This is a great location because there are so many different food stalls in the complex. Was excited to try FAKA'S! They are not your traditional Hawaiian plate lunch spot. The two items combo I tried, Cheehoo Teri chicken and shrimp, were both extremely saucy. Also, the plate was more than enough for two people. I appreciated the addition of the pickled onions which cut through all the fried, saucy food. The Mac salad was good but it had a ton of peppercorn on top. Didn't care for the POG refresher, it was super sweet and tasted like a candle. In all, I think this is a fun place to try and I would go back to try other items. But if you're looking for a classic Hawaiian plate lunch, just know this is untraditional as it comes with lots of embellishments.

After not coming here for about a year, I decided to give Faka's another shot and I'm glad I did. The menu has definitely changed quite a bit since my last visit. There are a lot of new options and unfortunately no more chicken katsu. After my previous review, the owner actually reached out and offered to have me come back and try the food again, which I genuinely appreciated. I never took them up on the free food offer because I prefer to keep reviews honest, but the gesture still stood out to me. This time I ordered the 2-item combo with the honey sesame chicken karaage and kalua pork. The karaage was easily my favorite part of the meal. It was crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I asked for all the sauces on the side and the green sauce paired really well with it. The kalua pork was tender, but a little sweeter than I personally prefer for traditional kalua pork, so I'd probably try a different protein next time instead. I also grabbed a spam musubi, but the portions were so generous that I didn't even get around to eating it until I got home later. While I still miss the old chicken katsu, I get that menus evolve, and overall this visit was a much better experience than my previous one.

This is a 4.5 for taste alone, but because it was so unexpectedly good, bumped it to a 5. Plus I placed a huge order for my friend's family and the staff handled it very well. This is in a little food court, but a high quality food court. There are so many great options here! Theres a parking lot, and plenty of seating inside and outside. It's a causal spot, nice and clean with plenty of options. You place your order at the counter (you can use the ipad to order, except if you want the Fak'ed up fries, those you need to order with an employee). The shrimp - I could eat these forever. Holy toledos these are so good. I got the karaage chicken with the cheehoo teri sauce. The sauce is soooooo bomb. The chicken is perfectly cooked. And the red noon is the perfect addition of acidity. The Mac salad was great, stick to your ribs kinda good Now I ordered several other plates for my friend, including the teriyaki chicken, and the fak'ed up fries with shrimp and karaage chicken. He said the fak'ed up fries were fire, so good, he didn't even know that's exactly what he wanted. I have to come back to try them - I didn't know they were a thing bc they're not on the menu. But after I placed my original order I saw a video of the fak'ed up fries on their board and they looked so good, I had to buy them for him. I also got him the crispy spam musubi and the POGua Fresca, and he loved those. I will definitely DEFINITELY be back here!

I'm so annoyed I like this place. Driving back to SFV , popped here and didn't realize it's a food court. Everything looks really cute. The food was a flavor bomb. Katsu pork was my fav! The Shrimp were big and juicy, some really good bites. The crispy chicken was good. Mac Salad was good. They were out of the kimchi spam fried rice so wasn't able to try this. Musubi was fine, standard- the sauce they serve it with was great. Service was good.

Spam musubi. I like how they wrapped it in paper instead of plastic wrap which you see in a lot of restaurants.

The food was very good. I came here after seeing this place advertised on Instagram. I don't know how I missed this place the first time I came to the Enclave. It's in like a food court area, which I didn't notice before. I ordered the 1 protein plate (kalua pork) which was $16, comes with the meat, rice and picked radishes ( I think). I was surprised I had to pay an extra $4 for a tiny scoop of Mac salad. I also ordered the OG spam musubi ($4) and Lilikoi lychee drink ($5). So my meal total was $29 which I normally don't spend on myself. Was it worth it? I'd say yes, but if you want to spend less, you don't have to pay $4 for Mac salad and $4 for spam musubi. I think if you want to eat here just watch the extras, because I was expecting to spend around $20, but I wanted to try everything! Once you order you get a pager. The service was quick, and you can even order on their terminal. This is a nice area to dine in. If you work in the area, you can order it ahead on DoorDash and pick it up. I'm not sure I would come here again because it's pricey, but it is good!

Been here a couple of times and definitely will be coming back. Food: so far everything here is delicious, my favorite so far is the chicken karaage because it's so crispy yet so tender in the inside. If you're not into that I would likely recommend the chicken katsu, the sauce is a prefect pair for it. They do give you a good amount of portion. Staff: staff are very friendly and if you're new they know how to recommend which plate to get. Nino, is an amazing staff, very friendly and easy to talk to when it comes to you be indecisive on what to get. Ambiance: it's in a food court, but anything looks modern and cute.

