Unfortunately, on Wednesday, June 25, I called them and described the problems I was having with my HVAC System. I was told someone would be at my house on Thursday, June 26, 2025 or Friday, June 27, 2025. Since they were unable to make it, I called them Friday morning, June 27, 2025. The Office Manager confirmed Rick had my ticket and would call me today when he was on the way to my house. As a result, I was unable to attend a funeral of a friend that was scheduled on this day. At 2:19pm, I received a call from someone named Todd. He left a message stating I needed to find someone in Douglasville to service my HVAC System. I tried to call him back for about an hour but I kept receiving a message stating "User Blocked." If I had been told on Wednesday they no longer provided services in Douglasville, I would have had time to find someone else. However, to wait until a Friday afternoon to inform me they were backing out is totally unprofessional in my opinion, especially when the temps are do high. Considering how T&C treats their customers, neither the company I operate nor I will use them in the future. Thank God, Abrams Heating & Air in Cedartown agreed to come to my house tomorrow, Saturday, June 28, 2025 to repair my HVAC system.

On Friday at 2:19pm, the owner of T&C said they were no longer servicing my area. If they were professionals, they would have told me that on Wednesday when I first called them in my opinion.

    I would strongly advise against using this company. Last April 2025, we had our A/C unit replaced…read moreby them for nearly $9,000--a hefty investment that I now question if a replacement was even necessary, especially after reading some of the other reviews on here, but that's a separate issue. Despite having a brand-new system, by fall 2025, the unit was heating our home improperly. They came out and "fixed" it, but the problems didn't end there. Fast forward to two weeks ago during the ice storm in Gwinnett--the coldest weekend of the winter so far--and we were left without heat downstairs. I called Cochran around Wednesday, knowing even colder weather and snow were forecasted for the weekend. The female customer service representative was pleasant and promptly scheduled a technician visit for Friday, January 30th. The technician diagnosed the problem as an incompatible thermostat. He replaced the downstairs thermostat with a Honeywell Home Focus Pro P200 and charged me $397 for the unit. After installation, the heat seemed to be working. I also purchased their maintenance membership plan for $89, which includes two service visits per year. So, I ended up paying nearly $500 for this service call. Here's the kicker: that thermostat, which they charged me nearly $400 for, can be purchased online for about $59. And despite this costly replacement, the heat still didn't work because the unit had been installed incorrectly. When they came back out to fix or properly configure it, they still charged me $40 for the visit--even though both the maintenance technician and the owner/manager admitted it was their fault. The last technician who came out was very nice, professional, and explained everything throughout the process. He told us the problem wasn't the thermostat but that the unit had been installed incorrectly. To be honest, he seemed very trustworthy. Yet, shortly afterward, the manager told me the technician was wrong and insisted that the thermostat was the problem--but just configured incorrectly. With these conflicting explanations, I have no idea what to believe. What I do know is that they took my money, charged us for the service call, and left us without heat for an entire weekend during subfreezing temperatures. When I spoke with the manager, he did apologize, but there was absolutely no attempt to offer any discount or refund for the inconvenience and poor service. This company's service is not only unreliable but also unethical. They show no accountability for their mistakes and treat customers unfairly by charging for repairs and visits caused by their own errors. Save yourself the frustration, expense, and risk--do not trust this company with your HVAC needs. As a homeowner in this economy, and with how hard I work for our money, it's unfortunate to have to deal with businesses that lack integrity.
