Just checked out of a one-night stay at Summit Watch. We were pleased overall with our stay, with a couple of complaints. Checked in earlier than 4pm and our room was ready. The spacious layout would easily accommodate a family. I've never seen a MVC with a kitchen island and a table for 6. The seating in the living room was ample and everything was updated and in good repair. Of course the location is unbeatable, right on Main Street and across the street from the town lift for ski season. We strolled the town, but ended up driving elsewhere to eat dinner. Parking is simple and located underground. We had no charge as vacation club owners. However, when leaving this morning, we discovered that our car was covered with a dirty splattering of film. We were parked in front of a fenced area of air conditioning units and also saw a drip from overhead pipes. Something must have sprayed out from that area in the front and right side of the car at some point. The windshield wiper fluid had a hard time getting it off so we're hoping it washes off at the car wash! Another oddity was the laminated note in the unit which detailed check out procedures. Usually, when I check out I start the dishwasher as a courtesy and leave the room very tidy. But, this note also requested gathering the towels to the vanity AND stripping the beds of all linens. I have never seen this request at a vacation club or hotel, only at an Airbnb. This is a full-service facility with full-time cleaning staff. There is no reason to ask guests to do this and the request will certainly infuriate many guests who already don't understand that vacation clubs don't have all of the services of a regular hotel. I hope that management sees the folly of this idea. In general, we enjoyed our short stay and were impressed by the room and staff, but hope that management thoughtfully considers our experience and checks the parking area for leaks. read more

Recently visited Marriott Summit - missed the snow by a few weeks but was still a cute resort in Park City. Pros: Spacious villa, clean, safe, great walking distance, covered parking. Walkable into town - really cute Main Street. Perfect location if you are skier (when season is open). Units were quiet for most part - however could def hear the folks directly above us. Cons: Couch beds like paper - do not recommend for anyone outside of tiny young children. Only a few elevators - super slow. Parking spaces are tight- had regular size suv and would not go any larger. They want you to run DW, take out trash, wash towels, gather linens upon leaving when you are an owner. While I want to be helpful I'm also on vacation, have paid for the timeshare, pay ownership maintenance dues for upkeep and should not have to feel like I need to fully clean upon leaving. We did help but the only trash cans were in parking level and we were on 3rd floor - very inconvenient. Didn't like the fact they asked all that. read more

We chose this Marriott because it is in the heart of downtown in the thick of Main Street. We checked in for 2 nights & checking in was a mess. There were hoards of people all with large groups. We learned that this is a vacation club & there were no perks. There is no breakfast, no club room, parking is $25 daily ... We were given a property map, restaurant recommendations, & told to go to the Welcome Center. At the welcome center we were given a packet with 10% off a few shops and restaurants. We were offered a deal to come back for 3 days paying $200 & additional $300 or $400 when we stay. Check-in was at 4 o'clock and check out at 10 in the morning . We drove in reverse to the underground parking lot & went to the Alpine lodge room 5408. There are 6 lodges with restaurants, a pool & fitness center at the other end of the property. Our small room had a microwave, small refrigerator, dishes for 2, a safe, an outdated drip coffee pot for one cup, 1 luggage rack & no view. I was surprised that a van was bringing guests from another Marriott to our hotel. The pool was packed with lots of children. The water pressure was good, the king bed was plush & comfortable, and the air-conditioning kept us cool. The ceiling fan over a bed was a plus. I discovered that a vacation club isn't for us. All of the amenities here we have at home. After traveling for almost a month, the room was very tight. There was no housekeeping nor refreshing of items in the room. We went to a local market to shop for coffee, milk, soap, napkins... Marriott provided a list of where to take out our garbage recyclables and how to change bedding... on the way to the garbage room there was broken glass. read more

Regarding our experience with the check in attendant on 7/11/26, I am handicapped and need to sit to shower. When checking in we requested a shower chair (they cost $25-50) we were told they would send one. After waiting for several hours we called and spoke to him again. He stated that they did not have any and would not be providing any assistance. When I said "so I have to go without a shower for a week" he said "you could" and suggested I go by one for my stay. I am extremely disappointed in Marriott as a company. Upon receiving my complaint the resort manager went and bought a chair for me to use. It's a shame the person we dealt with first didn't try to find a solution. Thank you Mark for your help. read more

