I used Happy Pet Hotels since I moved to Lafayette in 2018 and they were great. We also used them…read morefor training when we adopted a second dog. Bobby and the women who work here were always very kind and accommodating. My older dog had her first seizure a week before we were set to leave on our two week honeymoon and I was so nervous to board her but Bobby reassured me she would be taken care of and that they would give her extra love and attention. I would recommend this place to everyone and am sad that we wont be able to use them anymore due to us moving out of state. My dogs were always excited when we pulled up and were clearly happy to see the staff.

I would have left zero stars if I could. We've used happy pets since our dog was a puppy. He also smelled like urine and was extremely dirty. We dropped him off with about 11 to 12 days worth of food for a 10 day stay and he came back with half of his container full. I know the owner has had some medical conditions recently but it seems that the business is going down hill. If the owner is the only male staff member and you can't get the dog into the washing station. Maybe hire another male staff member to handle strong dogs that the female staff members can't. The staff tried to tell us that it was separation anxiety but he's known the staff and the facility since he was a puppy. I'll be finding a different boarder for the future.

boarded my cat Rose for 3 nights. We looked at the facility before deciding to board her there…read more When we toured there were no cats and the room was very clean. We brought her there on 7/3, we brought her a blanket toys and food. I explained how much and how ofter she eats. However upon picking up Rose I had several concerns. When we dropped her the other cat was free to roam which was what I saw, when I returned the same cat was out free to roam. I  was told not to worry that you all had experience with difficult cats, but between the two workers they both were afraid to let her out. My husband had to go get Rose out so my concern is that if you could not get her out today how were you getting her out the last 4 days for playtime or was she just confined to that small space. I also inquired about how was her condo so dirty and was told it took a little time to clean. The litter box was filthy as well. At home her litter box is cleaned twice a day. My other concern was that the bag of food that I brought there for Rose,  once returned had very little taken from the bag. I am very irritated and concerned about the dirty conditions Rose was subjected to and whether she was confined to that little space we removed her from. Rose is like a child to us and I thought that during my absence she was well taken care of.  It took us a while after getting home to calm her down.
