You don't know what you don't know, and after working with Loftey - I now know a lot, and I recommend NOT using their services. As everyone may have a different experience, and I hoped mine would be good - I had a terrible experience with them. They cost us a lot of time and money, along with losing apartments that would have been a perfect fit for my family. I find Loftey shady and untrustworthy, and I recommend you NOT hire them. If you hire them, be careful and plan on paying them as a traditional broker, or you will have to accept one of their apartments, from which they get a referral fee. My Terrible Experience: Two months before our lease was to end, I reached out to Loftey - well ahead of schedule. I first engaged with Xander Johnson, who was professional, answered my questions, and sent a follow-up email that stated everything I read on their website. Everything seemed great, and we decided to move forward with Lofety. Xander continued to email me over the next month, and I was then introduced to Nicholas Mahoney. Nicholas also professionally presented himself and communicated via email. But I started to notice specific questions were not being answered, especially about the apartments I found on my own via StreetEasy & Apartments.com. He would also not answer my question about appointments for these apartments if they would research them or advise how I could see them independently. After a month of working together and me oversharing what I wanted in an apartment and sending lists upon lists of apartments we liked, our first day of seeing apartments was set up for us to tour with a third gentleman - Franklin Polanco. Franklin was professional and friendly, and we appreciated the time he spent with us showing us 9+ apartments. Please note I asked for a list of the apartments we would tour, and Nicholas would not share the list with me. I found this to be odd. When I questioned Nichols on this, he threatened to cancel our showings. As we were within a month of our lease ending, I was nervous and upset and had no choice but to go see the apartments. It turned out to be a complete waste of our day! Unfortunately, Franklin did NOT show us even one apartment that fit the criteria we wanted - we explained we wanted to live in a luxury building similar to our current building, with all the bells & whistles. They only showed us pre-war buildings, and each apartment was the complete opposite of anything we wanted. We were so annoyed we canceled the last apartment and went home. Also, I wanted to see "no fee" apartments, and every one of the apartments, except for one that they showed me, was a "fee" apartment. I followed up with an email to Nicholas, which I was told they would get back to me after the weekend. I then received an email from Nicholas on Monday morning (See Below) that they would not show me my apartments or pre-qualify them unless I hired them as traditional brokers and paid them! But, they would be kind and extend me a $600 discount on their fee for one month's rent. He also admitted this is NOT what I was told when I first engaged with Lofety, but it is what it is. With less than a month to go until my lease ended, I was left high and dry. I was forced to move into one of the horrible apartments they showed us or pay them for their services. After all this, I hired an honest broker I could trust and found an apartment perfect for us in 48 hours, even though it cost me more. I would have paid Lofety as a traditional broker if they had disclosed this at the beginning of our partnership - but instead, they lied to me. So, be careful if you hire them, and know what you are getting into. I wish you a better experience than mine! Like everyone else, I was unclear about how Loftey worked and whether I was walking into some sort of scam. I had previously worked with a broker to find my first apartment in NYC, and while he was nice, I wasn't sure he justified the $2000+ broker's fee. I spoke with a Loftey rep just to get a sense of what they expected from me, etc. I was told that the only real condition is that I write a review at the end. Because I'm a paranoid, risk-averse lawyer, I also asked about consequences if I decided to terminate the relationship--did I owe them any fees, etc.? I was still looking for the catch--and crazily enough, there isn't really one! I worked with Chris for the parameters of what I was looking for. He was great, super communicative, and fielded the numerous emails I must have sent with Streeteasy listings I liked! He also explained to me how co-ops and condos worked, and advised me on listings that were posted by disreputable brokers. The only thing I wish he had told me earlier was how much longer it could take to rent a co-op or condo--I may have been interested in going that route, but by the time we were seriously planning for the showing date, it was too late. The showing day itself was great--it was similar to what the previous broker I'd used had done, and definitely the most value-add that Loftey brings. It was so nice to have someone else prepare the schedule for showings