Came here on a Sunday around 12pm. No wait to order on kiosk. They were out of some items already. Parking in lots and enough seating. Ordered the 2 protein plate with chicken katsu and teriyaki. A side of the kimchi. Chicken katsu was crispy. The teriyaki was tender. The rice was freshm the kimchi was good. All in all two protein plate was big enough for two people to share. For price to taste it was good.

We tried the three protein plate and it was definitely loaded to the max. Between two people, we weren't able to finish it. The food was standard, definitely on the heavier side. It's located inside the food hall with other restaurants. There's indoor and outdoor seating.

Randomly found this place on Yelp today after searching for something to eat for dinner at work tonight. Double shift is getting to me and I needed my protein lol! I realized it was in the Enclave which is a small "mall" of food and drinks spots in Torrance. There's a lot of tables and chairs in the multi-restaurant space and a bathroom as well. I went up to the place and ordered their kalua pork plate complete with mac salad, rice, and a cilantro pineapple aioli. The wait time was eh. You order off a tablet then are texted when your order is ready. It took about 15 minutes to come out, maybe it was okay for most people but I was in a rush to get back to work lol. The food itself was really good though! They offer a GREAT massive portion of kalua pork, it was probably like 30g of protein for the whole thing! I thought that was awesome. Mac salad was good and the sauce was pretty tasty. I would come back here tbh!

I was at a Christmas UYE at the Enclave and my first time eating from since it was highly recommend, you order your food get a restaurant pager, at least 15 mins. went by before device went off, there was three people working here, one working the front and two in the kitchen I saw. There is a moving food monitor that shows different Items, I ordered the Karaage chicken protein plate, which came with white rice mac salad and a side orer of Furikake fries, everything tasted pretty good except the fries, they were not warm and just plain I did not taste any garlic. The service was very nice and with a smile, I definitely will return to try another Items, and will hold the fries

I have been wanting to try this place for a while, so after a day of shopping and walking around, my friend and I decided to stop by The Enclave. The Enclave is a food hall located in the South Bay. Parking is convenient, with plenty of spaces in the back, so if you can't find a spot up front, no need to worry. There's a huge variety of food options, but on this visit, I was in the mood for some Hawaiian food. I ordered the popcorn chicken plate, and it was delicious. The plate came with the chicken, a bed of rice, homemade sauce, and mac salad. The rice was topped with furikake, green onions, and pickled onions. Since I'm not a fan of onions, I removed them. The chicken was fresh and tender, and the breading had great flavor with a satisfying crunch in every bite. The sauce was AMAZING and had a great taste, definitely wanted more. The overall experience was even better thanks to the cashier, who was friendly and knowledgeable, sharing which dishes were most popular. From ordering to receiving my food, everything was quick and efficient, and the customer service really stood out. If you're looking for a great place to eat while spending time with friends or family, I highly recommend this food hall and this spot for great food. With multiple food options and both indoor and outdoor seating, it's especially great for large groups and offers something for everyone.

Food: Teri Chicken + Sweet Chili Garlic Shrimp with Spam Kimchi Fried Rice & Spicy Mac Salad - MMMM, so tasty & flavorful!!! Service: friendly, made-to-order service with Aloha Design: inside The Enclave and in a Food Hall area; beautiful, contemporary interior and exterior seating Overall: if you want a modern twist on classic Hawaiian plate lunch food, then you gotta check out this place and get ready for a packed full of flavor in every bite

Located in the food court or food hall of the Enclave, just across from Boba Break. I've been here a couple of times since my previous review. The go to plate has been the kalua pork. So flavorful and delicious! Their mac salad and spam musubi is also ono. (ono: delicious, tasty, savory in Hawaiian) On an evening or a weekend, I've gotten the same order taker. He's a no nonsense type, not really warm or friendly. My orders have usually been straightforward so they've always been accurate. Parking is on the Enclave property open spaces. The structure on Saturdays is only for the vendors although no signage specifies that, do not park there unless you want security to inform you it is not OK to park there. 4 stars!

The wait was reasonable considering they were also finishing up a pretty large order when I came in. All of the flavors worked so well! I was particularly surprised with the green sauce-I've had it with so many other cuisines but never thought to pair it with Korean food. The bowl was filling while still feeling healthy and nutritious. I will say the spicy chicken really isn't spicy (the kimchi is much spicier by comparison), so I would love for spice levels to be ramped up a bit. Food quality is good, but today's portions were significantly smaller than before. For a 32 oz bowl and paying extra for salmon, I received more like a 16oz bowl of food (see photo comparisons). Not cool! I literally counted 5 brussel sprouts. I had half a scoop of greens and barely enough jollof rice to cover the bottom of the bowl. I watched the lady scoop up sides then pour half of them in my bowl and the other half back into the warmers. The young gentleman also skimped on the toppings. He added about teaspoon of roasted garlic, also barely noticeable on top of my food. He didn't say a word, didn't ask if I wanted extras, nothing. He moved so quickly that I barely caught him in time to ask for dressing on the side as he flipped the bottle upside down ready to pour. I had to ask for shito peppers and relish jam as well while he proceeded to place the lid on the bowl to be bagged up. Part of this was because the lady at the register (super friendly) had input my order and was providing me with the total, while I was trying to watch preparation of my bowl. I appreciate the efficiency. BUT!! I'd rather service to be slower and correctly done than rush and not have food to my liking. Had I not jumped to the register, I would've certainly asked about the significant decrease in food portions compared to my previous orders. I definitely paid for a bowl where the quantity didn't match. *sigh