Can't beat the location - right on Main Street, and short walk to the bus stops on Park Street, and bus terminal to take you to Deer Valley. Always enjoy the convenience of a timeshare, with full kitchen, dining room, living room (with desk, which I appreciated), gas fireplace and two full bedrooms. We were in 1407-1408, - 2-bedroom lock-off in the Pioneer building, near the indoor/outdoor pool,, jacuzzi and game room. It officially sleeps 8 - two in the primary bedroom, 4 in the 2nd bedroom w/ king sized bed and sofa bed, and 2 on the sofa bed in the living room, but we had 5 adults, and I don't think you'd want more adults than that. There's a few activities each day. Some of our group did the free stretch classes, free snow shout tours. And I stopped by for a free apple cider. We cooked most our meals in, and the concierge recommended ordering at Smiths online for delivery. Don't think I'd do that again. Many of the items we ordered were substituted, many not delivered at all, and some duplicates delivered. I'd recommend taking the bus to Fresh Market, and walk up the street to the State Liquor store if you're looking for wine and/or spirits. All the staff was SO friendly and helpful, including all the front desk staff, the snowshoe guides, Katy and Elizabeth, the engineer who got the Sundance movies playing on our TV via HDMI, and housekeeping staff who quickly brought over everything we asked for (extra Kleenex, dish towels, bathrobes, etc.). Overall, a great home base for skiing Deer Valley, exploring the historic Park City area, and enjoying Sundance! read more

A Marriott Timeshare. Located on Main Street in Park City, the buildings are all 4 story. There is a small outdoor pool. The studio room is on the small side, but the bed is super comfortable! Pillows are nice as well. Laundry is down in the garage. Parking is complimentary for guests and it is all under the buildings. A typical timeshare, a great location for the summer, in the winter there is a sky bridge that takes you over the street close to ski lifts. read more

We stayed in a one bedroom suite and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The hotel itself was very nice and in a fantastic location. We could walk all around Park City downtime, and if there was snow, there was a ski lift conveniently located right across the street. Deer Valley is just a 10 minute drive away as well. The parking is very convenient - they give you a parking pass you can use to go into and out of their garage at any time during your stay. The room itself was nice and spacious. The one bedroom had a sofa bed, so four of us were able to stay there comfortably. There is a full kitchen as well. We stayed during Thanksgiving, so it was nice they included a turkey tray for those who wanted to do some Thanksgiving cooking. The only thing they don't have are all the perishables such as oil, spices, etc. Other than that, all the utensils and non-perishable kitchen items are stocked. We would definitely stay here again next time we go to Park City. read more

Booked a room for $250 and then was charged another $25 for parking. They told me I would not be charged for parking. Now they won't refund the charge. Horrible service and no trustworthy. Will never stay at a marriott again. All other places dont charge for parking. read more

I've stayed at a lot of timeshare properties and this one is in pretty good shape. We visited over 4th of July weekend and while it wasn't empty, it also never felt overly crowded. They had nice grills and grilling tools. Everything in our unit was clean and in good repair. The elevator was broken a couple times throughout our trip and generally sounded like it was a little tired, but not a huge deal. I do also wish they had an adult or quiet pool or area. There were large groups of rowdy kids at the pool every time we tried to go. All things considered, this is a pretty good property. I'm sure it's hopping during ski season! read more