and also contact the relevant landlords. Jose accompanied me to all the showings, reminded me to take videos, and asked questions that I would not have asked about. One of the agents we met did show us studios when I explicitly asked for 1 bedrooms, but Jose was apologetic about that bait and switch, and it wasn't his fault--the 1 bedroom we were going to see with that agent had signed just that day, so the agent decided to show us something else (which I always hate!). After the showing, Jose was extremely communicative and also submitted my application for me, despite the fact that he had to scan the paper copies I had or run the physical application to the landlord. Jose was also great about relaying my hundreds of questions about the management company, building history of mice/pests, and all the other paranoid questions I had. I definitely am sure I got annoying to both him and the broker! But he handled it all graciously; he understood picking an apartment is a big investment. I've been at my place now for about 3 months and am quite happy with it! Small things bother me, such as I wish there was more natural light and I didn't have to pay for gas and hot water, but I understand that you can't get 100% of everything you want in your NYC apartment search. On the bright side, I did get a living room that was large enough to fit a desk and couch, laundry in building, a responsive super, much lower rent than I was expecting to pay, and what I had cared about the most--a happening area close to everything I want to do! I've been on Streeteasy often since, to see if I had really missed out on rentals within my budget (I just look up buildings in the neighborhood as I walk by them), and now am more confident Loftey did a great job with my search parameters. If I move again in NYC, I will definitely use Loftey again! P.S. I also didn't get a rent reduction from using Loftey, as the website states, but I didn't mind at all since the listed rent was lower than my budget, and the biggest value for me was not having to schedule all the showings. read more

Top line: Loftey was an incredible service in our apartment search, and one that I will consistently recommend to anyone looking for an apartment. At first, I was a bit apprehensive to use an outside service. Prior to Loftey, I had simply used Streeteasy and the internet for everything. After moving twice in two years due to crappy NYC apartments, I figured what the hell -- why not give this Loftey a chance? Upon first introduction, the Loftey team was incredibly personable and open to what we were looking for. They took down all of the information of what we wanted, and gave us some legitimate feedback on what they were seeing in the market as well. I can't tell you how refreshing that is, considering every other damn broker in this city is going to bend the truth to get you to rent one of their apartments. (That's another great thing about Loftey is that they're not trying to 'sell' you on anything or any listings; they're there to give you honest feedback every step of the way.) One of the best 'little' things they ask right off the bat is for you to send them a specific list of documents, such as ID's, statements, etc. I was a little taken aback to have to do that right away, however, it REALLY helped us down the line. Essentially, they collect all of the pertinent documentation that landlords / management companies require, so that way when you see a place and want it, all they have to do is hand in the portfolio with ALL of the paperwork ready to go. Anyway, Loftey was amazing in the actual search aspect of it all. Not only did they have listings ready to go and were sending to us daily, but they also gave us research and feedback on apartment listings from Streeteasy, Trulia, etc. that WE sent to THEM. That was what was so great - we had them looking for us, and we were also out looking for listings. The more eyes you have looking, the better chance you'll find a great apartment. Anyway, we found some places that we really liked from what we saw, but with Loftey's research, they were able to flag as 'too good to be true,' so to speak. They had the 411 and lowdown on every listing we sent their way, whether it was off the market, had been landlords, etc. And that kind of insight is the most valuable asset you can have in your search. Once we found the apartment we eventually moved into (and finally a place I can see myself for years), they really kicked it into high gear. They took care of the back and forth with the broker, which can certainly get tiring, and for us as the tenants, we really only had to plan the move. Loftey also went to bat for us about moving in a bit early, as we would have really been screwed otherwise. (They eventually got us a deal with the mgt. company to pay extra to do so, but I can't tell you how nice it was to have Loftey in our corner.) When we agreed we wanted to rent our place, Loftey issued a check FOR us, so that way we could get money in immediately. Sure enough, the apartment was ours. And I can also truthfulyl say, the free move or