Thanks to an opportunity to try this out at a Yelp Elite Event, I had to come back to get some more…read morebecause I truly enjoyed the food - and I found out that Rabano and Chinollo are by the same owners! As Alison C. pointed out, "Chinollo is very unique because it's the owner is Cuban born, Peruvian raised and of Chinese heritage, so the menu is a mix of Latin American and Asian fusion." All credits to them for this because the menu makes so much sense in that light. There are 2 different and super convenient ways to order: If you want to talk to someone, you can go up to the cashiers; if you don't want to talk to anyone, there are 2 self-service kiosks. While there is seating indoors, I've always come after work hours and at that time, it seems to be primarily a to-go restaurant. I've been slowly working my way through their Wonder Bowls option - and what I've tried so far are: 0. Base options: Rice, ancient grains (mix of quinoa and other grains), raw greens, garlic noodle, or even a half-half combo of any two options. I agree with Belle C.'s comment about the garlic noodles in that it's "not garlicky enough for me, but maybe it's meant for the white American palate)". Go to any Asian restaurant, Chinese, Indo-Chinese, Viet, and the garlic noodles have tonnes of fragrant & noticeable garlic in it while this simply did not. I like getting rice or ancient grains (for extra fibre) as my base over the greens or garlic noodles. Overall, a great spot with fast & lovely service, healthy & delicious portions of food (enough for two meals for me), and delicious drinks that I recommend especially for to-go orders after work. Also lovely for workers nearby to sit down or get something quick, filing, and tasty! 1. Baja Bowl (GF, RV): Choice of base. Black beans, sweet corn, avocado, cashew-chipotle sauce, pico de gallo. Choice of free-range chicken, organic tofu or pulled pork. For steak add $1. Other choices of protein also available. I love getting this with tofu for an extra dose of fibre from veggies; that sweetness of sweet corn with the salty-creaminess of the black beans go so well with the creamy sauce. 2. Farm Veggie Bowl (V): Vegan. Choice of base. Best of season grilled vegetables, cashew-chipotle sauce, hydro watercress. Add black beans on request. Available: add protein of choice. One of my favourite veggie bowls; I do recommend adding the black beans for more fibre & protein. Such a delicious and filling bowl that's fresh. 3. Chico Cubano (GF, RV): Choice of base. Pulled pork Cuban style, mojo criollo sauce, black beans, red pickled onions, parsley, sweet plantains. other choices of proteins available. This is my absolute favourite dish specifically because of the black beans; I enjoy it so much that I've been asking for a side of them as well. It's a hefty portion of pulled pork as well and 3 chunky plantains cooked to perfection. I do wish there was little bit more of the picked onions to cut through the fatty pork as well as the mojo criollo sauce, but other than that, if you get a bite of everything, it's delicious. 4. Saltado Peruano (GF, RV): Choice of base. Sauteed onion, tomatoes, huacatay sauce, aji panca, cilantro, potato fries. Choice of free-range chicken or tofu. For steak, add $1. Other choices of protein also available. The huacatay with the steak, onions, and tomatoes is so fresh and filling; I like to dip the potatoes in the aji panca after a few bites of everything else. The potatoes are a thick cut, so it can become a tough bite at times. Pro-tip: Eat this one right away as the potatoes can get soggy pretty quickly. I do wish they gave more aji, but other than that, a delicious dish, especially with steak (which I prefered over chicken or tofu). 5. El Koreano (GF, RV): Choice of base. Grilled certified angus steak, baby bok choy, cucumber, gochujang, house kimchi, sweet umami glaze. Other choices of protein also available. I've had this, but I can't say it's my favourite; I would personally go get banchan from a Korean restaurant and enjoy that as a "bowl" than this. There's something about the house kimchi that I don't enjoy as much as I do from Korean establishments. My real complaint isn't about the food, but the to-go container; since it's not plastic, it gets soggy very quickly and loses shape from all the food in the container, causing it to scrape into the food when I use a spoon or fork to eat. My go-to drink is the Zingy; the blend of tartiness from the lemon, the bright punch from the ginger, and Its ingredients are: Fresh ginger, lemon, mint, pineapple, cayenne pepper, raw organic sugar, sparkling water. My partner likes the honey lemonade, especially because you can adjust the sweetness, and actually taste the honey. Its got freshly squeezed lemon, raw organic honey, organic raw sugar.