We're well aware that the pandemic has left the world with a culture of lazy businesses that thrive on offering less while charging the same, or more, and this hotel is no exception. Upon checking in, we were told that the "housekeeping team will ensure that (our) room is refreshed every other day". Despite specifically confirming that our room would be serviced the night before (this isn't our first rodeo), our family of four returned from a full day of skiing to find no service whatsoever. Forgive me, but I'm on vacation. I'm paying for service. I should not have to be making beds and dumping trash. For the record, we were perfectly fine with the "every other day" expectation, but they even failed at that level of mediocrity. Recall that the 2002 Winter Olympics venue was in and around Salt Lake City, Utah (http://www.olympic.org/uk/games/past/index_uk.asp?OLGT=2&OLGY=2002.) Utah boasts a number of world class skiing mountains: Alta, Beaver Mountain, Brian Head, Brighton, The Canyons, Deer Valley, Park City Mountain, and Powder Mountain (http://www.skiutah.com/.) We selected Park City and skied all the nearby mountains. Interval International lists nine resorts near Park City. Of these resorts three are Premier Resorts, and three are Select Resorts. Interval International has determined to use the concepts Premier Resorts and Select Resorts because of the inconsistencies in the annual report of Five-Star resort. To a degree, I can understand, because there have been times that we traded into a "Five-Star" that clearly was overrated. Our resort company of choice is Marriott, and we have discovered several Marriott properties that clearly are not Five-Star, or Premier Resorts, or even Select Resorts. Our resort of choice is Marriott's Summit Watch that is located in the village of Park City. Marriott maintains a second resort, Marriott's Mountain Side that is of course, located on the Park City ski mountain (http://www.intervalworld.com/web/cs?a=1502&areaCode=550.) We chose Marriott's Summit Watch (http://www.intervalworld.com/web/cs?a=1503&resortCode=MSW&parentResortCode=MSW or P.O. Box 4109, Park City, UT 84060, 435-647-4100) primarily because we wanted to ski a variety of Utah's mountains. Since Marriott's Summit Watch is located on Main Street in Park City, we were able to save nearly one-half hour in driving to other destinations. Check in proceeded with no wait or difficulty. Marriott's Summit Watch is a smaller Marriot property, and more skiers preferred Marriott's Mountain Side for ski in, ski out advantages. The two bathrooms, two bedrooms units are smaller than many Marriott properties, and while the unit is nicely appointed, I missed the four-six sliding glass doors that many Marriott's provide. I also missed an outdoor balcony even in ski season. Nevertheless Marriott's Summit Watch exuded coziness. The swimming pool is heated, and several outdoor hot tubs provided the opportunity to be outside during the evening snowfall. These features are appreciated. These units provided all the standard amenities that are common to the newer Marriott's properties (http://www.intervalworld.com/web/cs?a=1503&resortCode=MSW&parentResortCode=MSW.) Unfortunately, the Interval International website provides only two photos, and more photos should be available to assist tourist in decision-making. Utah promotes its skiing as the greatest skiing on earth. Who knows? I have skied all the Rocky Mountain States, Whistler and Blackcomb, New England, the Midwest, central Atlantic mountain states, and the Cascades. Skiing is great in Utah, and the resorts are second to none. We tend to enjoy western towns that have a real history: In 1868 prospecting Army soldiers discovered rich silver veins in the hills above what would become Park City. George Snyder, a Mormon polygamist, built a boarding house with his third wife Rhoda near the present Town Lift to profit from the mining trade.... [In 1963] The last surviving mining company in Park City, United Park City Mines, turned to skiing with help from a federal loan meant to revive economically depressed rural towns. In Park City, the $1.2 million dollars bought a gondola, base and summit lodges, a chairlift, a J-bar, and a nine-hole golf course. The resort was called Treasure Mountain Resort. Mine company officials urged townspeople to hang on to their real estate because, they said, "it will be valuable someday." At the time, a town lot and house were worth about $500 (http://www.parkcitymountain.com/winter/company/park_city_history.) Following a day of skiing, there is a real après ski opportunity in Park City, and most of these venues are within walking or a short drive from Marriott's Summit Watch. As one might expect, there are a number of Park City restaurants serving a variety of cuisine, from "fast food" to more elegant establishments. Several nearby grocery stores will provide fresh produce, meats, fish, ... for the condo kitchen. Marriott's Summit Watch has a limited store for late night check ins. For those who choose to indulge, there are several bars and carryout liquor stores in Park City (http://www.parkcity.com/listings.cfm?subcategory=161.) We found Utah skiing to be great, and we desire to recommend Deer Valley Resort. Deer Valley Resort may not have the absolute best skiing, but there are many skiers who will argue that Deer Valley Resort is the best. Still #1! Deer Valley was named the number one ski resort in North America by readers of SKI magazine in 2008 and again in 2009. Since opening in 1981, Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah has become known for its revolutionary approach to ski area service. read more

