They're also incredibly informative and helpful. I recently purchased some herbs from Ed's and their team meets you at the entrance to try to guide and assist you. It's a nice touch. Once you move on to the area where the herbs are, other folks will assist you there as well. Additionally, the selection of herbs is superior and more varied than what you'd find in the nearby home stores. Ed's also carries a ton of flowers - fortunately they are around to answer questions because the selection can be overwhelming. Recently, due to the closure of the Upper Marlboro location, I began shopping at the Brandywine location and for the first time ever after spending thousands of dollars over the years, I returned an item that cost less than $25. To my surprise, I was the subject of a profanity laced diatribe from a female owner of the store who excoriated me for making the wrong purchase which required her to a do what she called " a time consuming credit card refund". I began shopping at R&D Cross when the southern part of Upper Marlboro had one fast food restaurant and you saw store employees at church or the grocery store. That period has passed. What remains is my insistence that I treat others with respect and be treated the same way. Regrettably, I shall never make another R&D Cross purchase.
