Our first several encounters with a variety of photographers and left me, more or less, ripe with frustration. The prospective cost, the costs on top of that costs and the feeling of being nickel and dime'd into oblivion were starting to pile on. So, when the discussion started pertaining to what exactly was offered by Allusion with Sherry, my apprehension quickly melted away. She knows what she's doing. After looking over the amazing pictures her and the photographers in her employ had taken in the past in conjunction with the packages they offered, I quietly nodded to my fiancé and smiled. Everything was shaping up perfectly to the point that when she offered us the bridal expo discount on her top tier package, all of which is comprehensive with a ton rolled in, we accepted and put down our deposit. The exact details of the package are staggering, we just got so much for the money we put down, but even the lower tier packages struck me as significantly better than what any other photographers had offered us in the process of searching for someone to capture the special moments on our wedding day. On our wedding day, we had two photographers to capture both the bridal party as well as my groomsmen and I. Sherry herself was one of the photographers that day, given her familiarity with our venue, Stan Mansion. They followed us both throughout the day and into the evening capturing such an incredibly amount of pictures, that I couldn't help but be further impressed when we started going through them all on the website about a week after returning from our honeymoon. Besides the posed pictures, they never once became obtrusive or got in the way of myself, my bride, the fellow vendors or really anyone. They were the photographer equivalents of Batman, visible when they needed to be, but otherwise unnoticeable unless absolutely necessary. It was positively perfect. Speaking of perfect, the pictures they took were leagues beyond what my now-wife and I had hoped for. We've poured over them since receiving our proofs to finalize our wedding album and can't help but laugh and smile over the incredible skill displayed in the photographs. Well beyond putting disposable cameras on the table and well worth the quality any amateurs could have hoped to deliver upon. When my wife and I look back on our wedding pictures and the album therein ten, twenty or fifty years from now, we'll be thankful that we opted to go with Allusion Photography. On a personal level, Sherry could not have been more warm and professional to work with to capture our wedding and thereafter. She brings an outstanding class to her profession that easily trounces the casually maverick attitudes of many other photographers we'd discussed wedding details with. As I said, she knows what she's doing. Even during the meeting after the wedding to pick up proofs and discuss any outstanding details, she was more than receptive to deliver exactly what we wanted and to do so remarkably well, continuously ensuring that we were ultimately satisfied. Looking back, after everything we went through trying to find a photographer, I'm grateful to my wife for having stumbled upon Allusion. Every interaction we had with Sherry was pleasant and every dollar we spent was well worth it, and when planning a wedding, there's nothing quite like piece of mind knowing the people who will be working with you on that big day are friendly professionals. My husband and I decided 4 months before our wedding to add video vendor services as most friends said it was their biggest regret to not have. WCP offers both photo and video packages but also different price points if you hire Sam/Katie or a Junior Associate. We loved that there was a value option for us to include video. Jamie was our Junior Associate. He came highly recommended by our wedding coordinator and I see why! His bubbly personality was a welcome addition day of to keep the energy high and make the documented moments feeling authentic and intentional. He went above and beyond with capturing drone footage and every wedding moment start to finish. After our big day, Sam edited our video to deliver a 2 minute teaser, 8 minute video capture, and provided us all raw footage. On top of this, they give couples the option to select songs. Our video was ready in about 6 weeks which was exactly in the middle of the proposed delivery timeline discussed. All email outreaches were responses to within 24 hours. They are simply good people to work with and were a great addition to our wedding vendor team! Tip: They offer a 5% discount with all cash payments.

She was AMAZING. Her work was beautiful. So amazing that my sister in law is special requesting her for her own wedding next year. (Still have fingers crossed!) Communication was great until there was a problem -- then it became like pulling teeth to get a response. It took multiple emails and leaving voicemails just to get someone to reply after we had missing footage from our film (the first look with my Dad, which is a major moment) and I had asked for a few edits of the most important pictures since there were very few of family. We received our gallery after 6 weeks, which was expected, but many of the photos were a disappointment considering the amount of money we paid. In the very little family photos we have, there are people with eyes closed, caught mid-sentence, or blocked. It felt like there was no planning or intention behind what was captured, and there was no organization of how people were placed. The gallery really lacked variety, and on the day of I had attempted to redirect the photographer multiple times, and he just couldn't understand. It made for an insanely chaotic and stressful day of, which is probably why the gallery turned out the way it did. One bridesmaid had solo photos taken of her SIX times, yet somehow there were no groomsmen-only photos with the groom. My mom -- the mother of the bride -- is barely in any photos. The day itself lacked structure and organization when it came to photos. My wedding coordinator had to step in multiple times. The film was the most devestating part. The one moment I truly cared about having on film -- my first look with my dad -- was missing. I wasn't told until after multiple inquiries and almost 3 months after the wedding that the microphones had failed, which is why they decided to just cut it out and not include it in the film. Instead of working with us on a thoughtful fix, they finally located the footage and just slapped on some random music that didn't match the moment at all. It was honestly just sad to see that memory treated so carelessly with no apology at all. One of the owners actually worded it like he did me a favor by saying "I'm happy we were able to get that in your film". Excuse me? I only asked for six photos to be looked at to see if there was a different shot or if they could be fixed , and every time I ask about it -I get ghosted. No updates, no accountability. If you can't find a different shot of the same picture or edit it, just let me know that then instead of leaving me in the dark. The owner was warm and responsive early on, but once something went wrong, that professionalism disappeared. It became clear that once they've been paid, you're no longer a priority. You don't get a second chance at your wedding memories. Although upset, I still was understanding in my initial phone call and follow up emails with Jay. I even reiterated that I know we could not go back and find pictures that were not taken, but if we could just make some adjustments to the existing photos -that would help. I was told that this could absolutely be done, and it still hasn't. Inexcusable. I understand that business owners can't answer emails immediately and things take time, but ghosting for weeks is ridiculous. I only received a vague response after I would call and leave voicemails. If this was something that they truly needed more time to work on, then update me and keep me in the loop while I patiently wait 6 additional weeks and have sent a follow up to touch base. A little communication would have gone a long way here, and that's where everything went wrong. It's the lack of effort to rectify this in a professional and timely manner that I have a big issue with. I have already cautioned against using this company to my engaged friends because of how this matter was handled. *Sharing this experience to warn others because as a bride, it is incredibly difficult to choose a wedding vendor and you should be made to feel like a priority.*