Wow...Just wow. From check in to check out, everything about our experience at Marriott Summit Watch was A+. Zachary checked us in and asked if we were celebrating anything. When we told him it was our anniversary, he went out of his way to make sure we had a amazing experience. My only regret is when we were leaving I seeked him out to thank and tip him but he wasn't there. Our suite was huge, with a full kitchen and fireplace. The hotel itself is centrally located on Main Street and we were lucky enough to check in during the Silly Sunday Street Festival. (So much fun!) I'm saddened that this year will be the final one but we will return often to Summit Watch. One of the best places we've every stayed at. Highly recommended. read more

It was a bit of a mess with construction during October of 2021. Having to re-route the front office, it was clearly marked in the parking lot on where to go but the temporary lobby/check-in was abhorrently small so during check-in time it was just a mad house. We actually even got here before check-in time and the space was fine, but as our room wasn't ready we came back and it was insane. Getting INTO the room was an adventure as well as not all of the buildings connect directly so we had to go through one certain building to take the correct elevator to our room and the rooms were just ok. As a general rule for all hotels, I wish there was a CLEAR warning AT THE TIME OF BOOKING that the hotel will be under construction. I did receive an e-mail about a month before we got there, but had I known at the time of booking, I would have looked at another hotel. It has all the makings of being a wonderful getaway for families with daily activities and a neat activities center, but the layout was SO confusing and we only had one night here, so we barely had the time to find our way around. I'm hoping the layout was just because of construction. The outdoor pool was small (at least the one that we went to) the one through the activities center. LOCATION: The location alone gets 5 stars. You are walking distance to several restaurants ranging in mid-range to high-end and even some cheap eats. Just outside of the hotel there are a host of HUGE bonfires and benches which was a wonderful touch (not sure if this is Marriott's property or just Park City). read more

Recently went on a road trip from LA to visit Grand Teton, Yellowstone, and Glacier National Parks. We had plenty of stops in between but, this was by far my favorite hotel we stayed at. Hotel is conveniently located to Main Street and parking is available with your stay right beneath the hotel structure. The beauty of it was that after spending 10+ hours in the car, you can leave the car and spend the rest of your time exploring on foot and there is so much to explore. Our party of 4 stayed at a 1 Bedroom Villa and it was beyond spacious. Villa features a cute foyer, generous sized living room (complete with a pull-out couch, large window seating, and desk), comfortable bedroom, bath with oversized jetted tub and vanity, bathroom with shower, laundry closet, full-sized dining table, and full-sized kitchen. I was unable to use the kitchen but, did appreciate the large refrigerator to store some of our road snacks. Moreover, I fully plan on coming back with my family to make use of the kitchen/dining room. Bed was comfortable. My only complaint was that we attempted to use bedding for pull-out couch stored in closet and it did not appear to have been cleaned between guests... Hotel does offer plenty of activities. We did not take advantage of these but, did appreciate the options. Area is very kid friendly. There appears to be plenty of activities for every member of the family. All members of my party were adults, but were not inconvenienced by kids in area. In fact, we were able to walk a few steps to High West Saloon and indulge in some craft cocktails. I highly recommend this place. This place is just clean, spacious, and centrally located. read more

