So amazing!! I was recommended this gorgeous place as part of my NC500 jaunt. I ignored advice about travelling counter clockwise, which I will entirely follow when I no doubt do the trip again, but I'm glad I did as it was companions I met on a loch who recommended this place as a stop on my travels.
I had the venison and cranberry pie, with a salad, and I'm so glad I had it without all of the additions available, because they are definitely small but mighty pies, and I was so bloody full!! It was genuinely a wonder I could move afterwards, let alone hike. Though, greedy I am and there was so much to choose from on the menu that I wanted (Haggis neeps and fatties, pork chorizo and manchego, savoury lamb, steak, pork apple and cider, chestnut and mushroom, poached salmon, broccoli and cauliflower cheese) I did plump for a sweet one to take away too - strawberry and rhubarb- which just edged it over the peach and apricot.
I'm also delighted to find out that they're doing click and collect- and pies by post!!!!
