I recently stayed here during a summer trip to Deer Valley, so I did not have a chance to enjoy any skiing. The hotel seemed well-located, as we were able to walk to Main Street and the local grocery store. The lobby of the hotel is beautiful, as is the outdoor courtyard. Here, you can see the mountains surrounding you while you hang out in the pool or hot tub- pretty amazing. The room itself was ok. We had a nice balcony (our room didn't really have a view but I could see that many rooms would) and a large jacuzzi tub. The carpet was perpetually damp and we had to walk through the parking garage to get to our room. My understanding is that the units are individually-owned, and so visiting some of my friends' rooms, could see a noticeable difference in quality and cleanliness in each room. Many of the units are huge- like apartments- but have individual bedrooms that can be locked off and rented out separately. We booked a regular room through the hotel and we were in one of these locked off units. We could hear everything that the family next to us said, did, etc. I felt it was pretty awkward. read more

1/5 Stars: Disappointing stay, hidden third-party booking trap, and unhelpful management. Third-Party Lockdown: We booked through an outside site, only to find out upon arrival that our room was managed by a third-party rental company. Zero Resort Privileges: Because of who we booked through, the front desk told us we were barred from basic property amenities and pool access. Outdated and Cramped: The room itself felt tired, dark, and nothing like the bright photos online, with a cramped underground garage that had tight, hazardous turns. This is a nice place to stay if you're in Park City. Large rooms with a mini-kitchen and a balcony, free parking, hot tubs, pool, restaurant, shuttle, and other amenities onsite. This is a pretty nice resort. You can tell it is nice when the carpet in the room is super soft and comfortable to walk on. The views from the resort is pretty amazing too of the mountains. I came during summer but I can't imagine how pretty this place must be when it is winter. There are a lot of summer activity here in Park City such as mountain biking, hiking, swimming, eating, and other things. My favorite is just nature and how calm this place is. The parking to elevator to the room is so close which is great. Parking is on the lowest level and when you enter the garage be careful of oncoming cars. The spots are a bit tight but it's manageable. The room itself has a fridge, a microwave, and a sink. The bath had a mini jacuzzi which is fantastic. Wifi was really fast. The only issue I had was when I was going into the lobby my key didn't register as well as I had hope it would. I came for a conference so without them I probably wouldn't have known about this place. St Regis is really close by and they have a free shuttle that takes you to main street. Definitely take advantage of that! There is also a free bus that you can take. Stayed 8/2 - 8/5. Rate was an incredible $125 a night. read more

4.5 Stars PROS: -Complementary Cadillac SUV take you to anywhere you need to within a 4 mi radius. We used this to go down to Main Street. They also pick you up; just give them a call when you're ready. -Comfortable bed. -TV: lots of Dish Channels; there is also a DVD player -Bathroom: bathtub with jets! -Small kitchenette that included a microwave, sink, fridge, and microwave. It even included utensils and plates for you to use. -Pool/Jacuzzi: self serve ice cold water & towels. -Underground parking lot CONS: -Bathroom: It's small. If you were sitting on the toilet you would not be able to open the door. A few of the jets in the tub wasn't working. -Our room was next to the maid closet so whenever they go in and out, it sounded like as if someone was opening our door. -Keep your room key away from your phone! Avoid! The rooms are grimy and we found multiple bugs during our stay, including a spider in our bed. The worst part of our trip was the last night. For some reason the Lodges thought it was appropriate to host a party with music in the courtyard directly outside our hotel room that went late into the night. I called the front desk three times to ask when it would end and no one answered the phone. When I called the hotel's main line they said they weren't aware of a party (in their own courtyard!?) and would look into it, but the party continued without interruption. They also serve iced coffee ($7.56), which was in fact a hot coffee and a cup of ice, even though they list iced coffee on their menu. read more