FANTASTIC CONCIERGE! - - - - - - - - November, 2022 Visit For Thanksgiving we visited Park City, UT and had a great time. - - - - - - - - Background We stayed at Summit Watch for two nights on our "out West" trip in the summer of 2017, and we did not know about skiing in Park City, nor, based on discussions, did we expect any snow. Then we called the week before our trip and we learned that they had 42 inches of snow... so we soon had an extra piece of luggage packed with all the cold weather / snow clothes. - - - - - - - - Preparation and Lori the Concierge Extraordinaire We have a ski hill in St. Louis / Eureka, MO - Hidden Valley, and while it's nice and close to our home and fun, it's not the same as 2,000+ foot mountains. So we talked with Lori, the Concierge extraordinaire at Summit Watch a couple times before our trip. Lori helped us determine how to plan for skiing, how to learn more about the pricing of the multi-day Epic passes, and to also plan snowmobiling. Thanks to Lori we has a better time than we ever expected! - - - - - - - - The Location Marriott has two properties in Park City, and Summit Watch is located on Main Street, which is very short drive to Park City Mountain (you could walk, but skiing takes a lot of energy so we recommend driving). - - - - - - - - The Rooms Like many Marriott Vacation Club (MVCI) properties, Summit Watch offers one-bedroom and two-bedroom villas, which are joined through the dual-door connecting door. The one-bedroom side has a refrigerator and coffee maker. The other side has a full kitchen - refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave & dishwasher, and a laundry. The room also has a gas fireplace that starts and tops with buttons... and which puts out a nice amount of heat, which feels good in the morning, after skiing, before bed... well, any time of day. The main room has more space than other properties... it is likely a couple feet wider than we're seen in other properties... and that is a nice thing. At the entrance is a bench and several hooks, great for keeping your coats, boots, etc. These are the best beds we've ever experienced in a Vacation Club - most are so soft our backs hurt... these are just right - - - - - - - - Conclusion Great staff, Lori, the front desk, everyone! They also have gas fireplaces and it looks like each room has the painting of the moose with a silly hat on it.  We all chuckled and smiled - NICE!  The Activity Center plans many things, like at all Vacation Clubs.We got up and got moving for a walk along Poison Creek - named for the runoff when it flowed past the silver and other mines.  The hike was fun, and we saw some awesome flowers... our daughter captures awesome macro close-up images and her pictures from here are awesome.  Caroline was a great hiking guide!Back at the Activity Center we played air hockey and bingo. My family had a great time here over July 4th weekend. The staff was extremely professional in dealing with the difficulties of COVID and always wore masks. They attended to every minor and major request we had when we called the front desk and performed whatever task with urgency. We stored our mountain bikes in a storage room and they were always accommodating with a simple door unlock and never complained no matter how many times we checked them out. Our rooms were very nice. I slept on the pull out couch and it was a perfect night's rest. I also like the Netflix feature on the remote; you can connect your own account to the tv with ease. Showers were always warm. The mini fridge and small kitchen with silverware, plates, and toaster allowed us to eat in the room occasionally. The pool is a great bonus. We played shuffleboard and it was a blast. Lisa, a staff member who works the pool, is one of the best people I've ever met. She's extremely kind, gregarious, and puts her neck out for you. She'd give us the best spot at the pool. She would always send a joke our way. She's overall so great at her job and Marriott is lucky to have hired her. Give her a raise because she goes above and beyond. She knows that hotels are about people and she gives people the best experience. read more

This place is beautiful and we will be coming back. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by 4 very nice front desk staff who were all so helpful and their customer service was great. The room was beautiful and we were lucky enough to be next to the river. This resort leads out to Main Street where there are so many shops, bars and restaurants. The rates in the summer are low-priced. I loved the pool and hot tub as well. We will be back! read more

As Marriott Vacation Club members, we took advantage of a 4 night stay in a deluxe one bedroom villa. We had a wonderful plaza facing room in the Pioneer Building, right across from Baan Thai restaurant, which is excellent, BTW. You can walk anywhere on Main Street and the Olympic Park and Deer Valley are short drives away. The Poison Creek Trail is just outside the property , paralleling Deer Valley Rd. The downsides to this property are very limited activities and a small indoor/ outdoor pool with a fair amount of street noise. read more

Staying at the Marriott's Summit Watch on Main Street is a fantastic way to experience Park City, Utah. The property is located close to the town lift, coffee shops, bars & restaurants. Everything seemed so close and was well within walking distance of the resort. We stayed in one of the resorts king bed villas with a soaking whirlpool tub and fireplace. The villa also included a living room with a a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The villa was spacious, tastefully decorated, clean and had plenty of lighting throughout. Though we would have liked a mountain view over the view of other buildings on the property, it was definitely and enjoyable stay experience. We will be back late fall/early winter in 2020 and look forward to staying at the Marriott's Summit Watch property again. read more

They were undergoing renovations during my stay last week which added a few hiccups. First, finding the "lobby" or really any directions on what is where was challenging. Second, there was no lodge area as it was being renovated. The 10am check out time was inconvenient (especially with no lobby/lodge to hang out at) and I was surprised that they knocked on the door at 10am and 30 seconds to make sure I was leaving. That said, the room was very nice. The suite is very roomy w/ a fireplace, a full kitchen, separate bedroom, jet tub, etc. Down side is that it was facing the highway so pretty noisy. read more

