughter who was a little sick on some unusual rough seas. He is a very special guy I feel lucky to have met. Top notch. Excellent. You WILL NOT do any better. I really cannot say more about the Local Quickie team other than they are the absolute best, hands down. We were in the Rivera Maya for a vacation with some friends and wanted to do something other then your run of the mill adventure park/hotel tour. I found Local Quickies on Yelp and immediately booked a signature excursion for the four of us. I had pretty high expectations going into it and they were simply blown away. First off when you get to the shop, the owner Captain Quickie give you the low down about what to expect. You can tell right off he is extremely knowledgable about that area and cares deeply about the marine life. Huge shout out to Manny for leading us throughout all of the fun activities during the day. In the morning we snorkeled with turtles and explored the reef, than swam in the most picturesque cenote (Which was off the beaten path). Finally during the afternoon we spent time on a beautiful beach, and finally sailed back up the coast on one of the largest sail boats in the Caribbean. We could not have asked for a better way to experience the more authentic side of Mexico, It was a unanimous 5 star day. We just finished a tour with Gil through Captain Quickie and it was AMAZING! Quickie and his guys know how to show a family an epic time! Our family of 4, including 10 and 15 year old sisters, was picked up in PDC at 8. We then zip lined, swam in two cenotes, snorkeled in a cave, swam with turtles and had a fantastic lunch at a small local restaurant. All this while learning about the history, culture and wildlife of the Yucatán from Gil's encyclopedic knowledge of the area. When Gil and Jose learned it was my older daughters birthday they surprised us by coming around the corner singing Happy Birthday with some local deserts... candles blazing. Throughout the day my wife and I were literally looking at each other with our jaws hanging open so dazzled by the tour and thrilled with the unforgettable experiences we were providing our children. This was hands down the best money spent! Captain quickie and his team are amazing. We had a non swimmer in our group and the captain took it upon himself to personally stay with her and make her feel safe. At the end she was even snorkeling underwater and able to see turtles. He takes you to small hole in the wall spots that aren't over crowded. He truly makes you feel like you aren't on a guided trip but that you're hanging out with friends. The catamaran trip was amazing!! The drinks were great but make sure you get a margarita personally made by captain quickie. He is very knowledgeable and we left the tour learning tons of local history. If we ever come back a tour here will be first on my list. I cant praise this trip enough. read more

Our two fun activity guides - Alex and Sophia were genuine, funny, and really excellent tour guides. I don't remember the name of the package we booked, but it was all day and included snorkeling with turtles, jumping into zenotes, and ending the day in a catamaran with an open bar (yes!). Our group had another all day adventure the following day, but with a different company, and it wasn't nearly as personal as LQ was. I contacted Captain Quickie from searching for Yelp reviews for a excursion/ tour guide company. I'm so glad I did because we had the best time with our wedding guests on 2 separate excursions he planned. The first, we were picked up right on time at our hotel and taken to Tulum where we were given a guided tour of the area. Then we were off to a Cenote for snorkeling. I can't remember the name of the cenote that he took us to but it was SO beautiful! We had been to some cenotes in the area before on other trips and this was by far the best one we've been to also because we were the only group in there! The second excursion we went on was a catamaran sailing trip in which he partnered with Paradise Catamarans. It was also such a fun time and we had top shelf drinks on board along with a great cruise down the coast and some guided snorkeling. Captain Diego and his crew were awesome! We were given the special treatment on the boat and it made our wedding week! I'd highly recommend Captain Quickie for any tour or excursion! The Secret River Tour-why does our Capt Quickie call it Secret? So he can keep it that way! Trust him if you want this adventure. We were picked up in a comfortable van in Puerto Aventuras. The group started off with a taco breakfast at El Arbolito (outside of Puerto) and was that yummy. What an amazing and unique experience! After finding Local Quickies on Yelp and reading their stellar reviews, I called very late in the day to inquire about going on their signature tour the next morning. When I mentioned to Captain Quickie that my daughter already had a sunburn, he sent along biodegradable suntan lotion for her to use on the tour. The next morning, we were picked up at our hotel by a friendly driver and whisked off to our first destination for snorkeling with the sea turtles. Our guide Sophia was extremely knowledgable and great fun! On the way to snorkeling in a crystal-clear cenote, Sophia passed around water and snacks. Our small group of 8 had the cenote all to ourselves and we had a bast jumping off platforms into the pristine waters and exploring the beauty of the cenote. Sophia treated us to a great lunch at a small family restaurant and then we continued on to the most beautiful beach in Tulum, to relax and enjoy the scenery and then board a catamaran for an afternoon of sailing. On our Akumal snorkel excursion, we got to see numerous sea turtles, but also some rare sea life such as the Spotted Eagle Ray! We enjoyed the signature cruise with and sailed aboard the catamaran from Tulum to Puerto Aventuras. Captain Quickie and his team are the best there is when it comes to excursions. We first visited as a couple in 2014 and then brought the whole family along in 2015 (grandparents + adults + kids ages 3-8). We visited 2 cenotes with great cliffs to jump off, went snorkeling with sea turtles and stingrays in Akumal, and had a great afternoon catamaran sail. They were amazing with the kids and even the 3 and 4 year olds were able to snorkel and had a great adventure they're still talking about. Twice in a row, it's been the best day of our vacation! We had a fantastic day taking a tour yesterday with Local Quickies. We did the zip lining/cenotes/Tulum beach/catamaran tour. Local Quickies is one of the few tour companies that has access to the cenotes at Tankah, so we were the only ones zip lining when we got there and my boys were able to do the lines several times. The cenotes were beautiful and my boys had fun repeatedly jumping off of the 15 foot cliff. We stopped for lunch at a local taco shop on the highway. The pork for the tacos are cooked 12 hours underground. The tacos were amazing. One of the best meals we had in Mexico. We then went to a beautiful beach in Tulum for about 1.5 hours and then sailed on catamaran for about 2.5 hours. The staff was amazing. Mar, Sophia and Manny were the tour guides and they did a fantastic job making our day special. Can't say enough good things about this company and I am glad all the reviews I read on Yelp and TripAdvisor were true. read more