This place is beyond beautiful, the staff are so friendly and accommodating, and the scenery is so breathtaking, you'd think you were looking at a backdrop for a movie. The Lodges have two and three bedroom cabins/suites. Well worth the price to share a cabin with others. Everything is so clean and perfect! Some rooms have patios with jacuzzis so you can enjoy the clear night sky. You guys, you can SEE the stars here. This resort will always have a place in my heart. Tired, very tired. This is most definitely NOT a hotel. You are renting condos with spare rooms tucked in here and there. Was here for a wedding so I didn't have much choice. The place must have something in its day, but its showing its age. The "stone" facade, or rather the thin stone veneering on the outside was falling off all over the place. Retaining walls were crumbling. Needs tuckpointing. The smaller landscaping needs more than "re-imagining" - it needs to be nuked and done over for the most part. I figure this is not an issue in the winter as the snow would cover just about everything. The staff was either fantastic or needs go back to hotel school. I went to the front desk after check-in a couple of times and 3-4 people would be standing around behind the desk talking to each other and would scatter as I approached, leaving a clerk on the far side of the setup to deal with me. I suppose one clerk didn't escape the first time as they were on the phone and other time they were busy with paper work. Housekeeping was wonderful. They cleaned up kitchen and loaded the dishwasher - nice touch. The only problem with housekeeping was there seemed be only one crew working the whole building. Saw them working at 8:30 in the morning (earliest I was out and about) and saw them still servicing rooms at 5:30 pm. Earliest we had in a week was 2pm and the latest was 4:30pm. Not so cool if you want to take an afternoon nap. read more

Wow, just wow. I usually don't get excited over accommodations but Lodges is as good as it gets. Disclaimer: the rooms are not as super-high end as other places in Deer Valley. In fact, they could use a little renovating. Finding electrical outlets was a major pain, something that could be alleviated by simply putting in lamps that include outlets on the base. The rustic decor throughout the building, however, gave the appropriate "mountain lodge feel" and didn't verge on feeling outdated or dirty. My ENORMOUS two-bedroom unit included the mountain standards like a fireplace, leather couches, and gorgeous, snowy mountain views. Oh, did I mention that my unit included two-story, floor-to-ceiling windows, full kitchen (and two mini-kitchens), two couches, three bathrooms, two king size beds and one bunk-bed set...all for the summer price of around $300 a night? Crazy! This place is in Deer Valley, right? To top that off, you're also treated to an enormous, and free, continental breakfast every morning. That includes waffles, eggs, steel-cut oatmeal, pastries, croissants, fruit, bread, cereal, tea, coffee, juice, etc. If you don't feel like walking to town after gorging, you can also take the complimentary shuttle down to Park City or over to one of the other Deer Valley lodges. But, overall, the best part of my stay was dealing with the staff. They went out of their way to help us -- from clearing snow paths during a gathering we had outside (we weren't using the hotel's meeting spaces) to making dinner reservations -- and they made our stay the best it could be. I recently stayed at the Silver Baron Lodge, which is part of the Lodges at Deer Valley. I went with my girlfriend, and another couple for a New Years getaway. We rented a two bedroom, three bathroom suite. It was basically a one bedroom suite, complete with kitchen, living room area, two bathrooms, laundry, and a hot tub on the patio... Then an adjoining room to make it a 3/2. The suite was beautiful and probably close to 1500 square feet in total. It was great having so much space to sprawl out after long days of skiing. Even nicer to have a full kitchen so that we could eat in every now and then. The lodge includes a free shuttle from 8AM to 11PM that will take you anywhere you want to go in the Park City area. Even though we had rented a car, we used the shuttle more than our rental car. The lodge also includes a concierge service which is really helpful. There is continental breakfast every morning, but we never took advantage of it since we had a kitchen. It was a great experience and I would definitely come back. I might even have a New Years tradition. FYI: We booked the room via expedia.com and paid 1/3 the rate that was quoted on the Lodge's own website. The Lodge's website quoted around $1500/night, we got the suite booked for around $550/night. It might just be a result of the economy these days, but I would definitely recommend shopping around before booking. read more

