Last week, something odd happened to our front door's main lock. I was inside of the home and my…read morehusband was coming back from running an errand. Despite inserting his key into the keyhole, the door wouldn't open. I was inside of the home and I unlocked it from my side of the door and the lock would not release. The lock was broken from inside of the unit! I was in a state of panic because I could not open the door from the inside and it would not open from the outside. So, I scrolled through some Yelp Reviews and found Golden Locksmith. I called them right away and explained the situation. They asked for photos from both sides of the door so that he could see a clear view of the type of lock that was on our front door. I was given a price quote to start and they said that they'd be on their way soon. David arrived within an hour and I brought him in through the sliding glass door. We live in an HOA community, and he wanted to avoid damaging the door. So, working from the inside was ideal. David explained everything to me and showed me where the defective portion of the lock was located. He was able to release the lock and get the front door open. We had a choice of putting a new lock on the door or having him rebuild the lock while putting new parts in. We chose to have him rebuild the lock with new parts and to rekey it so that the keys to enter the home would remain the same. He also noticed that our door had shifted and he repaired that for us too so that it was balanced once again. He also told me that he wants me to be confident in our choice to rebuild the lock. If this lock breaks or we have any issues with it within the next 30 days, he'll put a whole new lock on for us and apply the difference from the rebuild to the purchase of a new lock. I really like that there was open communication between the customer and the business. He was very confident in the work that he performed and his work ethic was incredible. This was an emergency situation and it could have been worse for us if we had come home late at night and could not have gained entry into our home through the front door. I now have Golden Locksmith's number programmed into my contacts just in case another issue like this arises in the future.

Kenny quoted a great price up-front whereas other businesses played the "car sales" game with vague pricing which meant they planned to hit me with a high cost once they're already at my home. And he came to my home same day to get it done quickly. Kenny actually fixed my original key fob so I didn't technically need him to re-program my new fob. But he offered to also do the new fob for just $20 more. Done. All within 30 minutes.
