We went for brunch. This place fills up quickly on the weekends so we went during the week. I had the wild mushroom hash. My husband had the burger. Both were very flavorful and unique. Delicious! Stopped in for lunch to try Locals Only out. We grabbed an open table outside, but after checking in we were told we needed to get on the waitlist. After entering the restaurant, there were numerous tables available everywhere and no one that appeared to be waiting. We put our name on the list and stood by for 10 minutes. I have to admit I was really looking forward to having breakfast here but overall was pretty disappointed since it had such a high Yelp rating. Overall, the atmosphere and the staff are really awesome. It is clear that the owners and staff put a lot of time into ensuring that the experience is second to none. Drinks were a little mixed. The non alcoholic BB Love was a hit and had a nice balance between sweet and sour. Bloody Mary on the other hand was kicking but came across as bitter. Slightly disappointing. We had the cauliflower appetizer which was quite delicious. Nice char and the avocado spread at the bottom was a great pairing. Unfortunately, from that point forward the food went downhill quickly. 3/4 entrees were extremely disappointing with the chef having a heavy hand with the salt. Morning Glory brisket au jus was extremely salty and when poured over the eggs made them inedible. In fact the eggs also seemed as though they had been cooked in way too much grease. It's been a long time since I've seen such a screw up on scrambled eggs. The Louis V was slightly better however the English Muffin was barely toasted which didn't hold up to the melted cheese and the mustard and became a mess. Almost too much to stack. The Chef's Choice was a breakfast burrito overstuffed with two eggs over easy and then topped with Bearnaise sauce. It was too much and just looked unappetizing and had way too much going on. The only entree that was a hit was the Douglas. Pretty hard to screw up eggs and toast and home fries! And thank god they didn't. I was very excited to try Locals Only today. My mom and I we're unfortunately let down in a lot of ways. We were told we couldn't sit at a table because of reservations, which is fine we work in food service so we understood. But we also understood that by the end of the meal they had turned multiple parties away and no reservations had arrived while we were eating. We finished our meal and all of the tables were still empty. The price of the food for what we got was exorbitant. One piece of avocado toast was $15 and my side of undercooked potatoes was another $5. Tons of staff on sitting around and eating but no one asked how our food was and we waited quite some time with dirty dishes in front of us to get the check. The bright airy cafe style mixed up with the bar bottles reminded us of cafes in Italy. Went for a brunch reservation with a few friends today. While ordering drinks we were told they were out of Prosecco (almost all of the cocktails included Prosecco). So we decided to order other coffee cocktails only for the waitress to come back 20 minutes later and say they are out of ice and can't do any cocktails. I've been to Locals Only a couple of times now and I love it! It's got a really funky vibe to it when you walk in the door. It's super chill and so relaxed. The staff is extremely friendly and knows their stuff really well. Their menu items take things you know and are familiar with, and put a little twist on it to make it their own. It's tasty, it's fresh, and it always leaves me feeling satisfied but not weighted down like a lot of other brunch/breakfast places. Their coffees are delicious! They are always happy to answer any questions you may have on their roasts and drinks, and they're happy to customize things for you if you wanted them. Louie (the owner) and I shared multiple high fives over their delicious dishes. We talked about four or five star reviews and I said I felt a five was for a second visit that matched or out shined the first.... easily achieved this evening. We happened in on a rainy night and were very cordially and enthusiastically taken care of at the counter. I ordered the fruit loop cocktail sans egg white, if I don't feed that chicken and pick up that egg right after it's squeezed out I'm not inclined to eat any raw bits. The drink was truly delicious without the egg. We had a great interaction with the chef while sitting at the short counter jawing about cannolli filling, pea shoots and hand making croissants. Sit there, talk to this man, he's great. They were shooting a video which we happily agreed to be in. But, besides all the great interaction two dishes were tried and we loved them. The chickpea fritters were really well seasoned, we liked squeezing a little lemon juice on em cause they were good straight up without the sauce. Also tried were the green onion pancakes, hello...nice to meet you, get in my mouth. Yeah they aren't the over oily over fried maybe gummy Chinese take out version, they are much better. It's like a great latke met a great green onion pancake, shared sauces and mabe these hybrid babies. Their website says they charge 3.95% to use your CC so I brought cash. It's so odd they would make money off customers using their CC. Squares website says they only charge 2.6% plus $.10 so why would they charge you 3.95%?? I hate this way of doing business. Charge your price then give a cash discount. Regardless, server (male- didn't remember name) was great, breakfast sandwich was overpriced and just ok, mimosa flight was a joke (I've had some fantastic mimosa flights other places) and it was very cold inside. And the bathroom was disgusting. So 2 stars for the service (service alone I'd say 5 stars) but since it's the whole package... then 2. I had come here for coffee and a breakfast sandwich relatively soon after they opened, and admittedly I was not thrilled with their cold brew (it was incredibly weak in comparison to a Glen Edith Nitro Cold Brew) or the sandwich, particularly since the one egg sandwich with cheese on a roll was $7. The egg was overcooked and it had a very distinct fried flavor which wasn't tasty or worth the price. I did give them a second try in the weeks following and got a regular coffee with Tahitian Vanilla and it was quite good. So, I decided perhaps this is just a spot for a coffee every now and then. Today, I decided to give this place another try after not being back for a couple of months and I am glad I did. They have expanded their menu significantly, providing many more breakfast options including Avocado Toast (I think I was converted when I saw that) and they now have a "Lil Egg Sandwich" that is $5 with one egg, excellent crispy bacon and cheese on a croissant. The sandwich was absolutely delicious, really. It was also just enough food for a smaller person like me, so hungrier people may want to order something more filling. Also, I decided to get a cappuccino with the same Tahitian Vanilla flavoring and it was divine. The woman who made it did an exceptional job. Together the two made my morning, hence this review. My only suggestion is that the cappuccino is small, 8 oz, and it's $4. It's not significantly above average in price, but was more like $4.50 with the flavor shot. I think $3.00 or $3.50 would be a better base price considering it's very small in size. Kudos to whomever made the decision to expand the menu, adjust the prices and make the changes in what's offered! I think it's much better and more in tune to how much people are willing to spend on breakfast. This won't exactly be a daily habit as today's meal was $10.15, but I'll look to come around more often when I have a need for a pick up. read more

This place is instep with the style of many new cafe/restaurants popping up in metro areas. The menus had some yummy low priced items as well as fair priced entrées. We saw some intriguing ingredients scattered across the menu, as well as some vegan and gluten free items. The bar had shelves of various fun flavored liquors not yet used in any drink menu. I'm interested to see what drinks they'll concoct. We ordered coffee and an espresso. I was thrilled to see my espresso was served with a sparkling water and citrus wedge on the side. I ordered chicken and waffles and my spouse isn't a foodie, and ordered the token breakfast sandwich. I ordered the chicken and waffles because of the bone marrow maple syrup. Maybe I misread it but I didn't pick up on anything bone-marrowy about it. It was good either way. The chicken was fried with a beer batter/tempura style batter. I prefer crispy southern style fried chicken but this was still good. The waffle was like an Eggo Waffle, touching on nostalgia. I ordered this dish with the add-on of a crispy fried egg as well as some spicy kimchi! My husband didn't like his breakfast sandwich in comparison to the breakfast sandwiches you can find across Rochester on any given Saturday morning. I take his thoughts on food with a grain of salt because who can trust someone who prefers a meal replacement shake to actual food.