The Lodges is a very nice hotel experience located just beneath Snow Park Lodge at the base of Deer Valley ski resort. I visited in October, but I'm sure they will shuttle you up to the slopes every morning. Main Street in Park City is maybe 5 minutes away by car, so the location is very good - just a notch below a ski-in/ski-out setup. I have only good things to say about the place. The decor is timber, steel & glass - just what a ski lodge should look like in my opinion. The service & the food were both exceptional - this is Deer Valley after all. Our group decided to hike Bald Mountain & The Lodges arranged for a shuttle to and fro Silver Lake Lodge higher up the mountain. The room surprised us with a treat: jacuzzi tub. We also took advantage of the hot tub & had some cocktails while soaking on a nice night. It all felt very lavish & top-shelf. Bottom line: it's hard to go wrong at The Lodges. read more

Excellent property - keeps my family coming back year after year. Uncrowded and upscale yet extremely friendly and accommodating staff (they really go all out on service). The flexibility of the room options are truly well designed (you can get a hotel room, a 1 BD suite, or combine them to get a large 2BD suite with 3 sleeping rooms. The kitchen in each suite are really nice - and help in a big way when travelling with a group. Covered underground parking - heated hallways. A.maze.ing. I can't think of a better place to stay while on holidays at deer valley. Our unit was a one bedroom facing the courtyard... Was incredibly decorated, top of lone furniture, appliances, and washer dryer, oh... And must have been 1500 sq ft! Having its own entrance to the courtyard meant we could sip wine with lots of space outside, bring the BBQ right up to our door.. And stumble down to the pool when we wanted to cool off! If we ever come back we will stay here, and request the same room we had. So good. read more

My only issue withe the hotel was the incredibly loud noise our bed made whenever I would turn over. I talked to hotel staff and maintenance and they said it was an owner's issue; there was nothing they could do to fix it. I took the attached picture on our checkout day of the underside of the bed. It is clear that the hotel was aware if the problem and had try to rig up a remedy in the past. I hate complaining but I expect more from a luxury hotel. The bed and a good night sleep are such important parts of any stay. read more

Deer Valley is host to many a conferences including Search Insider Summit each year. Needless to say, it is a popular ski destination for serious ski enthusiasts. The rooms are very well appointed. The fireplace and furniture gives the rooms a very cabin-esque feel. They remind me of the Pines Lodge in Beaver Creek, CO. Food is good here, but the resort does not win out just on food. Skiing here is really top notch with a number of great slopes. Utah's state law requires alcohol to be diluted (yes a regular bottle of beer has half the alcohol in UT). So try to sneak in your own alcohol into UT if you can. read more

"Please login and print out your reservation" At this point, intimate knowledge of price line is neither confirmed nor denied. I log into my email , getting odd little nods from other travelers, who either mistake me for service or one of them. " The printer is jammed". A fine soliloquy . Then we attempt again. The clerk prints out the form, then checks me in " sorry about the wait" OK, so manners are present. I wonder will I picked comped a little something... crickets. The Key ritual, then off I go. Should I have asked for a late check out, for the sake of universal symmetry? Still too knackered. When I check out, I leave late anyway, and no one bothers anyone else. By the way -Yes, you will get the humble transit van for your shuttle, but that's OK. PC has too many SUVs as it is. The punchline is- nice place, especially the front lodge. But for top dollar? This place was perfect for our weekend in Park City. The staff was friendly and accommodating. It was easy to get around as they offer free shuttles to Main St and other places in the area. We were there for a wedding and we were able to arrange transport to the venue without any problem. We were also in close proximity to some great hiking. I am currently staying here. Maybe my expectations would be different if I was here to ski instead of here on business. I feel a bit like a rat in a maze trying to find my way around this place, as effective signage is a bit lacking. I can honestly hear everything going on in the room next to me. The bed is just average in comfort. Found it odd that there was not a bottle of water in my room, as dry as it is up here. Luckily their tap water is pretty good. Their restaurant is pretty pricey for what it is. Their staff is ok. Worth noting that it is hard to get a ride to the airport in the off season. Tried to cancel the last night of my stay to go ahead and get to and stay at the airport, but they are unable to accommodate me in any way. read more

