Long story short upon discovering a serious leak in my roof during the winter of 2015 we contacted them as they had just put a new roof on our house 3 years prior. They didn't return calls. When we finally did reach them they promised to send somebody out who never showed more than once. After complaining and getting somebody to finally show up they claimed to have fixed the problem. When it rained again a couple of weeks later the leak persisted with fervor. When we called to complain we were told by Bobby Boe that it was not his problem because he had taken the business over from his father Robert Boe and that the warranty provided was something that Robert was responsible for. Ironically Robert was retired and Bobby had taken over the business leaving us no alternative but to deal with Bobby. In the end after my husband happened to run into Bobby in a parking lot and cornered him, we got them to come back out and fix the problem. In the meantime the leak has caused dry rot down an entire interior wall which was made of wood. We told them they were responsible for the damage and they refused to fix it. We called and we called and we called and got no reply or response. Eventually, into 2016 our efforts dwindled as there were other things that came up in our life diverting our attention. Later that year, in the fall, we decided to put our house on the market and the drywall issue cropped up during our pest inspection. We resumed our efforts and it took threatening to turn them into the contractor state board to get them to pay attention to us. It also started raining again and the leak was back. To be honest I don't remember all of the details because there was so much involved, but it was a total nightmare dealing with these people. They actually made the leak worse and fought me on repairing the damage that they caused to my home. I ended up filing with the state contractors board and the BBB , by the way they have an F rating at BBB and I have since heard other horror stories from other homeowners. The contractor board contact them and basically told them fix it. So I ended up dealing with them yet again and this time when they came out to replace the damaged wood siding in my house they created a hole in an adjacent wall. They had the nerve to tell me that the work was completed and yet the new wood was bare and unfinished and there was a gaping hole in my home. And to add insult to injury when it rained again the entire room flooded from the ceiling. When I called them out on this I asked them if this was their home what they consider this job complete and well done. Bobby's response to me included multiple F-word's. He also ask me to reconsider my filing with the contractor board because "[he] had kids and a wife who didn't work"!! And just when you would think it couldn't get any worse, it did. I hired a non related third-party GC to come out and give me his honest opinion about what work needed to be done to right these wrongs. His findings were shocking. He discovered that there were many many things wrong with the roof job as a whole. He discovered that their solution to fixing my leak was to shove a bunch of goop in the shingles and to screw a 2x4 to my roof and an effort apparently to divert water. The list of things that were wrong just goes on and on. In the end we ended up hiring a different roofing company to fix the job properly. I should have just called them in the first place. When I finally made the decision to go with another company because these guys could not and would not right their wrongs , I was so disgusted that I said to Bobby I will see you in court, which I still plan to pursue. His ridiculous answer was "send me your attorneys info I'll give it to mine". What kind of reputable company treats people this way and does this kind of work? The threat of the BBB, the contractor board and an attorney didn't even phase these people. If you know what's good for you you wouldn't touch this company with a 20' pole..

They all came out and looked at our roof and gave us quotes. The quotes ranged from a low of $22,000 up to over $50,000. We then contacted Chico Roofing Company because we had 2 different friends recommend them. The salesperson (Cal) came out and was professional, personable and not pushy. He explained the roof replacement process explaining the different layers and product to be used. He then reviewed with us the warranty of the roof itself and of the workmanship. 50 years on the roof and 25 years on the workmanship. Their quote was less than $25,000 and when you take in the warranty factor it was by far the best deal. We signed on with them and they did a great job. The attention to detail of the crew and of their Foreman (Jessie) was top notch. Bill, the owner stopped by to check on the crew as well as to see if we had any questions on numerous occasions throughout the process. I've mentioned it to the crew and to friends that corners are not cut to save time when you warranty the craftmanship for 25 years. I hired Atlas to replace a kitchen faucet & shower valve at a residential property in Chico that I…read moremanage from out of state. Both the owner & technician knew I relied on an onsite property manager since I couldn't always be present. The first service on 5/9/25 required 5 return visits over 3 weeks. Replacing the sink faucet caused a pipe to burst. The tech told my onsite assistant, who thankfully insisted on being present during the repairs, that he'd caused it, but the owner later called about his $665 invoice & insisted it was old pipes, so I paid in full. The tech later returned to restore sprinkler power he'd turned off, replace the well cover he'd left off, & replace the shower valve, since he'd initially ordered the wrong part; he came back again to install the correct one. I returned to the property 3 weeks later & found a large pool of water under the kitchen sink. The owner sent the same tech back, who showed me the leak was caused by piping he hadn't tightened. He confirmed I wouldn't be charged for that visit. A few days later, while I was still onsite, I called Atlas for a clogged disposal. The same technician was dispatched & demonstrated that he'd gotten the disposal cleared of eggshells & working before he left. It clogged again the next day, & that same day the new shower valve also broke. Frustrated, & before making any accusations, I hired another plumber who'd worked on the home for years (unbeknownst to me) to check Atlas' work, willing to pay extra if it turned out everything was legitimate. He found a P-trap cut too long had caused the disposal clog, & that the replaced shower valve wasn't the correct model. He charged $175 to fix both properly. When I called the owner to discuss my hesitation to pay his $436 invoice, he became furious, raised his voice, accused me of trying to dodge payment, & touted his years in business & online reviews. He mentioned he could be recording our call & insisted he should've been asked back since he guaranteed his work. I was shaken by the exchange & followed up with a detailed written account to protect myself. Given his hostile, unprofessional behavior & the shoddy work another plumber had to correct, I didn't pay the invoice. After one email exchange, Atlas never followed up, & it's taken me over a year to speak up after a traumatizing experience. I'm documenting this so no one else, especially other women, has to go through what I did, & because Atlas seems to prioritize its online reviews over actual customer experience & quality work.

We didn't inspect the ductwork ourself, afraid to crawl in the crawl space, but sort of assumed we needed to replace it. Other companies came out and inspected it and assured us the rats had damaged it beyond repair and that the whole system needed to be replaced, and gave us very high estimates. At long last, we had Tyler, the chief technician at Flores come and take a look. He said that our ductwork was in great shape and the rats had done minimal damage, so minimal, that repairs were not even needed. He had no financial incentive to tell me that truth and I am incredibly grateful. Should we need HVAC work in the future, we will only be dealing with Flores. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the less than positive reviews on this company were coming from their unscrupulous competitors, some who wanted my to pay $10,000 for a brand new ducting system that we apparently do not need.
