Our room was quiet and comfortable with streamline furnishings and cost bed linens. Lounge on the 3rd floor provided the most amazing coffee machine (24/7) and daily breakfast muffins. Free parking in nearby lot or street is always a plus. Nearby Driftless Cafe and other great shops were fun. The owners and staff were very helpful providing tips and information that made our stay a delight. Hotel Fortney is a favorite spot for us.

Yes they are good she said her husband would be back to plow before morning when Im just getting off work and lay some sand down and it never happend. Took me 3 tries to get up the hill because it hadn't been plowed.

Beds were also very comfortable as well. My only complaint - while it was nice to have A/C, it didn't work super well. The Old Town Motel is better then a motel 6 and just under a Holiday Inn Express,I will stay here again when I'm in the Westby area. All and all I recommend the Old Town Motel.

While the room rates are moderate and competitive, the breakfast is five star. My wife and I have stayed in this hotel several times and never been disappointed. There are all of the normal amenities, Cheese and crackers, Ice cream, and fresh chocolate chip cookies are often provided in the lobby. We will continue to periodically return.

I was able to sleep in, read, sit on the porch and watch the deer, and wander the area and property taking photographs. Read the FAQs, don't expect to be fed a whole lot to do--that's really not the point. I look forward to returning some day to experience what it's like in a different season and explore other roads and little gems in the Driftless.

There weren't a lot of instructions on where to find the remotes to the various electronics including the fan and the wifi did not work at all. The firewood was a bit expensive at 10$ per bundle. It was a small cozy little cottage and the owners made sure it had all the things you might need for a weekend getaway. The cabins are set in the beautiful hilly area of Driftless of Wisconsin and has absolutely stunning views. Might fo back to try a different cabin.
