Absolutely terrible experience at Dallas Local Tap & Table. We waited over an hour and a half just to be seated -- with no communication or updates in between. Once we finally got a table, the server came off extremely rude and disorganized. She was taking our orders on her phone (which felt unprofessional to begin with), but still managed to get everything wrong. One of our friends never even got her food. No explanation. No apology. To make it worse, after the waitress had clearly dropped the ball all night, a security guard came over trying to rush us out -- like we were the problem. It was chaotic, unprofessional, and disrespectful from start to finish. The only reason this place gets any stars at all is because the food was good -- but the lack of customer service, poor communication, and overall vibe makes it not even worth it. Gio made my experience wonderful! The food was good. They had great music. My only complaints are with the $25 hold. They charge gratuity already but I feel the hold is unnecessary. The food was realllyyy good. They give you a butter sauce on the side that is sooo fire. I had the seafood omelette and it was really good. The service is cool. Our waitress was nice and she took care of us to the best of our ability. I liked the fact you could hear current hip hop songs that don't you don't get to hear at other places. The only reason why it is a 4 and not a 5 is because there is a wait if you want to eat there and it is pricy. The food is worth the wait but just a heads up. I went on Friday, August 30, 2024, around 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m. I went with 3 of my colleagues, and we all sat at the bar. Where the bartender had bad energy from the start of me coming, but I believe at the end he was just overall having a bad day, and he felt it was okay to take it out on his customers that sat at the bar for bar service. All over the fact that he didn't put in my food order that I really was looking forward to having, but I had already waited 20 minutes on top of paying for something that he forgot to put in, he decided to get upset because he was in the wrong. I just would like to know Local Taps Customer Service Policy because after last night. I don't believe that Local Tap has customers in mind. I have never been talked to or treated like such at a bar where I was paying for service. Cassandra The manager at the time didn't address her bartender or let him go on break to cool; instead, she allowed him to continue to go back and forth with me until the customer was asked to wait in the front because the bartender couldn't control his tantrum or voice level. I was excited to try this spot after seeing them on Instagram. Unfortunately, we left disappointed. Let's start with the good. For it to be Mother's Day, we were seated within 35-40 minutes. The menu was simple. The drinks were just Ok. Where it fell apart. Our appetizer, habanero mango wings, was cold. It took us more than an hour to get our entrees and we sat there salivating while we watched all the tables around us get their food. Once our food arrived it was good, but not great. I did not like the fact that my egg was overcooked. I had the salmon bowl, which was actually tasty. My husband had the shrimp and fish. Taylor was an amazing bartender and server! It was packed already at 1130am and they open at 11! That to me shows how good they are! It doesn't matter if you go early or late it's going to be a line and wait so patience is key. I can't get over how rude folks can be when they have to wait like the pandemic made some of you a tad big too entitled and impatient so please bare with the waiters servers and bartenders. If you want fresh food and good food be patient. Ambiance it's a whole vibe! Great music selections I sung the whole time! Excuse my videos I'm probably singing! So everything we had was good and fresh. The fish the salmon bowl and the mimosa tower! @localtap&table I was extremely disappointed because reviewing social media platforms it look like it was going to be a great place for brunch. But I was extremely disappointed. Service was terribly slow. The bartenders didn't acknowledge us waiting until 30 minutes after we sat down. In addition to that, the female bartender was rude and only taking orders from my husband. My martini tasted like juice, and I am a "One and Done" type of drink person if made right. The food was small, proportioned and cold. Very young crowd and music. We went to celebrate a family members birthday (total of 6pp). The service was extremely slow and music is loud so you can barely hear anyone. They were not busy at all. Our drinks took over 20 minutes and our apps and entrees came at the same time as the drinks. There was zero urgency from our waitress and then my salad came very last. The sad part is the food was decent minus red beans and rice being completely cold but the customer service was horrible. Went on a Friday night but it was pretty slow. Took a while to get a server but when we did she was super honest about her opinion on the food. She let us know that the shrimp in the pastas aren't seasoned so we requested Cajun season on the side (which helped). The gumbo ramen was super disappointing, the noodles got mushy very quickly and the seafood was... edible but not great. 3 other guests with me all got pasta. This place is outrageous. We got on the waiting list at 3 fucking pm Didn't get seating until 4:45 then we get to the table to only be told that they have fried food only. They got this expensive as valet & let us pay and sit down just to tell us it's fried food only. Then tell us we got to order quickly because the kitchen about to close Why even sit us ? Received a text message at 1:37pm while in the middle of a transaction purchasing photos, 'You have reached the front of the waitlist, please head over to the host stand.' Local Tap is the closest thing I get in Dallas to a Cajun/creole experience. I really like the flavors here! I love the red beans. The boudain eggrolls are my absolute favorite. And they're a little spicy! Their tacos are also really good and flavorful! Their crawfish bread is also good! A little heavy on the garlic but still enjoyable! The fish is good, I prefer it more crispy but that's an easy fix. Wings were good but I probably wouldn't order again because they're so big which makes it kind of hard to cook to a crisp, and I love my wings extra crispy. I'm not a big fan of their fountain drinks. I just wanted a lemonade and it's not good and they don't have Minute Maid or Simply, I think theirs is house made but I'm not a fan. I also will say that the service is slowwww. They can get very busy so just be mindful of that. Servers can afford to be more attentive. It's very loud in here too but if you like that then you will enjoy! I prefer to go on a quiet afternoon just to experience faster and better service. read more

If I have to valet my vehicle for $16 please do not charge $1.00 for extra sauce. I have no problem paying it but for $1.00 compared to $75 each person (6) paid was in my opinion a reach. Our server Jamya was amazing--super attentive and on top of all our needs. The food came out quickly, piping hot, and fresh. We ordered the catfish and grits with brunch potatoes and eggs, as well as the catfish, shrimp, and grits. As well as 2x the mimosa bucket. When I say there were sooo many grits, it was perfect! I have been wanting to try this place for awhile since moving to Dallas. When we walked in we noticed it was not very busy. Our server was great and we noticed he was also the bartender as well. He told us recommendations for the menu and we ordered exactly what he suggested. The drinks were AMAZING. I could drink those martinis all the time. The food was actually really good. The chicken tenders were breaded very well and the fries were seasoned to perfection. I'll start with location. The restaurant is located in the worst location for guest who are not resident of the hotel/ apartment complex. No self parking only $20 valet. Literally no self park & if you do self park you will be walking well over 15 minutes to get back to the restaurant, up a steep hill. The workers aren't your average upscale service but they did what they could for what they was doing. The wait was 1 hour & 26 minutes. They do have open bar seating, which is what I ended up doing until my table was ready. The brunch menu has a few select options to pick from. The waffle maker was broken, so that was why we had a extremely long wait as we was told. I ordered the fish & grits & cinnamon waffles (which came out burnt & hard) & I was told / explained it's a honey bun put in a waffle maker. Assuming because the waffle maker was broke that's why they where burnt. The food had my stomach HURTING the next day, don't let them sale you on the sauce, them grits was not him & the fish wasn't real. The $60 mimosas tower was extremely sweet & I didn't enjoy it either. I find it crazy they charge $60 for $7 champagne. read more
