My wife and I were craving Hawaiian fried chicken so we came to the "new" location. Place is smaller than the Artesia location, but the food is still awesome. The portion was gigantic and we took have of our chicken home. We left happy campers.

The staff were friendly and the food was great. Myself born in Hawaii gives them a thumbs up for good tasting local style food. And the portions were great for the price.

Recently moved to a new location. They are now off Western Ave in Gardena. They are in a little strip center shared with other businesses parking is small here especially at peak times and weekends either the other eating places. This place is in the corner and very small inside. If you plan to dine in there are only a few table if you have a big group it will be tough to dine in here. Overall the food is good here this is my favorite place for bacon fried rice.

    Katsu is HUGE!

Awesome amount of food for price. Good food quality. They can use a few tips though on their sides. It's more of a take out place. Dine in felt like a warehouse

Came here for lunch and it was a great experience. Customer service is friendly. The ambiance is chill. Jack Johnson tunes fill the room. Food is delicious and arrived approximately ten minutes ordering. Would come back if I was in the area

I did t like the food very much....... LOL!!!

Korean BBQ beef & bacon fried rice are my faves at this place. So good! They have a pretty good Chinese chicken salad too.

I like this Loft but menu prices too high. I can go to the Loft in Lakewood and get the Island Chicken plate for $5 less.

Not sure why they moved. Parking is almost non-existent. No dining in, take out only. Had to park on the side street about a block away.

Ask the Community - Loft Hawaiian Restaurant

Do you serve beer at your new location?

Hi David, sorry but we do not sell beer or alcohol. We share a space with a bar but we don't have a liquor license so we can't sell.

Did they open up at another location or is this their only one?

There are a few of them but I believe some locations are run by different owners.

Flavor was just right and really highlighted the fish and shoyu flavors perfectly. The mac salad paired really well with it but it still felt like it was missing something on the side, maybe cucumber or a little salad? Furikake chicken: excellent flavors! There was some live music playing outside while we were waiting. The furikake chicken was good. I haven't had this at any other place before. Katsu chicken was nice and crispy. I liked the short ribs here because it isn't as salty as some other Hawaiian food places. The shoyu poke was okay; definitely not something I would order again. The ube cake was delicious! It was very moist and not too sweet. I definitely recommend trying this cake. I don't think waiting 75 minutes for the food is worth it, but I would come back and possibly order online/do take out. And I also want to try some of the other cake flavors they have.

They also offer burgers, sandwiches, and poke bowls as well as breakfast dishes. I finally came here for lunch and it wasn't too busy on a Wednesday. Hubby got the Ahi Tuna Poke Salad and it was a generous portion! The ingredients were fresh and the ginger miso dressing was delicious. I got the Chicken Katsu and Fried Chicken Combo, which came with salad, rice and mac salad. The Fried Chicken was seasoned and fried to perfection! So juicy too. The chicken katsu was a bit disappointing though. The chicken was pounded paper thin and the panko crust, although it was crispy and not too oily, separated from the chicken. The sides were pretty average. I heard they also have live music on the weekends and evenings, which is great in their spacious dining area. Love the cute drawings and messages from locals and the collection of ladybugs and lucky cats. I would come back since I work close by. I would definitely get the fried chicken again and try other dishes on their extensive menu. Friendly and efficient service. Free parking lot in the back.

The same thing happened on our second visit, and we were honestly heartbroken. However, Sunny (I think that was his name) went above and beyond to make sure we still got to experience their food. He kindly gave us samples of the Spam musubi and fried chicken to take home. That's 100% top-notch customer service right there! Since then, we've returned twice more with friends, and the food has been absolutely amazing. The shrimp is hands-down my favorite, and the karaage chicken with the green sauce is super addictive. I also finally got to try the crispy Spam musubi, which was unique and delicious . We'll definitely keep coming back. In fact, I'm tempted to throw a party just so I have an excuse to cater from them! Even though they're located inside a food hall, you can take your food and enjoy it anywhere in The Enclave's spacious outdoor seating area, which makes it a great spot to hang out and enjoy a meal with friends.

The two items combo I tried, Cheehoo Teri chicken and shrimp, were both extremely saucy. Also, the plate was more than enough for two people. I appreciated the addition of the pickled onions which cut through all the fried, saucy food. The Mac salad was good but it had a ton of peppercorn on top. Didn't care for the POG refresher, it was super sweet and tasted like a candle. In all, I think this is a fun place to try and I would go back to try other items. But if you're looking for a classic Hawaiian plate lunch, just know this is untraditional as it comes with lots of embellishments.