lower broker fee IS REAL! We got a completely free move, paid for by Loftey, which obviously would've cost us a serious chunk of change. After living in NYC for over 17 years and moving apartments 5 times, dealing with many different brokers and management companies, I had almost come to accept that the NY rental market was designed in a way where tenants are always on the loosing end in this complicated real estate market entangled with brokers demanding ridiculous fees and almost always falsely advertising properties. On my 5th and most recent move, I discovered Lofty and decided to give it a try - with a lot of skepticism on what they promised, but prepared and guarded with my savvy of tricks that brokers usually pull. I was seeking a nice apartment at good value in Manhattan (a 2 bedroom flex where we could comfortably have our 1 year old son) and saw the added bonus of the free move Lofey offered, as a perk (as dealing with movers can be almost as bad as dealing with some brokers). But to my pleasant surprise, Loftey delivered. The process at first (a phone call meeting) seemed like too much, but I went along with it and had good chat with Corey who sounded trust worthy and knew what he was talking about. I'd send him links to apartments I'd found and he'd flag them down as false listings , and he was actually right. Sometimes they took too long to respond, but I understood they were probably swamped and were the underdogs in this crazy rental market. So after being patient, we went ahead and booked some viewings. We met with Clarence who was very nice, punctual, pleasant, and very professional. I think we actually found the apartment we're at on the first viewing, although we didn't take it then - we gave him a bit of a hard time to show us more and more and then more of hard time asking him to show us the first one we had liked again. He was very nice and patient and when we finally decided to go for it, the most amazing surprise to me is that they delivered on everything they promised on the free move - which to me was a huge help, both financially and mentally. Moving is hard enough, and then finding movers, dealing with certificates of insurance, and then of course usually being scammed by the movers, makes things even worse. But guess what, at least I did't have to deal with any of that this time. Loftey took care of booking the movers, getting the COI, arranging payment - everything on that end - we just packed our apartment and the movers took it. That was a HUGE relief. Without a doubt, this was the best and most seamless move I've experienced in NY so would certainly recommend these guys - and this is coming from an almost jaded tenant who's seen it all! 've used Loftey before, and I was *highly* disappointed in the service and outcome this time around. Last summer, I went through Sophia to get a great deal on my current apartment. This year, I started my search about a month prior and immediately knew that I wanted to work with Loftey. I got in touch with Sophia, and we went back and forth attempting to schedule a call. Understood that it was the holiday week and she promptly put me in touch with another agent. I had a call with another Loftey agent, who I assumed would be the agent I was working with. I responded quickly, expressed my interest to work exclusively with Loftey and put my faith in the agency to help me cater to my needs, including finding a no-fee apartment. This agent also assured me that I would be shown no-fee apartments - I rent on a year-to-year basis with no plans of settling down in NYC, so a 10 - 15% broker fee really doesn't make sense. Fast forward a couple days - this Loftey agent has put me in touch with another broker, who I went with to see apartments. At this point, not only was I frustrated with a lack of care in terms of assigning an agent, but also because this agent showed me 2 apartments that were outside of my price range and were condos, and I expressly did not want to rent given the amount of fees and lengthy application process. He also informed me that there were no apartments on the east side, and what was most shocking is, at the end of the 2 hour search, asked me if I still wanted to continue next week. When I wanted to apply for an apartment, I contacted him the same day and never - ever - heard back. At this point, I went back to Sophia who directed me to someone else at the firm. While I appreciated this call, This person informed me that I had to have asked the landlord whose apartment I was interested in to waive the fee - I was taken aback, as I understood that it was Loftey's mission to advocate on behalf of the customer. In addition, I was told that a $500 application fee was standard - the current lease I signed had a $100 application fee for a luxury doorman building. Finally, I felt that my decision to pursue a no-fee apartment was criticized. Unfortunately, this entire process soured my previously wonderful experience working with Loftey. I was able to find a great apartment on my own, but was highly frustrated with the way this process panned out. At the very end, it became clear that Loftey did not care for me as a client for reasons unknown to me, and that was shocking to me considering they lost a repeat customer who would have gladly used their service, had they been a bit more consistent and communicative.I read more

