There has not been a time that I have not absolutely loved this place! I went to college at Stout and this was one of my main hangouts. Not just to drink, but to eat as well! Whenever family would come to visit I would HAVE to bring them to their amazing fish fry (you have to try the fried fish). Now, as an adult, if I am ever in the area for work, I insist on bringing my co workers to Log Jam. I have suggested this place to so many people and when I follow up about their experience, it is always so positive! The staff is young, vibrant and so friendly! They are always laughing and joking around with each other--while doing their jobs. This is rare to see in a restaurant atmosphere. They are doing it right-- Keep up the good work Log Jam. A disappointing visit for dinner tonight. I have been here before when my daughter attended Stout. It was really good then-about 5 years ago. We were there at about 6:00pm tonight and there were maybe three other tables of people. I got a chicken bacon ranch wrap that was very dry and beer battered fries. The fries tasted like the fry oil hasn't been changed in awhile. What was more disappointing was the fact that the bartender and at least 4 servers were standing at the end of the bar near the kitchen and were talking and laughing loudly. We had to hear about the drinking and puking night one girl had and they were also having shots while they were working. Pretty inappropriate. The music in the kitchen was very loud as well. A young man, our server, who was dressed as an elf did tell the kitchen staff to turn their music down. Eventually, one of the staff turned on the music in the dining area and that helped tone out some of their conversations. Everyone working seemed pretty young and there didn't seem to be a manager around. Had there been, I don't think the behavior would have been tolerated. read more

Food is pretty decent and beer selection is good. Fun for late night drinking as well.

Recent visit for beers.....sat at bar for 15 minutes before even being acknowledged, and it was not busy. Once service was received it was delivered with wise-ass attitude. Bartender seemed to get a thrill from thowing bottles into the trash in order to make the loudest sound possible. This place used to have some of the best bartenders in town....now very unprofessional and unattentive....unfortunate because we used to like to stop in. read more

It's a quaint restaurant. The food is pretty good, not out of this world though. The service is quick and professional, I have never had a poor experience there and the food is almost alway timely. And the prices are affordable on a college student budget, for the occasional night out. read more

Stopped in last Saturday for a quick lunch with my husband, place was moderately busy, as expected for a weekend. We chose to sit at the bar and were promptly greeted by the bartender(s). I had the fish tacos, he had a spicy steak wrap. We shared some delicious cheese curds for an appetizer. The tacos were decent, steak wrap was even better. My husband said the wrap was better than some steak burritos that he has had. Things went south when I was starting to get full and started people watching a bit. Not sure if it was the owner, but there was a gentleman sitting at the bar with 2-3 kids that were interacting with the staff (mainly servers). The staff seemed friendly and positive with the kids, which is great, until they started hugging, throwing around high fives etc... then immediately grabbing plates to bring to their waiting tables. Yes, immediately, without washing their hands. I then noticed the lack of uniforms among the staff. Servers were wearing stocking caps, athletic style head bands, and scarves (thick scarves that you would wear for warmth). I observed, on several occasions, servers adjusting these accessories, touching their hair, all while waiting to grab their orders as they were coming up. Again, no hand-washing taking place. My husband started to give me a hard time, because the more I looked the more unsanitary situations I found. Sigh, I hate seeming like I am nitpicking, but I've worked in the food industry, I know there is room for improvement, especially where safety and illness is concerned. On the way out, after seeing enough, I watched a bartender restock one of his bar veggies by reaching into the economy sized tub with his bare hands. At that point I don't even care if he washed his hands before or after, it's just unnecessarily barbaric. Have a little class and respect the intelligence of your patrons. read more

Good brunch menu on a Sunday morning. Huevos Rancheros were really good, different - more like a taco, but very good once I pulled out the jalapeños! Bloody Mary offered with a variety of levels of spice and comes with your choice of a beer chaser. We've been here before for both lunch and dinner, always a good experience. read more

Great breakfast and brunch options. I tried the biscuits and gravy and you could tell it is all homemade! Next time will try the ultimate biscuits and gravy but will need to split or be really hungry. Very generous portions so I thought the ultimate might be too big for me but it sounds so good! read more

Went for Fish Fry. Excellent Fish Fry; however, EXTREMELY SLOW Service, but the food is worth the wait. It is a typical college town restaurant/bar so don't expect much for décor. read more

Sports bar atmosphere, packed, college crowd mostly on Sun. night at 6pm. Fabulous beer selections - Dogfish 90 minute IPA on tap, try to find that somewhere else! Salmon sandwich was top shelf, a couple crumbles of bacon made it a home run. Fish tacos were excellent, fresh, crunchy, just a tad of heat. Service a bit slow, typical sports bar loud. If you're heading past on 94, a great stop. read more

Just left without eating, after being seated and then promptly ignored for 20+ minutes by servers and hosts, while tables around us get seated, order, and receive their food already. Even after asking the hostess for a server, we still got ignored. The breakfast isn't good enough to deal with such terrible service. read more

I've been to the Log Jam many times and I've never had a bad meal. The food is consistently flavorful and fresh. Their burgers and wraps are excellent and their salads--even just a simple side salad--are always fresh and nicely presented. The only thing that keeps me from giving them five stars is the service. The servers are not attentive and they are in no particular hurry to serve you. For example, we were there for lunch recently. The restaurant was about half full and it was more than adequately staffed. Yet it took ten minutes for us to get our drink order (sodas and water). After we had gotten our food, we didn't see our server again until we were on our last few bites. And it wasn't because she was busy; it was because she and the other servers were standing around talking. Nobody was tending to their customers, nobody was wiping tables or any of the other odd jobs you should be doing when you aren't busy with customers. If their service was as good as their food, the place would be a gold mine. read more

Worst service I have seen in a long time. Took 20 minutes from the time we got our menus to having the order taken, and we were at the bar with only one other couple sitting there. We saw our nachos come up on the heat lamp area and waited 10 minutes for them to be brought over, cold! We wanted to have more drinks but the 2 women who came on to bartend were too busy in their conversation with the male staff that had just got off. We went outside hoping the waitstaff out there might be better, no one ever touched base with us. I finally went up to a waitress heading in and asked for a drink. 10 minutes later no drink. Went into the bar and sat down and she came up and asked if we still wanted the drink, we said yes, and she said not to be rude but could you please order it from the bartenders. So we left, spent $50 bucks in food and drinks and would have spent a lot more. Did at another place. Funny, we told our story to the 29 people at that bar and one couple said they had been to your place earlier and sat there for a half an hour before they left with no service. We were both from out of town, and everyone at this place said that none if them ever go to your place. Sad, you have a nice place, just really bad workers. Oh by the way, I am a bartender/ supervisor and have been for a while, I would have fired every single one of your staff tonight. read more