Absolutely wonderful accommodation for a surprise birthday overnight with our teenager! The underground parking was convenient, everything was super clean and our villa had everything we needed. Fully equipped kitchen, super comfy sofa bed, fireplace and if we needed anything staff were only a call away. There were outdoor games like basketball and shuffleboard, a great trail right behind our place and two big fire pits outside at night. Perfectly placed so you can walk out your door and explore main street, grab a bottle of wine, do an escape room, take the lift, walk a trail with neat tunnels. Having been to Salt Lake City a ton of times but never Park City, I was excited to finally get a chance to stay a couple of nights. The hotel, from the lobby to the rooms, has a very mountain cabin vibe, which I thought was perfect considering the setting. Parking was a little confusing as far as where we were supposed to turn in (it's an underground garage) and where we could park (certain parking spaces were not for the hotel). But it was free covered parking so once we got settled, it was fine. Check in was a breeze. We were provided a map of the hotel, plus a map of the area, and a list of complimentary hotel activities that were happening during our stay. One evening I had cocoa and s'mores and the next night, I got to partake in a fun wine tasting. Everyone who worked there was really helpful and friendly. The 1 bedroom suite was huge but it seemed to be a lot of wasted space in the living room. There was only a small couch and armchair that were off center from the TV. The fireplace was wonderful and warm though! Luckily I had a couple books to read because the WiFI was almost non-existent and the cable quality was terrible. Those weren't the reasons we came to stay in the mountains, but still would have been nice if they were better. I'd stay again, especially since the location is within walking distance to everything on Main St. read more

Terrific location! Right on Main Street in Park City! Front desk staff is super friendly and helpful. The Activities Center staff are amazing and fun! We enjoyed all the fun activities and most of them were free. Great service!! The pool area is on the small size for a resort. The hot tubs needed to be cleaned. We've been here three times so we kind of know the place pretty well. The one thing I can say year after year is that the Wi-Fi Internet access absolutely sucks. There's no other word for it - it's the only word I can explain how slow it is and how badly you are connected and get cut off and have to reconnect etc. etc. Only a few TV channels are HD and many others are analog and look bad. They have nice TVs up and then really terrible feeds. Sure, they want you to get outside and spend money but when you are inside after a long day of skiing you don't want to be looking at a TV that looks like your vision has gone bad. The units are adequately furnished. The beds are certainly not as heavenly as those at a Hilton property. There's adequate flatware, cookware and space in the kitchen and eating area of the main unit. This was our first year getting a room off of Main Street, high up, and looking at the hill. It's very slow here so we figured that's how we got all the requests that were made. The only other thing people need to know is that the hot tub is in a separate outside building and you cannot access it without going outside to get there and freezing off your patooties. That's fine for spring, summer and fall but in the dead of winter it's nasty. Certainly that keeps people away from the hot tub area. read more

We booked two connecting rooms here for a one night stay. When we walked into the room the floor was dirty and it didn't look like the room was completely clean. Also, the air conditioning didn't work and it was about 80 degrees in the master room. The smaller room was good except the refrigerator didn't work and we had some food spoil. All in all, I would have given it two or three stars if it was more affordable, but for 475$ a night for two rooms, this was terrible. read more

Marriott never disappoints. Everyone was so accommodating. Best thing about this place was location. Not in the thick of it. At the end so it's a little quieter. They have a decent gym that is really clean. My room was great. I had a view of main street. If you stay in 5308 this is your view. read more

We stayed in a studio room and it was really nice. There was a King bed and a pullout sofa bed. The kitchen was pretty big and there was a giant fireplace. Next to fireplace there was small sitting areas that were very comfortable. There are a bunch of activities to do. Parfait Bar, Yoga, Candy Sushi, Movie in the Pool, etc. Also it is right near the shops on Main Street and the Park Silly Street Fair. read more

