They are good, honest people. Got the job done and did it right. They were up front with the cost…read moreand also very reasonable. We hope not to have any more needs with our 50 year old septic tank but will definitely call them if we do.

I had them come out to pump my 1,000 gallon tank and was quoted 485 over the phone. The reason I…read morecalled them was because my bathroom had smelled a bit like sewer the last two days and then the morning I called them, the shower wasn't draining as quickly as it had. The last time we had the tank pump was 5 years ago so I figured that's what it needed. They have this bait and switch scam where they tell you it's going to be $485 to pump it but then they show up and they tell you there's an over full fee of $200 and if you happen to have any Kleenex or wipes in your septic system they charge you another $150 trash fee. So by the time you get your septic tank cleaned out it could cost you almost $1,000! They advertise $485 to get you in the door but then they jack up the price with extras. You're better off just to pay a competitor $600 and not get up charged at all. They will do everything for $600 and not add on charges. Ridiculous things. There are a lot of septic tank companies in the Atlanta and Douglasville area. Before hiring this company, please get a few estimates and don't fall for there their price. Gimmick to get them on your property. EDIT TO RESPOND TO OWNER'S COMMENT: Has there ever been a routine? $485 pumping? I can almost guarantee the answer to that question is no. You use the $485 to get people to let you come on to their property. Once you're on their property you have a $285 cancellation fee if they reject your up charges and high pricing. You've got this scam really well figured out and I hope future customers understand what you're doing. It's very obvious. In the future I will just go with the middle priced septic guy and if they try to up charge me with trash fees or digging fees or over full fees I will tell them no thank you and call the next person. I think it's very shady what you're doing with this bait and switch pricing tactic. The only reason you gave me a $50 discount is because I told you that I would have to get some more price quotes from other companies before I committed to the high price with the upcharges. Only then did you quickly offer me a $50 discount. I knew if I didn't accept the offer and turned him away, I would end up paying your $285 cancellation fee. So yeah you guys are cheesy as heck and it's really sad. You should be reported to the better Business bureau and probably criminally as well.

Kenny was very respectful, knowledgeable and explained the details of what and why we needed it and was not pushy about using their company. When asked if he could do the work while he was there, he went to the store to get a few parts and had the needed work done in no time. He even went out of his way to explain about possible other requirements that the installers may also ask about. Was extremely helpful with advise! We did not get other estimates to compare prices but the service was excellent and would definitely use him again!

Kenny arrived as promised in the window quoted and was able to both diagnose and fix the sewage ejection pump problem the same day. I need to reiterate that this was at the very end of the day on a Friday whereas most plumbers couldn't make it out until Monday or Tuesday the following week - talk about above and beyond! He offered two different potential fixes as well as a stop gap fix in the event we wanted to delay a fix for little longer. I'm always so appreciative of someone who doesn't immediately go for the most expensive fix. Kenny really listened to our needs as we deliberated which one we were interested in moving forwards with and was never pushy. We ended up going with the full pump replacement because he had built up trust and really knew what he was talking about, so we were confident he'd do it right to produce the longest term benefit. The price was fair and the work was top notch. He fixed our problem efficiently and effectively, and described everything with the perfect level of detail. He even recommended some good preventative/damage mitigating recommendations that we could invest in ($12 water alarm from Amazon) in case an issue were to arise again in the basement. This company is amazingly customer centric, they absolutely wowed me with their service and care. Kenny and Clog Dawg will be our first call going forward for all our plumbing needs. You have a customer for life!

The man on the phone, who I was later told was Andrew the owner, asked me questions about how many bathrooms, bedrooms our house has, how long we've owned it, when it was built, have we ever had it pumped before, does it have a quick access cover for pumping and the big question- do I know where it is? I answered all of the questions and told him I do not know the location but I know where the clean out pipe comes out of the house. Price quoted was $375! To install one of the easy quick access covers it would be $600. I asked how much to pump it with one of those. He said $300. I said I think we'll pass on that. We will either be moved or dead before that would pay off for us. He said they can't guarantee how bad the grass will be torn up with an excavator trying to find the tank I told him, I understand. Over the next 2.5 weeks I talked with several people who want to come on days I'm not here. I spoke with Jason, Andrew, Josh, and someone at the cell number I was given for Carter's. Finally Josh comes today and he's very nice. He tries to not tear up anymore grass than he has to with the excavator. However, he can't find the tank. He calls for help and Tony comes with another older gentleman. Tony calls environmental health dept to see if they have a schematic from the time the house was built and septic was put in. He said they will send the sketch to him on his phone if they have one. The other two keep using a probe and metal locator trying to follow the clean out pipe. Tony says environmental health must not have any info or they would have already sent it. He says he can bring in a camera to locate the tank at $400 an hour or keep tearing up our yard. I opted for tearing up the yard but he tells me later that isn't free. It will be $88 an hour to keep tearing up the yard and looking for the tank. I told him I was quoted $375 to find the tank and pump it out. He said he's sorry but that's what it will be. The older man who's doing all the work chimes in with how he's been doing this for over 20 years and the tank is either here or there but it could take all day to dig and find it and no way is that going to only be $375. I asked who makes the prices? Tony said Andrew owns the company and makes the prices but he (Tony) has the authority to change once they get in the field. I told him I was told $375 and nothing was said about a rate per hour for labor and Andrew knew I didn't know exactly where the tank was. Tony said let me explain what Andrew meant. I said, you explain when someone doesn't understand a statement. I wasn't told anything about it costing more than $375 so there's nothing to explain. I told him you don't tell a customer a price then get to their house and start adding on cost the customer should have been made aware of in the beginning. I said that's duping like a bait and switch and that's wrong. He said well we can't do it for $375. I said then pack it up and go. They did rake the dirt, grass and pine straw back that they had torn up but I didn't pay them and I won't. Don't think what they quote you is the price it will be. I trusted these people at their word. By the way, I called Floyd County Environmental Health, gave them my address, subdivision and lot number for them to look up my inspection report from when my house was built. They had it with a drawing of my septic tank location. Don't use these people.