Overview: Great experience! I stumbled upon Loftey when my boyfriend and I were starting to apartment hunt. We were not sure if the company was for real as just seemed to good to be true. We both were very busy with work and of course moving takes up a ton a time so this was a miracle finding. Loftey was super responsive and helpful including didn't have to pay for the service as the building management did all we had to promise was to write a review, any review we wanted. We started off spoking to Chris who gave us the overview and answered all of our questions. We felt really good after our call and even was fast with responding to our additional questions after the call. We worked with Chris to set up an in-person viewing. At this point we worked with Nicholas who asked us specific questions regarding our budget, location and type of apartment we were looking for. We walked thru everything including our dream items as never know what could be possible. We sent him some listings we liked that we saw online. Nicholas did everything. He scoped out not just our listings we provided but also other locations he thought we would like based on all of our credentials. There were a few he advised against seeing as didn't seem legit or was a condo. Condos have a lot of red tape to sort thru and he felt other listings would be easier and better fit. On in-person viewing day we saw many amazing places. There were two we couldn't get in to see. One was due to the leasing office agent wasn't around despite having a scheduled appointment and other was due to not proving we were covid-19 free prior to arriving. Turns out though despite seeing many great places with just a couple that were not so great we ended up loving the first place we saw. It was in the location area we wanted, a luxury building, pet friendly, over our minimum number of closets, balcony, gym in building and rooftop access. There was one negative we didn't love the floor and view the apartment we saw had so we wanted to see the place again. Nicholas called asked if there was another apartment available on a different / higher floor plus if we can come back to see the place again. We got Yes's to both. When we went back we saw the same apartment layout on a higher floor for only a little more money per month. The apartment felt right for what we were looking for! Nicholas helped us negotiate including how we didn't have to pay monthly for my cat. Again happy with Lofety and have recommended to friends and colleagues. My girlfriend and I had an absolutely outstanding experience with Loftey. We are moving to Manhattan from Utah for our medical residencies and were pretty intimidated by what we had heard about the NYC housing market. Additionally, we only had a 4 day window to fly out and secure an apartment due to us still working at our hospital in Salt Lake. We reached out to Loftey and heard almost immediately from Chris, who could not have been friendlier or more helpful. He asked us about our preferences and deal-breakers in apartments, while also taking a look at listings we sent him and gave us feedback on resources to use and what to look for in online listings. Any question we sent him, we got a response within a day. He made sure we had all the right paperwork set up ahead of time and ready to go so when we got to New York, we could hit the ground running. After we got to New York, Anna was the agent who helped us on the ground and she was nothing short of amazing. She set up, on average 4-6 apartment viewings every day using our feedback on the previous day's viewings to guide what we saw the next day. She was kind and personable and really made the whole process far less stressful than it could have been. She came with us to every apartment viewing, asking questions that we sometimes hadn't thought to ask and was definitely not afraid to be our strong advocate when she felt like building managers/brokers were up to something fishy. Even when she was with other clients, she was always willing to answer questions by text or email. Long story short, we flew to New York with a mountain of student debt and 4 days to find an apartment and, thanks to Loftey and Anna/Chris' hard work, we found a place that was as close to perfect as we could have hoped for. Even now, a week after the fact, we still hear from Anna every couple of days to make sure everything is still moving smoothly. Some may find this review a bit odd because Loftey didn't actually help find me my new space, but I couldn't rave more about their service if I wanted to. I had been hunting for a new place for some time and had finally come across one that was perfect. There was a wonderfully helpful agent attached to this property, but it was a bit steep considering the market, so I decided to wait and think about it. The next day