This Marriott is not nearly as nice as some of the vacation clubs we have been to, but it really isn't designed to be, so I don't fault them for that. The things that stand out at this Marriott is first and foremost the location. Right next to the gondola's if skiing is your thing (not my thing!). Right on Main Street is all kinds of eating and drinking in the summer is your thing (definitely my thing!). The hotel is very kid friendly if you need that. We do not, so they kindly put us in building 6, away from building 2, the kids and the pool, which made us happy. We are at the Chairman Club level and they left a thank you note for staying with them, which was a nice touch. The room was on the top floor in a corner room by the elevator (never heard it the entire time). It was very quiet (as requested) and we were very pleased with the room. Get free ear plugs from management for the Deer Valley Road noise that starts around 6 am. They worked like a charm! I can't fault them at all for room noise from the road - you are paying for location and it is quiet at night. There is no real view, but this hotel is not designed for that, so we were at least pleased we were not looking into another hotel room or a roof, but instead into a hillside. The front desk is awesome! The Front Desk Manager, Katie, hosted a 4 pm wine and cheese social and talked about all the changes coming to the hotel and then to the Marriott's in general. Then she asked guests for suggestions to improve the property, and really listened to requests. I was impressed! Every property should do this - it can only make the hotel experience better! Another night they had a local craft beer social - excellent beers and a nice touch. The front desk had no problem scanning and emailing me documents I needed, had a daily USA today, and had a nice sitting area. They wanted $4 for the Wall Street Journal, which was kind of insulting since the newsstand price is $1.50, and, with all the kid themes they have you would think they could provide a little perk for us adults. - this is probably my only complaint, and it's not much of one. The stove is electric and so naturally we burned bacon - the smoke alarm immediately went off and our phone rang immediately. In less than 60 seconds we had hotel staff in our room making sure were ok (and presumably not burning the hotel down!). Old Time Wine Cellars is at the bottom of Main Street right next to the hotel - a must for every visit. The No Name Bar up Main Street makes good drinks and the patio is pretty cool. Grappa has to be experienced at least one night! Overall, I have to give this Vacation Club 5 stars - I can't take off stars for the things they cannot control the things like the road noise, kids, etc...which you should understand before you stay there. We would stay here again due to location, excellent service, and the great room they gave us. Had we had another room near a bunch of kids, or the sounds of Main Street on the weekend, this review might be different. We will definitely be back next year - hoping we get 6401 again! read more

I would definitely stay here again. The pool area and hot tub area are enough for me to love! You can check out games and puzzles in the recreational area. There are also tons of things for kids to do in here. I recommend bring flip-flops because the stones are not comfortable to get to the pool/hot tub area and its a bit cold (if your here in the winter months). The only downside is the room walls are paper thin and the light that comes from under the door is a huge amount when the lights are out. However, this is not enough to keep me away. The town lift is so close and it is very convenient, free parking as well (at least pre-season is). This place is fantastic! Although it registers as a 2 1/2 star hotel on hotwire, i think it is just because its compared to the hotels where you get a jacuzzi and such on your deck, this is more like a 3 1/2 star hotel! read more

My husband, son, and I recently stayed at the Marriott Summit Watch. We were surprised and disappointed with the service rendered. To celebrate our wedding anniversary and Thanksgiving, we were excited to visit the above-mentioned resort. We stayed in room 5218 from 11/20/2021 to 11/26/2021. The room itself was clean and it advertised as accommodating up to four people. We are a family of 3. The room seemed to be set up for only two people, (dining chairs, silverware, plates, drinking glasses, towels, etc.). I had to call the front desk to stock the room. They could not provide an extra dining chair so we were not able to sit at the table together. It was very inconvenient! They knew about having to accommodate 3 people since we booked our reservation, but they didn't prepare in advance. There is no excuse for not having enough seating for all the guests that the room can accommodate. There is a reasonable expectation that a listing with room for 4 and use of the kitchen would provide a dining table (could be extensible) and chairs for up to 4 people. I think they could have had at least enough extra folding chairs and an extensible table that can accommodate all guests eating together. The windows were not properly sealed and there was a continuous draft of cold air coming through. We had to put pillows by the windows' frame and turn the heater up to 76 degrees, but only managed a temperature of 65 degrees. That is a lot of wasted energy! This is not our normal experience with Marriott hotels. I felt the need to make you aware so that this situation will not repeat itself for us or future visitors to room 5218. read more
