If I could give 10 stars, I absolutely would. Lock world is the best!!!! Somebody tried to steal my kia and completely shredded the ignition in the process. I called a very highly rated mechanic to get a quote, and he immediately recommended that I call Nestor at Lock World. Nestor was so helpful, so responsive, and very fair. The rest of the process with my car (the insurance, towing, etc.) was a complete nightmare, but Nestor and the rest of the lock world team were absolute saints. They got my car back to me so quickly, even made me a new key because mine was worn out. I also needed a new battery before I could drive it home, but I don't know how to replace it myself. I called about getting a replacement key made for my 2003 VW, and they were extremely helpful and gave me the rate over the phone. I was able to go in the next day, and it only took a few hours and cost about $300 to get a duplicate key made with wiring. I have had very good experience with this company. I've used them at least four times over the years and have always found them to be reliable, professional, and to do good work. One time, when they did a big job for me, rekeying every exterior door to my house, I found that there was one bolt lock that they accidentally put back with the wrong orientation. When I phoned the office and reported it, they immediately returned and corrected it without charge. Today, their locksmith Reed fixed two very old interior door latches in the house. The work required removing strike plates and altering them. He did all the work within an hour and now the two doors close properly for the first time in at least 35 years! read more

I had gotten my key cylinder replaced and was charged 120 automatically for shop labor, which a bit pricey. That was not the problem. I was waiting for a call that I was suppose to receive at 1-2 hours when the job was done and I never received that call. I ended up waiting 3 hours walking around the area trying to kill time and when I returned to the shop they said the car was done and they forgot to call. They had also said that they would reassemble the plastic pieces and air bag. That was never done. They over promised and under delivered. I would think twice about going here for any type of key cylinder replacements for any vehicle. I wasted an hour waiting for a phone call. If I didn't walk back to shop who knows I could have wasted another 2 hours waiting for that call. Find another shop if you can. Not worth the wait and the expensive labor. read more

I was referred by Ace Hardware to this establishment yesterday to get a car key remade for my vehicle. I went and stayed approximately 30 minutes until technician wasn't able to do it since he didn't have his special computer with him and to come back tomorrow. Left the shop and our check engine light was on probably due to misconfiguration. I brought car back this morning as planned...got key remade and got the check engine light alert cleared. Then there were the extra keys I needed for the painter, the cleaner, and of course my porn buddy - very fast turn-around.