as I was doing more research, I came upon Loftey's site. I called and chatted with Scout, who was incredibly helpful in explaining their methodology, etc. In truth, it all seemed too good to be true, and as any native New Yorker knows, being skeptical of things that seem "too good to be true" is genetically baked into us. We discussed Loftey's exclusivity requirement, which is pretty standard in NYC with realtors, and they understood that there was a prior property I was interested in that already had an agent attached. So what the heck, I decided to take the plunge, and Scout said I'd be hearing from an agent very soon. That night I heard from Clarence, he asked me a bunch of questions to determine what property listing to send me and away we went. Within a three-day whirlwind tour, we visited well over a dozen properties, and in the end, found one that was perfect. Clarence negotiated the price down, and I was about to pull the trigger when I heard back from the agent attached to the original space I was interested in, they had lowered their price CONSIDERABLY, and waved the agent's fee. It was too good a deal to turn down, and the property Clarence had found me just couldn't match it. So for starters, Loftey is the real deal, as is Clarence. He was so patient and understood what I was looking for in a new space. He's good dude, so much so, that I felt terrible having to tell him that I was going with the other place, and even then, he was cool with it. So yeah, Loftey didn't find me my new place, they almost did. But, if I'm ever in the hunt again, I know who I'll be contacting and which agent I'll be requesting. I truly have nothing but wonderful things to say about Loftey! When I first heard about the company I thought it was too good to be true, but everything that everyone says is 100% accurate. From start to finish Loftey helped to make moving in the city enjoyable and Ori and Sandy found me the perfect apartment to meet my needs. I couldn't be happier! As someone who was moving to the city for the first time, I had heard horror stories about real estate and apartment hunting in NYC. Upon speaking with Ori, he sent me an organized list of questions to answer which was very comprehensive and useful in terms of prioritizing exactly what I wanted and didn't want. He was very attentive and answered all of my questions promptly throughout the whole process! When it came to looking at apartments I worked with Sandy who showed me different properties. She was phenomenal! She was organized, knowledgeable, and came very prepared to the showings. She was comfortable yet professional and was extremely patient with us while we took our time looking and weighing the pros/cons of each property. She had a whole schedule planned out for us and even planned which properties we would need to Uber to given the distance. It was truly one of those experiences where we just showed up and did not have to think about anything besides the apartments which was so nice. Following my decision, Sandy helped to ensure that the application process for the apartment went seamlessly. She went above and beyond and followed up with me after I moved in to make sure everything was going well. She even sent me a list of apps to use on my phone to help with my transition into the city which I continue to use daily. I cannot express enough how much I appreciate all of her assistance, and any client would be lucky to have her help! After everything Loftey did for me I did not think I would receive a check in the mail because it just seemed too good to be true, however Loftey sent me a nice check at the end of the whole process. My experience with Loftey was very efficient. Upon recommendation of a colleague, I checked out the Loftey web page, and initially could not believe the great deal they were offering: no fee unless imposed by another listing broker, plus rent reduction or a free move? Within moments of signing up with the website to see their listings, I was contacted via built-in messenger by two cofounders, and was soon on the phone with Corey who explained to me how Loftey works (and how it can provide such great value to customers); then we discussed what I was looking for and where. To clarify the details, Corey sent me a short list of questions, and promptly explained where I would need to adjust my budget or expectations. He encouraged me to look through their listings and those on other websites to direct them to the apartments I liked, so Loftey could verify them for me and arrange a viewing. After a few listings I sent to him turned out to be not what I needed, I decided to rely on Loftey's experience and knowledge of the market and just relegate the whole search process to them, based on my specific requirements. They came up with a list of 12 apartments to be viewed within one day, and by the middle of those viewings I had already found the place I wanted. Loftey facilitated the application process and coordinated the closing, answering all my questions promptly and very professionally. On top of it, I received a $600 discount and an