Nice die bar in the medical district area. Good options of beer, wine, cocktails, well. I ended up ordering a glass of their house, white wine, which was decent and a generous poor. Wasn't a long wait to get drinks either. Sat outside on a bench with a group of friends, and it was a good experience. I will note that one of my friends had a cup from another establishment, but it was empty. I think it was a manager who approached our table and told my friend to dispose of it ASAP, and he did so in a not so nice way. Huge shoutout to Jose for making our night unforgettable! Even though it's not a full sit-down service type of place, he went above and beyond checking on us, making sure we were comfortable, and giving fine-dining-level care in such a laid back spot. I honestly haven't had service that good in forever. He never stopped moving around from making amazing drinks to checking every table. The food was so good my go-to is always the buffalo wings and Cajun fries, and the drinks never disappoint either. I don't wanna start anything... but if you get the chance, ask Mr. Jose to make you a Mexican Candy drink and thank me later lol. No Stars. My first and last time coming here. I literally just walked out. I understand that Sundays are busy and service will be slower but it was non-existent. The two people working the bar taking drink and food orders were clearly overwhelmed but they also made no effort to at least acknowledge me or the people standing next to me who had been waiting longer. It was like they made a point to avoid us. Had they at least acknowledged me or at least apologised and advised that there would be a delay, I would have waited but this was deliberate. Came here after googling happy hour spots on a Friday i got off early. This is a hidden gem that offers great food and good service. The bartender was super friendly and knowledgeable and gave a great recommendation for the wings. Their drinks are very well priced for dallas $5 crown and sprite can't beat that. read more

I'm not really sure how to rate this because there was good and bad... but the bad was really bad for me. This place is cute... love a fun "dive" bar... this is more upscale-ish dive bar. Pool tables and other games on the cute patio. Nice vibe. Everyone is friendly. The inside is nice and comfy too. Lots of places to sit and good for big groups. Difficult to have conversation tho... it's pretty loud in there (music) Bartenders were friendly, good drinks, good selection. Food menu is plentiful and everything sounds delicious. We shared the brisket grilled cheese. They brought it out on two separate plates and split which was really nice! It was delicious. We had 3 alcoholic beverages between the two of us. Tab came to $75 and I didn't get an itemized receipt. So I guess those drinks were pricey. But here's the really bad part and the reason why I didn't ask for an itemized receipt... cuz I needed to get the eff out asap. A giant rat had scurried across the rafters above us. I have the biggest rodent phobia. I mean, even just typing out r-a-t makes me want to cry. I didn't cause a scene, I remained calm and graceful as I could be. But I was so scared, and also grossed out cuz we had just enjoyed food and drink. I mean.. Gene Hackman and his wife died from rats .... These are the things that go thru my head. I know establishments deal with this from time to time. But I never ever want to see a giant ass rat while I'm sitting in a place. Patrons beware. I came to eat, drink, and play trivia. I carried a water bottle in that contained dissolved medication for a medical issue I live with. I was stopped by the manager (I think his name is Mike?) and told I couldn't have the bottle. When I told him it contained important medication and was necessary, I was told I wasn't welcome if I was going to have a medical issue. He went on to say I was "threatening" him with my medical issue. I sent my partner back to the car to take back the bottle and to get a new dose of medication (an expensive medication that I really didn't need to waste a dose of), and sat down with the friends that already had a table. The manager then came back to our table and continued to harass me, even though I was trying to disengage from the incident. Absolutely unnecessary, made me terribly uncomfortable, and ruined our night out. Definitely a buyer beware situation. I understand that the water bottle was an issue, but the manager handled it so terribly that I'd hate to see how he handled any other patrons. No one deserves to be accosted and belittled when just trying to explain a major medical issue that has a simple solution. read more

Came here with some friends for a late lunch. It was a cooler summer day and we sat on the patio comfortably. (Was actually surprised how busy it was despite the parking lot being empty). My friends ordered a burger, a salad and 6 wings. They loved it all. I ordered a grilled chicken salad. Although it was delicious... and I loved the ranch dressing... it had dirty lettuce. They clearly didn't wash it. I picked out the pieces with lots of dirt and choked down the rest while repeating the phrase in my head, "God made dirt, so dirt don't hurt." We showed up and sat at the bar. One of us went to the restroom first so I ordered two waters and started us out with an appetizer of hummus. They quickly took my card to start a tab and brought our water and appetizer a few minutes later... then they never talked to us again. Note it was not a busy Saturday night, with multiple barstools open while we were there. After finishing our waters and appetizers 30+ minutes later we had to call the bartender over to close our tab. At this point our hopes of ordering drinks and entrees were crushed. At best it was a bartender who didn't care about patrons, at worst it was an un-LGBT+ establishment. This is a great find, and I mean driving past in on Lemmon, you'd have no clue from the front facade that it's anything at all, much less a pretty classy upscale "gastro pub". Great food, maybe a little pricey including draft beers - but given the high end neighborhood (it is literally adjacent to the Bentley dealer) it is what it is. I'd hate to pull the race card but half the time I'm actually greeted with great service and the other half you would think I'm not even there. Literally ignored lol no water, no menu, hello or anything. I've sat in this establishment on multiple occasions without being serviced to the point I'm sitting at a table and calling my order in from across the room. I'm basically a regular at random.. I was so excited to have found a place I actually enjoy in DFW but I question if race plays apart... idk that's really unfortunate but I'd hate for the next person like me to find this environment uncomfortable. What a fun little place! We're big fans of patios and games. They have both and not only that, they have both together! The Ivy was suggested by some friends as a place to grab a drink and was very close to where we lived. The place is good-sized and has plenty of open seating both inside and outside. What really got us was that they have arcade games located on their patio. How fun! Drinks are readily available, but a bit overpriced for the area. Food is similar. They have some good stuff like flatbread pizzas. No complaints on quality, but price is a bit steep. Staff is fantastic and very efficient. The only thing keeping this place from a 5-star is the price, honestly. They're just a little steep. Still a fun place to pop in on the weekend for a drink on a patio. read more

We went to Cidercade & were deciding on going to have dinner and were randomly looking for places close by & I remembered Ivy tavern & always wanted to go there. I would say it was the best decision & we came down. Loved the ambience. We sat in the outside area near the cocktail bar. We ordered hummus dip platter & the Ivy holycow brunch pizza. I would say this is one of the best pizza we tried in the recent times. Even the hummus dip was amazing. Right amount of spiciness to it. We enjoyed the music & people around & hanged around for couple of hours & went home happy. Staff was very friendly & chill ('PM1' guy with short curly hair & light skin was awesome).
