Local Tap & Table is the kind of spot that reminds you why dining out is such a joy. I stopped in and went straight for the Shrimp & Grits, and wow -- they nailed it. Perfectly seasoned shrimp over creamy, flavorful grits that had just the right amount of richness without being heavy. Every bite was comfort food heaven with a touch of finesse. Then came dessert: the Peach Cobbler Pound Cake. Think warm, cinnamon-kissed peaches meeting the buttery density of pound cake, all in one plate. It's the type of dessert you keep eating even after you're "full," because stopping would be a crime. Service was just as good as the food -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I never had to ask twice for anything, and my server's recommendations were spot-on. If you want Southern comfort with an upscale twist, Local Tap & Table deserves a spot on your must-visit list. I'll definitely be back -- and next time, I'm bringing friends so I can steal bites off their plates too. Aisha was great as well.

I had my birthday dinner there with 20+ guests. We had the upstairs area, our waitress was KeKe and everything was amazing. The food, service, music and overall ambiance were popping! Food was delicious and came out fast. The drinks were banging! I'm a drinker but stopped at three. The pasta, salmon, crab dip, chargrilled oysters, fried catfish and lamb chops were delish! I will definitely return! One of my favorite spots! You need to go for a good time!

Catfish and grits was just ok

I've seen this place on TikTok, a friend was in town and wanted to go to brunch I had never been here before so I suggested it. Honestly I was left very underwhelmed the food was just OK. The catfish and grits was overpriced and lacking flavor the sauce on the grits needed more seasoning the catfish itself was good though. The french fries were good and the ranch sauce was delicious my baby ate almost the entire plate. My friends eggs and potatoes were very basic. I hate the fact that there is limited parking and they force you to valet and pay $17 which is beyond ridiculous. I don't see myself ever coming back here and would not recommend it to anyone either. Our server was friendly but that's not enough to make me come back.......

Ok first of all they play great music!! I ordered the salmon bowl and it didn't disappoint guys. It was the tastiest thing I've had in a long time. Our waitress was super friendly and very attentive. She was super nice. I will definitely be back for that plate.

If you're not paying attention, finding the entrance can be tricky. I got turned around and found myself on the Katy trail. Friendly staff and decent service. I ordered the Birria tacos were delicious and crispy around the edges; it's a one taco order so not sure if it's worth the price, however. Closing out our table got a little interesting and left me uneasy. I'm glad I was able to try the food, but I don't need to come back.

Honestly the food, customer service and ambiance 10/10. I would go as far as too say this is my new favorite brunch spot! I got the salmon bowl and it was the perfect choice, I ordered my egg fried hard but kept everything as is! The sauces on the side was perfect pairing, the cream sauce was my favorite, the green had a little kick but still flavorful and good! The bowl by itself was so good and packed with flavor I wouldn't change a thing! The grits was so creamy, not a lump in sight! It was very delicious! The fish was crispy and tasty! I would get either meal again! But if I had to choose I think I would choose the salmon bowl. The cons: all of which is on the website, reading is fundamental! Cannot make reservations, on the weekend you have to pay $15 for valet, $25 hold on one credit card (yes you still split the check besides the hold), and gratuity is already added person no matter the size. It was only two of us. Also the atmosphere is not set up for quiet personal conversations, the music can get loud. Drinks weren't strong enough for me.

Candy was great! She provided great recommendations that were perfectly aligned with our tastes. It was our first time here and she made the experience enjoyable. We had the catfish, the everything seafood platter for our entree, mimosa tower with Grand Marnier and peach purée, crawfish bread, wings, gumbo and pickles for appetizers. It was a large serving so very glad it was four of us eating. For dessert we had the peach cobbler pound cake and strawberry cheesecake deliciousness. Thank you Candy for the Razzle Dazzle recommendations and service!

With all of the construction, you could easily miss the entrance. It's located up a ramp way and parking is limited. For that reason, I'm told there's a $15 charge for valet on the weekends. It wasn't busy when went on a Thursday night and most parking spaces were taken. Unfortunately, the dumpsters are in the parking area. Need I say more. The view from the hill it's perched on is nice. The esthetics on the inside are just as comparable. There's a huge bar, upstairs and downstairs. Both the hostess and waiter were pleasant. I ordered the Cajun pasta with shrimp at her recommendation. My BFF ordered the fish and shrimp combo. We decided on the crawfish boudin egg rolls. They were great. The sauce on the pasta was just okay. The pasta was swimming in sauce. And I'm one of the girlies that usually ask for extra sauce on the side. Now the grilled shrimp was so good. My BFF's fried shrimp was good, also. Perfectly seasoned. She thought the fried catfish was so-so. Honestly, I think because we had just read a review prior to ordering that said they use swai, it may have influenced her thoughts on it. She did ask about it prior to ordering and was told it's catfish. I would definitely go back and try other things.

I wanted to like this place more than I did, but it just didn't hit the mark for me. Though I like the vibe of the establishment, nice decor, and good music - overall experience was subpar. We came on a Friday morning where there were minimal people, and service was VERY slow. I tried the catfish/shrimp and grits. And the Don Julio mimosa. The drink took a while to come and was almost luke warm. The food was just okay. The cups for water seemed to be a dirty so I requested another one. Unfortunately, the cup looked the same (white film on and around the cup). I couldn't. Just wasn't a positive experience. I'm sure they offer fun Saturday Sunday vibes.

Service was good! Tacos were pretty good! Everything was cooked nicely. The tacos are flour so just in case that helps anything.

Stopped by Local Tap & Table and I'm still thinking about the oysters and honey ranch wings....hands down two of the best things I've had in a while. The oysters were fresh, flavorful, and served just right no extra fluff, just clean, quality seafood. But let's talk about those honey ranch wings... Insane flavor. The perfect balance of crispy, sweet, tangy, and savory. I don't even usually go for saucy wings like that, but these changed my mind. Also, huge shoutout to Ish, our waiter cool, attentive, and made the experience even better. He knew the menu, had great recommendations, and checked on us just enough without hovering. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. Do yourself a favor and hit this place up. Good vibes, great food, and even better service. I'll definitely be back soon.

Location Just off Harry Hines in Uptown area Parking So easy-driveway just off Harry Hines-large garage. Valet available. Atmosphere Classy sports bar. The view from the patio is spectacular. The music is really loud. Seating Tables, booths, outside, bar Service Fair Menu QR codes for menu-can be challenging to read. Happy hour "shot" drinks are $5 but when ordered-Specifically from the menu I was served a martini-being new to this bar-I thought, ok, this is a $5 happy hour drink. The happy hour appetizers are 20% off but not labelled as appetizers-we had to ask. Wr had the crab boudin egg rolls with sauce-really good. The menu offers oysters, New Orleans style food, catfish, lamb, poor boys. Summary We really wanted to like this place-location, parking, atmosphere, but the service and lack of clarity with the menu were tough. You may have a different experience.