accommodation with spreading the other broker's fees over a few months. Had I decided on one of the no-fee apartment Loftey showed me, they would not have charged me a fee at all. But I am very pleased with the new home I found, both as to location and to size. If you are looking for an apartment in NYC, Loftey is simply a no brainier. After working through Loftey to find my current apartment in Manhattan I really cannot imagine why someone would use any other broker. As soon as I signed up for their site, I was contacted by the staff to iron out the details of my search. Very soon after I began receiving emails from Lofteys for listings that not only made sense, but actually existed! Prior to using Loftey I took it upon myself to skim apt listings and when I found a catch and contacted the listed broker...well, you know the drill. "Oh I'm sorry sir, that apartment is no longer available, but how about I show you this other apt today that I'm sure you will like even better!" Like even better? Let's not kid ourselves...this "other apartment" was a disaster and not even close to what I was looking for. Once I determined which apartments fit my search the Loftey staff arranged a schedule of visits and we were on our way. I was certainly impressed by their knowledge and expertise when we visited the listings - often pointing out elements of the building and apt that I normally wouldn't have noticed and making sure that little went unquestioned. Eventually I selected and apartment in a NO FEE newer apartment building. No fee, no problem...Loftey explained. Their services didn't stop there as they then proceeded to negotiate a 2 yr lease for 200/mth less than the building was asking for! Weeks later I was prepped to move, Loftey covered the majority of my moving expenses, and the rest is history. Loftey just makes sense. I saved money on the move and rent negotiations. I saved time by having listings sent to me and the Loftey staff arranging an efficient schedule of apt visits. I've had a lot of issues looking for apartments in the past- I moved here from Kentucky over a year and a half ago, and have had the worst experiences with brokers and apartment searching ever since. When I came across apartments on Loftey's website, I immediately noticed a quality difference between some of the scammy stuff I was finding and what they had listed. I was super unsure at first because it sounded way too good to be true, but it ended up being such a great experience! This is my first ever renting completely by myself, so I was really nervous- I've only ever sublet and paid the other roommates for the rent on Venmo- no paperwork or anything. I worked with one of their agents, Xander, to go through all of my paperwork and get it all organized- and then with Karen, who created a personal lineup of apartments for me to see. She set up all the appointments and told me exactly how she felt about each one- no "used car salesman" type up-sell. After each apartment, she would ask me for my totally honest opinion. She took my cousin and me to see over 11 different units in one day, and completely on schedule the entire time. We walked all over Midtown and Chelsea, and I ended up choosing a place that night! We had a few difficulties with my paperwork and such, but Karen was such a huge help in coordinating between me and the building, and she ended up getting everything worked out. In less than a week, I've been approved for my new place! I kept double checking with her to make sure I didn't owe her or Loftey anything (because at that point I felt like I owed so much) and she assured me that I didn't owe anything for using Loftey's services or her time, which is still wild to me. I've been telling all my friends and coworkers that they need to consider Loftey the next time they move, because I definitely, 100% would not have been able to do this without them. read more

I was moving to NYC from out of state for a new job and hadn't expected the NYC rental / real estate market to be so intimidating. There are a lot of details and complexities to searching for housing. I planned to live near my prospective workplace in the Financial District and was sifting through listings on Street Easy, Naked Apartments, and the fourth page in search engine results. One of my friends who had lived in NYC for a year had recently moved into a luxury apartment via Loftey and suggested that I try it out -- he told me it was "too good to be true." I gave it a shot, talked to Ori about what I was looking for, and ended up working with Jay B who was awesome. Jay set up a very efficient string of apartment visits in FiDi that matched up with my search critieria. He also lined up a few places in Brooklyn and suggested that I'd find it more attractive than living in FiDi. I hadn't considered Brooklyn prior but he explained that it's an oft-overlooked area. I was glad that he had the knowledge scoop since I actually ended up choosing the first place we visited in Brooklyn! (We visited a good variety of apartments in Brooklyn as well as FiDi.) I'd highly recommend working with Jay as he gives you great guidance on how to get a feel for an apartment and understands that if you have some reservations about a particular unit, it's best to move on. As mentioned by many other reviews, Loftey does a great job in getting rid of outdated and/or bait-and-switch listings on their own website. They also review any other listings you find and tell you if they're legitimate or not; they helped steer me away from a couple of bad listings. After working with Loftey, I actually recommended another friend who had been living in NYC for only a few months to break his lease in his (relatively unsatisfying) apartment and work with Loftey -- he's already halfway out the door. read more

