Unimpressed. I've tried this place on a Sunday and Tuesday. Starting with Tuesday, I came with a local run club. Underprepared is an understatement. It took over 1h 30 min for food to be served. Since they charge you prior to placing your order , you're essentially unable to leave. Thus, we remained. One person did receive their food and it was wrong ( we ate it as we knew it was highly unlikely it would be fixed). When the second place came out the presentation was unbelievable and the food was overcooked. The server was apologetic yet it does not excuse our experience. It's clear they were understaffed both in the kitchen and the floor. To learn they had prior knowledge of our group this was unacceptable. My colleagues and I were in town and were looking forward to experiencing the food here. Things quickly went south when we waited 18 minutes for a server to come to our table, followed by an hour wait for our beverages and food followed that. I've been wanting to try this place out for a few months now so there was some anticipation prior to coming. Upon arriving I noticed that there cones in all of the open stalls going up the hill. When I got to the top of the hill, I was notified that it was valet parking only for local tap. Valet is $15 then you follow a path to the entrance. My purse was checked for a firearm (which is fine, this is Texas), but that plus the overall mismatch in vibe was already disappointing. Food-wise, some dishes took way too long. My sister and I ordered oysters as an appetizer , but our dinner entrees came out first, and by the time the oysters arrived, we had basically finished eating. I came here this past Saturday with my boyfriend and two other friends for brunch. There was a 40 min wait, but the music was a vibe so we decided to stay. I later found out that our waiter followed my boyfriend into the men's restroom and told him that she was just making sure we didn't go in together or that we didn't go in the wrong ones. I'm not sure what kind of people you think we are, or what experiences this establishment has had in the past, but I am completely disgusted at the assumption that me and my man would EVER get intimate in a restroom in the middle of brunch. Moreover, I'm outraged at the manner in which she chose to confirm that we weren't in the restroom together. If she was genuinely concerned, the appropriate thing to do would have been to find a male employee and have him check, or come in the women's restroom and find me. Intruding on my boyfriend while he is in the restroom, w his business out, is not only unprofessional, but distasteful. Have some respect for the privacy of your patrons, as well as a little bit for yourself, because it's giving weird thirsty loser. That interaction made my boyfriend very uncomfortable. This is the best location in the city, it's right off the trail and it's great for people watching from the patio or bumping to music in the main dining area. The food is legit- I had the shrimp and grits, but members of the group had the breakfast bowls, salmon, shrimp, and grits, the chicken and waffles, and French toast breakfast. All out of this world!! With a menu like this you can't go wrong. A couple things: valet is $20 because of the limited parking (mixed use commercial space). I recommend getting there early (10:45) to secure parking. This is definitely a fun vibe for brunch, I brought the kids and they loved the food, but it's definitely more for adults. A friend had a belated birthday dinner last night, and she had it at Local Tap & Table. The restaurant is attached to an apartment complex, and as a tip: you can either park at the bottom of the hill for free and walk up the hill or drive up the hill and pay for valet (I think everyone else paid $10 but I've read it can be $20). I decided to park down the hill for free. Got here at 8:30 and it was not so lit anymore (I'd say about 1/4 of the restaurant was filled) which is fine with me. The inside was clean, and I liked the high tables although I wish there was more room to sit up top. Our waitress was attentive and really honest. I appreciated that because she recommended anything fried or with rice. With that in mind, I knew exactly what I wanted to order. I ordered the HennyBerry Lemonade which is strawberry lemonade and Hennessy. It was really good! It was more on the sweet side which was good because I had to work the following morning. For the food, I got the fish and fries (was going to get the pasta until she said it wasn't a good idea). I'm glad I listened! The fish was great! It was perfectly seasoned and crispy which I loved. The fries were great and also perfectly crispy and seasoned well. I loved how much honey mustard I got! Definitely didn't need another one. The hot sauce tasted more like buffalo sauce, but I thought it was good. I didn't expect much from this place (was just thinking the drinks would be decent and the food subpar and forgettable), but I was pleasantly surprised at how good everything was, especially the food! I don't really have any complaints. Even the music played wasn't loud enough to overshadow conversations. This place is close by my apartment, so if I do want some good fish and not drive too far to get it, I'll keep this place in mind! read more

The service was okay. Our server was nice, she had a bubbly personality and I can't blame the bad food on her. They gave us plastic cutlery (the to go ones with a little napkin and our cocktails were served in plastic) This was surprising given the fact this is not a food truck, but an actual restaurant. I ordered lamb and the MSP was $40. There was no gravy or anything and the mashed potatoes were so dry and undercooked, which was also a first. Sunday Funday is nothing without this place! Y'all, when I tell you I had so much fun at this brunch, it's so crazy. Found this place on IG which was hyped up as one of the best brunch places in Dallas. As per suggestion, I took a ride share which was a great idea due to the limited parking on a weekend. Upon arrival (about 1230), we were seated promptly. The place was not too busy at this time. Our waitress didn't come by for about 10 minutes. When she finally arrived, & took our drink order that took about 10 minutes. We ordered our food which took longer than expected. I saw that the table behind us who were seated after us received their food long before our food came out. I ordered the French toast with egg & bacon. For the $$, not really worth it. My friend ordered the scramble & a waffle. Meh! TBH, I'm not sure I'll go back for brunch again. I may give it a second chance because i want to try the dirty rice. But, since they don't serve it at brunch, it'll have to be a non-brunch time. I'm giving them a 3 due to the slow service & over priced menu. The food could have been great but it was dry and somewhat warm. The seafood omelet was huge but not much seafood. The four shrimp varied in size and so did the potatoes, they were overcooked and looked to be old like they had been sitting. This was disappointing being that no matter what, the waitress is getting 20% no matter how many times she checked on us or gave us what we desired.