Great place for family and fun. Well located in Lower Deer Valley. The staff is wonderful. The shuttle takes you anywhere you want to go in Park City. That enable us to leave our car parked most of the time. We have stayed in other places in Lower Deer Valley. This is the best place by far due to the quality of the facility, the amenities including the shuttle and the store, and the location. It is not Ski in and Ski out, but with the shuttle, it may as well be. read more

I had a super good experience here at the lodges. I was here at a corporate alliance networking summit. The entire hotel is beautiful with a rustic true mountain lodge feel. Never again! My first time to park city/ deer valley... I didn't know better. We started off our trip with 8 hour travel time. We finally get to the hotel after 4pm only to find out our room isn't ready. I know that happens at some hotels. My kids and I hung out in the lobby for about an 1 hour. Not a good start though. I paid $634 a night for a 1 bed 2 bath condo. To make things worse, I find out going through hotels.com I could have got it for $220 a night! .. They gave me room 5329. The condo was nice and big with a master bedroom upstairs just like they sold me in January... When walking in, I notice I had access to a adjoining room 5331? Which I thought was weird since it was its own 1 bed 1 bathroom place. My son walked up the stairs IN the condo to find out that room IN the condo was a door that was locked!? I hear a dog barking!? On the other side of door was a family with a dog?!? Nobody answered his knocking but I could hear them. Wtf!? So I guess the room I was to sleep in is a single bedroom connected to the condo. A separate hotel room!? I asked the front desk and what they did is break up a 3 bedroom condo and it seemed to be no big deal to them... It was weird sitting in my living room watching TV and hearing a couple and dog barking right upstairs!?! I was told these condos are owned by individuals ... I'm guessing the one that owns 5329 didn't want to leave!?! And to add to this, the person who owns my connecting room 5331 didn't want to spend money on a good mattress!? This piece of crap had to be at least 20 years old.. I had the worst sleep! Another thing that happened on this great vaca, I asked 3 times for someone to fix the fireplace in my condo. Nobody came by. I didn't have time for this BS because my kids got sick the first night from food poisoning at their restaurant (the mac and cheese) and the next night my son broke his arm on the mountain so I spent most my trip dealing with that and had to leave a day early. Of course I didn't get any refund for leaving early on last night because I didn't buy the travel insurance they offer. I'm told there are much better choices like the condos at silver star... This is the cheapest most backwards high priced hotel I have ever been in. The lodges at Deer Valley are not worth the money. At least the high priced SHARED condo I stayed in. Smh. read more

My wife booked a room through booking.com a few months ago. When we arrived our reservation was lost. The person "helping" us seemed pretty lost and very unhelpful. They went back and grabbed their manager Charlie or Chase we can't remember his exact name, who fixed our situation and even helped us to our room. We were told we would pay when we checked out so the next morning another incompetent employee who I believe was a different manager tried charging us almost 150 dollars more than the deal we booked online. After many awkward exchanges we had to "prove" that we got that deal that we did on my wife's phone. How embarrassing for us. We appreciated the room and the amenities but the morning staff really didn't give a shit about the "discount customers." Won't be back, thanks Charlie for carrying my wife's bags to our nice room! read more

I've stayed here a half dozen times and our family has always enjoyed it. They have upped their game on free shuttle service up to the ski area and around town. The drivers are friendly and arrive quickly. I especially appreciate the concierge, Donna, who helped with many aspects of our trip--arrangements for airport transfers and help with finding rental skis during the busy New Year's week. The only downside is the nearby Deer Valley ski resort was bought out by a big corporation. They sell way too many tickets and the lines were ridiculous for a ticket costing over 200 dollars a day. Day-before reservations for a ski lesson are no longer available. All ski rentals at the ski area were sold out. Lines for complimentary overnight ski storage were 30 minutes plus. Then , the line to get on the chair-another 30 minutes.This is not the "Deer Valley Experience" of yonder years that was worth the extra money. However, should you choose to visit, I highly recommend The Lodge's. read more