As most people know, moving to NYC is an awful process. There are so many listings, many of them are fake and the good apartments get rented in a blink of an eye. After a couple months of research, I came across an ad for Loftey and like most skeptical new yorkers, I didn't really buy it. However, I knew our apartment search couldn't become more cumbersome so I gave it a shot. From the very first interaction, I was impressed with Loftey's honesty, clarity and knowledge. My phone call with Chris was efficient but thorough. He didn't try to "sell" me, he simply gave me the run down and asked what I was looking for. He assured me that they would help me find my lowest rent, do the research for me and set up all the appointments. From there, I emailed over my preferences and I was in good hands. Chris was very responsive to my emails and calls and answered each of my questions directly and honestly. From there, my husband and I met with Duncan who set up an awesome full day of apartment hunting. We saw so many apartments and we loved them all. They all reflected our preferences. Duncan even went as far to call each building to double check their pet policies (we have two pugs!) to ensure we did not waste our time. Additionally, he added another neighborhood to our search (which at first I wasn't sure of) and it ended up being the neighborhood where we found our dream apartment. Our New York City apartment search began with much frustration as I encountered fake listings, and unreturned phone calls and emails for many listings. Loftey was recommended to me as a website to view available properties. Little did I realize that they too offered full realtor/broker services, but not at the same fee structures. My first entree to Loftey was Samantha Fraser, who fully explained their services. Being a skeptic, combined by my most recent NYC property experiences, I was loaded with questions, and Samantha was forthright, honest and sincere with her answers. I was now ready to jump into the NYC rental market. Samantha turned me over to the capable hands of Stephen Kapoor, who listened intently to our wish list and must haves. Stephen was meticulous in his planning of our NYC rental excursion. Being cognizant of our time, and our budget, he efficiently scheduled a day that gave us a selection of buildings for comparison, several that we could have selected. Location to transportation, namely the PATH train was a key, but so was the proximity to services such as grocery, dining, dry cleaners, etc. I have to say that we got it all in the location of 2 Gold Street, plus the building has its own amenities to enjoy. The amalgamation of Stephen's NYC real estate knowledge, with listening to our needs was a winner combination to our successful outcome. I had the best experience using Loftey to find my new apartment. I was really hesitant at first, because I didn't think I would need a broker, however soon realized that extra help could be really useful and contacted Loftey. It really is different (and better) than any other broker I've used/ heard of before. Corey then gave me a call and explained their business model to me and the perk I would receive using their service. It was an easy decision to continue my apartment search with Loftey. Corey continued to help me via email and then referred me to Andrea, the agent who set up appointments and went to apartment viewings with me. She considered apartments that I saved on loftey's website, looked at buildings I asked her about (even those that weren't on their website) and showed me the ones she personally thought would be a good fit. I ended up falling in love with the first apartment she showed me and it was one which I wouldn't have picked out myself. Andrea was also more than helpful when it came to taking the apartment off the market, getting all the right documents to the management and signing the lease. She made sure everything was going smoothly, and I am sure that without her help it wouldn't have been as stress free. Regarding Loftey's value add, they definitely keep their promise. In exchange for you using their service they will either lower the rent, pay for your move or write you a check, without you paying anything! I can highly recommend Loftey for anyone looking for a new place in the city. They provide you with a stress-free experience and are there to answer any questions, at any time.
