I started looking for a locksmith, and I found Catskill Mountain Locksmith and scheduled an appointment. The woman answering the phone was very nice and communicative, and I'm sorry I can't remember her name. I scheduled an appointment, and we checked in once or twice before the scheduled appointment time. I met up with Ryan at a predetermined location. Upon greeting him, I could see that he was a really nice guy too. He had everything he needed in order to program new key fobs for me on the spot. He also helped me out by letting me know that I did not need to have new keys cut, which would have cost even more. By the way I was told by "others" that I would need to cut the keys as well....sure. Ryan was able to program two key fobs, and my original keys still worked. The whole transaction probably took no more than 10 minutes. I was able to pay him with a mobile payment, but he accepted all forms of payment, which was really convenient. Such a good guy, very professional, and he showed up on time and knew what he was doing. I highly recommend Catskill Mountain Locksmith 24-7!

This guy services Center Square area for his company, he's been to my house before but I forgot he worked for Phillips, otherwise, I would not have called them...I did not care for him the first time he came over. He seems lackadaisical, unconcerned and has a questionable work ethic. He parked his vehicle around the corner when there was ample parking in front of my house, he took his time walking back and forth to his vehicle. He charged me for 60 minutes of his time to do what in my opinion, should have taken 30 min. He must have spent 30 minutes in his truck I guess because he only spent about 30 MAX in my house. His work was ok, I had to ask him to tighten the door handles after he changed the main entrance door lock cylinder, which seems to me he would have done so without being asked. I won't be calling this company again, not if this guy is their representative I have no confidence in him. The bill included: SCR $200, for which he wrote "plus labor for outer door mortise lock..." (he did not provide a break-out of what he spent his time doing); He then listed "Change combination Lock cylinder $20.00", "Progressive Split Spindle $18.92" plus 8% in taxes; the total invoice was $258.03. I feel like the work he did could have been done faster and far less expensive. I'll call another company the next time.

The guy who showed up was not his employee, lied to me. I've been calling the locksmith to speak to the owner, but somehow, the owner is never on site. I have felt the need to cancel my debit card. It seemed odd that he would only accept a card, yet not have a card processor and wrote my card number down. Ok, called and spoke to the dispatcher. Says they never received the cancel. Considering the roadside assistance department of Electric Insurance, that doesn't suprise me. He couldn't explain why the man lied about working for my friend's friend. He also said that writing the card number on the receipt is policy and assured me it was safe. Card will remain locked for usage for a long time
